79 Ironhead Electric Starter and Solenoid

Brief video demonstrating the gear engagement of the electric foot on the left side primary chain case. The starter on this IH more often than not kept turning when the bike was started. I replaced the solenoid and the problem went away. Now I have a short in the electrical system off one of my circuit breakers.

The outer cover supplies the other bearing support on these.

I have the same issue.it just spins freely when trying to start
