    To be honest, I think this pattern, "blanket" in particular looks best unblocked. The wavy combined with the bobbles looks so texturally striking. Just in my opinion of course. Cant wait to make this. Thank you

    Hello Bonnie. Last year I had an accident which left me house bound for 3 months. After a 28yr gap I decided to buy a 5m hook, ball of yarn and reconnect with a hobbie I once loved. So being a bit rusty. I came across your tutorials. You give easy to follow but beautiful patterns. You inspired me and I now feel back to my once advanced self. After just a few months I built up a collection of hooks yarns and Bonnie playlist!!. I have just made chevron bobble blanket for my baby granddaughter with a verigated yarn. It looks beautiful and I can’t wait to hand it over once we are allowed to be with our loved one’s during this difficult time. Again. During lockdown, you haven’t failed to provide. Please excuse this very long comment. I just wanted to let you know I am a huge uk fan of yours. God bless,stay safe and keep them coming 💕

    I’d like to make it bigger....how many more stitches do I need to add to make it 36” wide?

The one I'm interested in now is Easy ripples and bobbles but I cannot fine the pattern. I'm a beginner and having the instructions is a must for me. Hope this problem can be solved. Looking forward to some more great crocheting.

    Thank you for showing us how to do this baby blanket. I have made children’s sweaters and hats and quilts as charity projects in the past. I was looking for a different project for the women and children’s assistant program in town. I first searched for the pattern of a rippled afghan like I had made 50 years ago, but decided that it was just too plain, even with color changes. I was so happy to see this video come up on suggested videos. I’ve knitted for years but with two new kittens two needles plus yarn has been just too much of a temptation for them. Crocheting makes more sense, because I have a hand that I can use to remove them from my lap and not lose stitches. Keep up the good work. I will past the link for this video on to my left handed friend who also does charity projects. (She finds knitting too hard to do.) Once again thank you for a very clear tutorial. Bless you.
    If you haven’t done it already would you consider doing a crocheted hat with random bobbles?

    This is a beautiful blanket. I’m making it in solid pale yellow and it’s looking great. My only concern is that it might not be easy to look after. I will block it when it’s finished but wonder how it will stand up to being washed. Hopefully it will be ok if it’s dried flat. I think I’ll have to wash it before I gift it. I’ve used a 50 50 bamboo and acrylic. It’s quite soft dk weight and I’m using a 5mm hook.

    I would like to crochet into the "BACK BAR" on this design. I love that look with the ripple. Question is when I get to the bobble, should I crochet into both loops to make the bobble more sturdy, or should I also just crochet into the BACK BAR on the top and bottom of the bobble? Thank you for any advise that you can give.

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  2 года назад +1

      That’s an excellent question. I’ve not made this only working the back bar, but I do think working through bit loops of the popcorn stitch will ensure more integrity of these stitches.😊

      To make this blanket wider simply add 16 chains to the original starting chain for each chevron you wish to add. So to answer your question, you would need 162 stitches for the range you asked about, giving you 2 additional chevrons.

    I used the yarn she recommended. I would just like to comment on the yarn. The videos instructions are great but the yarn that is used is NOWHERE near as colorful and the variations are not the same as what you see with this video. They're very haphazard. 😔 There is a lot of a type of red which is a dull brown/rust, the purple is brownish gray and the green has a total of 1 (3 rows)stripe in my lot at least. The yellow is bright but there is a LOT of it. The orange is nice but minimal. Very disappointed as I bought 4 skeins.

    • @dawnamendola8690
      @dawnamendola8690 3 года назад

      every skein is a little bit different and it depends on the lot number that you pick up personally I use mandala yarn a lot and I never had any issue with the colors not being bright enough yes I do come across the issues that you're having but it's not a big deal and it happens on occasion it's the way the yarn is produced I really like mandala yarn

    Will this workwork with a half double crochet or a double crochet beings that it has the bobbles I want a looser fabric and I feel like the single crochet produces a much denser fabric this is a beautiful blanket and thank you for the tutorial

      That's a great question Dawn. That would change this design a lot I think. I do however have other versions of ripple baby blankets in this playlist using larger stitches (there are 4 additional ripples): ruclips.net/p/PLoIugZBYOS0VMMo45FxyUH1baNFh3XIqY

    If I needing to do a bigger blanket do I need to keep on adding the multiple of 16 untill I want the size ..
    I love your work as well..as well just watching your video im just asking if we can use the hump on the back of the stitches for the bottom

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  3 года назад

      Yes, just continue to add multiples of 16 to the original starting chain to widen. Not sure I understand the last questions about using the hump on the back of the stitches, unless you are talking about the starting chain. If that's the case, by all means!

    Can I use a size 4 wool for the ripples and bobbles baby blanket?

      You certainly can Francine, but I would upsize the hook to match the yarn you choose.

      I personally wouldn't use a border Mommy Kim. The chevrons are the main feature of this design.

    Hi if you were to use the individual colours of the rainbow what row would you change colour row 4 ?

    • @BonnieBayCrochet
      @BonnieBayCrochet  3 года назад +1

      Are you asking how many rows to make of each color? If so, that really depends upon how wide you prefer your stripes to be. Just be sure to pick an even number for each color so it looks consistent for the color changes.

      Hi, I may have been mistaken about that color Gnome, it was very similar to the one I already had in my stash. The other color choice it could be is Sprite. But there are so many beautiful colors to choose from it’s hard to decide. Good luck.

    • @BonnieBayCrochet

      You can add multiples of 16 to the original starting chain for each ripple you wish to add. You can always find this information in the video description.
