This is young Big Boss, as he gets older his voice starts to sound like Keifer Sutherland before settling on Richard Doyle when he is an Old man.
Solid Snake would have done the same but he started to rapidly age before he could go through the proper voice stages so he was Hayter for his whole life.
Yeeeeees. I got so excited hearing his voice again.
It is good to see real Snake again!

I thought the same thing! How is it that when he flip/rolls, dirt realistically gets shot up into the air, but then he’s hanging on a flimsy bridge but no weight transfer. Hmmmm. Still gonna be a great game.

Certain scenes with Eva will definitely be too much for "modern audiences" and I also wonder how The Boss's character will be done and reacted to by the so called "journalists".

@@Mirko02j new engine, they couldn't have 1:1 reuse animations. It may look similar but it shares the new look of weight and impact of the other animations
@@Generic_Name_1-1 there are ways to reuse animations as long as the source file exists, but I'd say this is likely using animations from Metal Gear Solid 5 or at least some of them for sure
@@Generic_Name_1-1 Animation files are pretty same. Old animation files are simply subset of modern files. It can be easily converted to new file format.

PlayStation claimed 2024 in a promo video, and they also had SH2 remake in that video before it received it’s date of October 8th this year. It’ll most likely be releasing this year for sure.
Better they don't rush this thing and fumble the bag hard. This needs to be good or the franchise is kinda really cooked
Agreed, late & polished is always better than early & undercooked. In saying that though, it looks absolutely gorgeous from what we’ve seen here already.

Big Boss's model looks great. Still pretty but very tough looking. Fairly faithful to the original

It has since the original. Which makes sense as Snake is recovered by the Fulton system at the end of the virtuous mission.

playing this on amazing Japanese PlayStation 5 it's going to be fun with the new dual sense controller. hope this game still has the ape escape missions from PS2 version which was crazy good

Graphics are pretty solid
Aside from the Realistic texture, the trailer is quite disapointing as it felt like a genetic video games trailer rather than an movie trailer, as it lack that cinematic feeling we often associate with Metal Gear.

On my first 3 playthroughs, I thought EVERYONE killed The End in the wheelchair cutscene... Imagine my surprise when I realised you were actually supposed to fight him 🙃

Growing up with this series, I can't wait for this remake! Glad they brought back David Hayter. Wouldn't be MGS without him.

You all know they are just using the voice recordings from the PS2 version, yes? That's one of the scummiest ways to avoid paying voice actors to do the dialogue along.
Or a way to remain faithful to the original. 20 years does a lot to people’s vocal abilities.
