Thank you very much dude. I was trying to root my Verizon G3 and somehow messed up. I kept getting a security certificate error and it wouldn't boot. Followed your guide and now my phone is working properly. Just took a while to download Marshmallow from the site you provided, and another 30 minutes to install it.

If you can find a TOT, try using the LGUP tool and use that to flash it. :)
I think its just a different format of a factory/stock image. As Ariel said, she found a TOT only.

Anyone needing the kdz or tot files for lg g3 all models including international. Follow these steps: Use chrome browser and go to Google and search "LG g3 firmware" then the first link should be from xda and it should say something like "guide lg g3 stock firmware go back to stock" click on it. Then tap the 3 dot menu from the top right of chrome browser not the webpage and click "find on page" then in the find on page search type "storage" and the results should highlight a link that says storagecow. From that link find your model and ta-da! Also the files with 10b in their name r the stock stock Android version. And the ones with 30 or 20 in their name after model number mean they r lollipop or marshmallow. Your Welcome in advance😊😊

Hello, than you for this video, I unpplug when i see the "connection server", so now the screen stuck in download mode. I try the hard reboot after saying yes I'm still stuck in the same screen. If you can help would be great . thank you
please help, I tried to do this, but after it reboot, it went straight to firmware update screen again...
Try the process again and then disconnect the device and try booting it without it being connected to the PC. :)

I've been trying to just make my phone work for 5 hours now... All went fine, but when i go into download mode, the "PHONE IS DISCONNECTED FROM PC" window keeps popping up...
The drivers are installed, but there is a yellow triangle in the device manager, indicating that there is something wrong, and its not categorized under ports, but USB's...

Okay, so it did actually work, but when the support tool is installing the upgrade, and the "Connection to server failed" pops up, the installer is not continuing to do its work, it stops and says "Upgrade stopped due to an error", and gives me instructions on how to try the upgrading process again....

My LG G3's modem (3g, 4g, calls) doesnt work anymore after flashed Cloudy 2.5. I already did a KDZ Flash (to stock KK/LP) and flashed some .zip modems with TWRP and it still not working. I don't have ideia what to do now.

Sorry it's been years since I've played around with an LG phone. I would check out a different tool called LGUP, you should check around the XDA forum for your device.

I soft bricked my d855 while flashing ROM. now while flashing the stock ROM it freezes at 4% and then it stops working.
You just have to keep trying, if it still persists, try using LGUP instead.

Are you able to see the progress bar once that error pops up? Or does it 'replace' the progress screen. You could try the new LGUP tool, I don't know exactly on how to use it but otherwise just keep trying, with different ports and cables and even computers. :)
soooo, I ended up just using the LGUP tool, all worked fine, but when it comes to the phone actually booting up I the screen just irregularly flashes black on and off. I think the phone may have some deeper issues

It shouldn't touch your network lock. If it was unlocked, it should remain unlocked if it was done properly (or factory unlocked). As long as you flash the right KDZ for your phone, you'll be fine.

***** it doesn't no. Will try another port tomorrow. It'll run to 2% and fail twice then just has the option to exit. Tried two cords but will try another port and report back. Thanks for the speedy reply

Apparently doing a normal flash won't erase any data as it just flashes the ROM. I would be careful though, as I haven't personally used the normal flash before.
I am trying to resort my phone to stock firmware after it sort of didn't want to boot at all...
I can't get it to load the software, It get stuck at a few percent and the word ASSERT appears in red in the commend on the phone. After that the screen goes black and the process stops...

If this is the bootloop caused by hardware failure, this probably won't help but I guess it won't hurt to try. :)
Thanks for video..When I follow the steps you suggested I stuck in alert "Connection to server failed. Try again in a moment". I have tried 10 times but still same error. I have changed usb cable and port too but same message.. I have internet working in my machine. So, would you please suggest any solution for that?
Oh, I thought I mentioned it in my video, but if you see that, try moving the dialog out of the way and the progress bar should move. That's what it said for me as well but it kept on going in the background. :)

I guess you could try the LGUP tool that I put in the more info. It has worked for some others as they were the ones suggesting it for others. :)

You might be able to do that but some things may not work properly, such as the radio and others. I'd recommend sticking to the KDZ that the site gives you. Or one that is made for your model.

