    Come along with Bonnie as she teaches you how to crochet the EASY Wild & Wavy Baby Blanket! This baby blanket is a great stitch-builder project for those who are relatively new to crochet. Using colorful yarn, it is fun to crochet and will delight a baby's eyes for many hours!
    The written pattern for this blanket can be purchased here: www.lovecrafts...
    Yarn needed for this project: 2 skeins of Red Hearts' Super Saver Color Block yarn (100% acrylic, 10 oz/283 g, 482 yds/440 m) in "Party Time" color E308, or 960 yards of your favorite worsted weight yarn.
    To make this blanket wider, add multiples of 17 (to original starting chain of 104) for each additional chevron you wish to add.

    I'm a "Newbie" to crocheting and thanks to ALL of your tutorials, I'm loving every minute of it! My daughter's 1st grade teacher is expecting a baby due in June and this is the blanket that my daughter and I chose for me to make as a gift! Can't wait until I finish it! 💖

    This is really beautiful! From last few weeks, I'm very much into puff stitch. I don't know why I'm so fond of this stitch now but I'm just loving how cushiony that stitch looks on a design.     This one is really different wave. Another one for my list of ‘want to make’ . Don’t think that RH yarn is available here. But I like those colors. Not that I need any more yarn.
    That is a pretty lime green yarn.

      Brenda Bickerstaff feel free to use what you have available. This may look even better if you choose the colors you love! Honestly, this was “I’m desperate to get some yarn and this was the best I could do at my local Walmart” while getting a mandatory food pick up type of yarn purchase!😂😂😂

      BonnieBayCrochet yes and had been eyeing it for months!
      Then I’d think I’m getting and the tow colors I favored where always gone. Had to buy one of each and then checked back when they got more in got two more. Hopefully it be enough for the project!
      Have to finish a few b4 I start another.

    I'm going to try this stitch for a blanket for one of my grandkids. I have one who is 17 (a senior in high school), two 12 year olds, two 9 year olds and two 4 year olds.

    This is absolutely beautiful! I will definitely be making this, I love it! I have the perfect yarn, however, it is a #3 wt. Would you please tell me what the multiples are for the starting chain?       Just add multiples of 17 to the existing starting chain.

    I actually just use that same color to make a hat and it was a beautiful color I don't know if it's the same but mine was the red heart brand which is kind of itchy so I think I'm going to get like a red heart awesome or even a Lion Brand that's in the same color because regular red heart acrylic just seems really itchy for some reason

      Laundering as per instructions and using a liquid fabric softener helps tremendously with this yarn 😁 Love Red Heart they have a great color selection, hope it helps!

      @@priscillaperrin4808 sweet I'll have to take a chance with that. I noticed the multi colored yarns by Red Heart is a bit scratchy, but the regular colored yarn is alright. I love the Red Heart Awesome Yarn

    Hi Bonnie love this blanket. I have 3 skiens of 50g/1 3/4 oz of chunky yarn 2 are dark blue & one is baby blue, I don't know if I have enough yarn for this pattern & I'm trying to figure out how to work the colors. Any suggestions? I'm new at this but really bad at putting colors together. Your a wonderful teacher, thank you for all you do for us newbies. Lol. Oh & how many chains if I want to make it smaller. Thanks 💕

    Hi Bonnie!!! I have finally gotten up the courage to try this blanket and was wondering how many chain stitches would I add to make this into a throw blanket instead of the baby blanket?? (In your other videos you will usually say, for example, if you want to make it larger add chains of 4 or 5 to desired width.)

    The Red Heart color blocking yarn is difficult to find? Can you substitute with self striping yarn?

      You can use anything you wish. If you change yarn colors (manually) every 2 rows you can get some amazing results too!

    Sorry for asking you about this because it has nothing to do with the blanket ☺️ but i just bought a pattern for socks and i dont understand a thing. The only Way i can croche is when i do your Vidios. Do you have done a vidio where you explain patterns and what the different thing mean? I really hope you Will help me.     I love this pattern, so I bought it hoping the multiple for the foundation chain would be listed , because I want to make a different size than in your pattern. In your tutorial, you said to chain in groups of 5. In the pattern, however, you chained 104, which in not a multiple of 5. So, what is the multiple for the foundation chain? Thanks.

      The multiple of 5 was just a way to keep track of crocheting so many chains.

    Is the stitch count on row 2 always be 101 for every sc row?

      Yes, the stitch count remains the same for all sc rows.

      Ok. I will count all my stitches and come up with 101, then I do my puff stitches and dc and I will be darned that after I get to the end I have an extra stitch. I went back to make sure that all the work I just did had the right count. So that being said, what do I do with an extra stitch??🤔

    That's exactly the same color I use on my hat it came out so is she for some reason maybe it was just a bad batch of yarn I don't know I mean legit Saints game same color same amount 482 yards is 440 m I don't know why mine came out so scratchy feeling the Hat I didn't do a blanket I did a hat

      Yes, this isn't my favorite yarn to the touch, but it will be very durable for a baby blanket and stand up to washing after washing. I definitely would not make a garment out of this. I would go for a softer yarn for sure!

      @@BonnieBayCrochet oh yeah for sure I just I think what I was trying to say is I used to use nothing but Red Heart yarn even some Walmart brand yarn and then I got turned on two different brands and I kind of spoiled myself with the more luxurious yarn I suppose you could say but no red heart is definitely soft after a few Washings for sure I have a blanket that I've been working on for a few years now I'm adding a little by little to it and it's made out of mostly Red Heart yarn and I've washed it I don't know so many different times it's not even funny but it's like super sauce I also have some different kinds of yarn in there too but not a lot it's mostly red heart because red heart is cheaper when it comes to making bigger items

I am enjoying finding other cost-effective acrylic yarns (like PaintBox from Love Crafts, and Brava by Knit Picks) on-line these days and especially because I can never find enough of the same dye lots in the stores for my throws. And I know what you mean about becoming spoiled with better high-end yarns! I'm loving every minute of the learning curve in this area.

      @@BonnieBayCrochet ooooh giiiirl you will have to send me a little list of what you have found! I found some really nice, soft, 100% acrylic and semi cheap yarn at Hobby Lobby, it is called " I love this Yarn" they have some very nice colors and color variations!
