I hate that the show producers make these vulnerable people appear on camera wearing their underwear. It is a ridiculous shaming tactic. Viewers can clearly see these show participants are morbidly obese when the participants are wearing their regular clothing. Kudos to the participants for having the courage to address their food addictions. 👏

    Really inspiring....I am not obese..
But I was the scapegoat of a psycho "mother"
I had to take over and learn to take care of a "family" of 7 at 14...
    I did everything...and everything well...
    AND NOTHING WAS GOOD ENOUGH..
I finally walked away at 40...
But suffered crippling injury theft from husband and sisters..MAJOR disasters..
So...I finally felt like giving up ...I have not been taking care of myself...
    It is time...
this was very inspiring...thank you all for being so vulnerable.

It’s crazy how a person can’t walk up stairs from their weight and they still eat and eat. My one buddy is 400 pounds and complains about his knees and back hurting and saying he’s getting old and what not and I said buddy don’t be mad at me but if u lost weight you wouldn’t have such bad pain. He told me he doesn’t have time to work out and when he does he’s in pain. I said buddy it’s 6 pm ur sitting on the couch u have time and if ur in too much pain then u need to start by going on a diet and only drink water u will start loosing weight just from that! Then just get some small weights and start doing some small exercises on the couch! Then start doing some walking u don’t have to start walking a mile ur first day! Just walk a few laps around ur house every day and once a week add another lap to ur daily walk. It will be slow at first but eventually u will get it.
This lady said she doesn’t have the time well it takes zero time to eat right and drink water. You can find 30 min a day to work out.

There are many professional trainers who say it is absolutely irresponsible to make a morbidly obese person run, it´s dangerous, she could really ruin her knees, she could much more easily trip and fall at that weight (and falling at that weight is way more dangerous). At that weight, the only things she should be doing are things that are soft on the joints: swimming, biking maybe (or aqua biking), strenght training, walking...

Like many of us with weight issues, making accuses, reasoning behind why we can't do it and resisting the obvious is one of the the problems. While being totally honest and open with ourselves and others about our weakness is very empowering. We are human and that makes us imperfect but the truth can set us free.I found in my weight loss journey by giving up processed foods, white foods including sugar gave me big Jumpstart on losing. We all differ but after all its said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result rang true in my case. Whole foods and being well nourished help those cravings that I discovered came from many of those processed foods.Accept, forgive and move on, don't make it harder than it has to be. Best wishes to anyone that goes down this path, it is possible, and u are stronger than you may think and its worth the fight.

If he were still alive, I can only imagine Steve Irwin and his kind, happy, exuberant, enthusiastic personality being a weight loss coach over there.
Ya know, she does burn calories just by moving, working, housework even before this. Had she done the high protein, low carb way of life eating, she'd have lost tons of weight in no time flat. Yes, you have to want to do it. I did decades ago after my unhealthy eating habits and getting so self-disgusyed with my own weight gain (even though I was only 145/150 lbs and 5'3" that was too much for me. The point of change came to where I could only fit comfortably in size 15/16 pants. That's when I'd had enough with myself and I decided to do something about it. I cut out breads, sweets, cereals, starches and just ate plenty of steaks, hamburger meat, salads with dressing, egss, bacon, cottage cheese (as much as I wanted) fast walked around neighborhood to my headphones playing my tunes and within about 2 months, down to 101 lbs. The slightest movement of seeing the scale go down only bolstered my will power more. It can work if you, yourself are bent on doing it and the reward is all worth it!