+ERIC LOPEZ I don't think you'll be able to restore it without backups. I'm not sure how it was changed nor do I know how to change it back or apply another IMEI, sorry.

Hey do you know anything about recovering the wifi driver?
(I believe my wifi corrupted) The wifi toggle button AND in the settings was not functioning. In fact, when I try to turn it on, it'll be searching for wifi forever, like a loop. And thus result in crashing some of my apps when it's on like that.
I tried factory resetting, getting new battery, and now kdz, still not nothing.

If you're able to get into the "qualcomm hs-usb qdloader" this might be of some use for you. I've heard some requirements for shorting pins and what not just to get into that mode, but if you can see it in Device Manager, then I think you can go for it.

Every time I try and do it, it goes to upgrading your phone.... and it doesn't show any error page. However, the process is stuck at 4% and the phone doesn't show COM 5, it just has the firmware update screen, without it showing any progress. Any Help?
It worked, I just needed to wait a few minutes then it automatically changed to com 4 and the update worked successfully, thank you so much.

I'm sure in the more info I have linked to a site that can use your IMEI (take what you want from that) and search for the most recent KDZ for your phone. Otherwise, Google would be your friend.

Heya, the problem with my phone (D855) is that the screen would go mad at first, registering touches that I did not touch, then my screen stopped working completely and still went on it's own mission. I then factory reset the device by holding the unlock and volume down button hoping that it would solve the issue, but now the phone is stuck on the LG logo screen when booting. I tried going into download mode, but it still goes to the LG boot screen. I tried flashing the rom anyway (as windows does recognise the device and makes the connection sound when I plug it in) it goes to about 4% then fails. I am on windows 10 and I do not have another pc to try 7, 8 or 8.1 on it... However I doubt it is a windows issue. Please help!
You most certainly need to try get into download mode. I think it goes straight in so there's no LG logo. Take out the battery, put it in and then hold volume up and plug in the USB cable. :)
It seems like it completed the flash (I used LGUP and that then put my phone in download mode for me, then I went back to using LG flash tool)! I ran the flash tool in windows 7 compatibility mode in windows 10. My phone rebooted, it optimized my apps but then it went back to the LG logo and stayed there for 20 minutes... It took you 10 minutes to do everything so is it safe to say my phone is stuck? I did a hard reset (as recommended if you get a bootloop), it stayed in the loading screen a while, then optimized the apps again, but it went straight back to the LG loading screen (the green and blue leds are flashing and at least my screen isn't freaking out anymore I could do the hard reset without a problem). It then optimized the apps a second time... What is this called? A hard reset loop hahah or is it still classified as a bootloop? So it is better, but it is now in a Hardreset/bootloop. Should I try and leave it for a few hours?
Tom Sephton I may have mentioned in the video that the connection to the server error is fine. If you move the dialog away you should be able to see the progress move along.
I went back and looked, sorry my mistake, please see my edited version.
+Tom Sephton I dont think you'll need to leave it for more than 20 min. if it still won't boot up, do a factory reset. :) power off, hold power and volume down. when you see the lg logo, release and quickly hold the same buttons again and you should see the menu to factory reset. :)
Question, will the TOT or kdz method work to set me back to stock from cm12.1? (5.1.1) I'd be downgrading to 5.0 I believe. I have twrp, will I lose twrp? Also do I have to flash modems or anything like that to get my data and messages working or will everything be fine?
***** Last time I had to do a restore from twrp and each time I got to the end of lg setup wizard, it crashed and restarted the setup wizard! So if I grab a d851 kdz from online somewhere and flash it, I won't have any data/service issues and that problem won't be present?
