Such a cute blanket Bonnie. Wanted to mention: hope you never change the beginning of every video with the music 🎶 you play. I Love it!! And it always feels like Home🏡
Oh dear! I actually did change it a few years ago. I just strummed a few chords on my guitar and went with it. Some of my very early videos didn't have any intro music (I'm always learning on my site). Thanks for the kind comment MaryAnne!
❤ love this blanket. With the bobble stitch I did a treble crochet instead of a double crochet. It makes the bobbles pop out more. Definitely an easy blanket to follow along with. I love the edges, the chain at the end of each row helps. Thank you.
beautiful and easy! Since I couldn't find the yarn you used, I made it with Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in Scuba. Beautiful shades of dark blues and light blues.

Thank you so much for this tutorial Bonnie. 🤍 I absolutely love this blanket I made it in pale lemon and grey and it’s beautiful..I think my favourite so far and I have made lots of blankets but this was my first time doing the bobble stitch and I really enjoyed doing it. 😊
Hi Bonnie oh my goodness you have no idea how much you helped me finding this pattern, l was feeling very down and crochet usually helps, but couldn't get my crochet enthusiasm back, then l saw you, huge thanks for lifting my spirits 😊😊😊😊
So glad to hear that Deborah. I strongly believe that crocheters are able to grow and learn a LOT more than most publishers give us credit. Hope you are feeling better. God has used this craft in my life to get through some very dark hours.
Thanks Sylvia! My goal is to prove that there really aren't hard patterns, especially when taken in small bites. I don't want anyone excluded from any of my designs.
Hello....your work is very beautiful. So nice.......unbeliveble. I am from germany , so sorry for my bad english. If my son's wife get a baby,I will make a blanket like this ! Greetings Silvia 🙋🏼♀️👍🌹🌹🌹🥰

I have not used them extensively Dawn, but their handle is pretty nice. I think it is like trying on shoes: you need to find a fit that suits you the best, and that is different from person to person. You may want to buy one and give it a try, or borrow one from a friend to test-drive it!😊
Heather Washington Thank you so much for asking this question. I am making this now and needed it to be larger but could not figure out how many to add.
Good evening When we start do we do in a multiples of 5 plus 1 when we have the desire of stitches.i really love the effect of the patterns that you have done as well
I am going to make this with a lighter weight yarn........what is your finished size of this blanket with your weight yarn? We live in Florida and I want it to be a very light weight blanket. Do I need to adjust the beginning chains???
This is a great pattern! I'm about to start doing the border, thanks to your tutorial. Question: at the beginning you had us chain 91. If I want it to be bigger, what multiple do I need to use when I do the initial chain?
Kara Kalenak yes, there are always other considerations (turning chain, where the first stitches are placed, etc), which is why I suggest adding the multiples to the existing starting chain.
Hi Bonnie, lovely tutorial, i would like to crochet this blanket for a baby cot, How many chains should i start with, how long, and how many balls of yarn. :)
Not really sure Maria because of all the unknown factors: size desired, thickness of yarn being used, hook size, personal crocheting style, etc. I can tell you that you can make this wider by adding multiples of 4 to the existing starting chain.
Bonnie, if we want to make the blanket bigger, what is the formula we need to calculate the starting number of chains, please? I love this blanket, but I might end up wanting to keep it for myself! :) Thanks in advance.
Hi Bonnie. Can I just ask please. With the starting chain of 91. Do I add 4 to the initial 91 chains to make it wider. I can’t seem to get the stitch count correct and I can’t make it work out.
Hi Bonnie, Do you know if that yarn is still available? I am looking for the same and have not been able to find. Love this little blanket, can't wait to start.
I just found this on Premier Yarn's site: www.premieryarns.com/products/candyshop So it looks like they are still making it. Perhaps you can contact them to find the nearest retailer? I hope this works!

What is the pattern repeat so I can make it a different size?
This is a beautifull pattern, I wanted to make it a little longer. Would you be able to tell me on the starting chain, what are the multiples to use?

Love this simple pattern. How many stitches do you suggest adding to make wider. More towards 48” in width
Honestly it is hard to say because of the possible difference in crochet style. You can add in multiples of 4.
BonnieBayCrochet 81 isn’t multiple of 4. Do you times by 4 and add 1 or something??
Kara Kalenak yes, there are always other considerations (turning chain, where the first stitches are placed, etc), which is why I suggest adding the multiples to the existing starting chain.
Thank you for this tutorial. I have a lot of the Candy Shop yarn and wasnt sure what I was going to make. Now I know. ❤
If I wanted a blanket half that size, could I start off with a chain 46?
