Deputy Raylan Givens has his own, Wild West-style methods of upholding justice, putting him at odds with the criminals he hunts and with his bosses in the U.S. Marshals Service. And an incident prompts his reassignment to the Kentucky district where he grew up. The character is based on one created by author Elmore Leonard in several books and short stories.

Never understood running down the middle of the road
Being from E Kentucky myself, I can vouch for abandoned coal mines and vent shafts.
The average ventilation shaft dept is 725’. Deeper shafts have been sunk to allow for deeper mining.
How is Kentucky ? Beautiful vallleys and hills ? I come from Belgium and live there
Coover intended to kill that little girl. What exactly did Dickie expect Raylan to do? Mags and Doyle *had* to know what would happen. Mags used to have take a 10 pound sledge to Coover's hands for "misbehaving". That's not something you "manage".
Yeah, Coover was wild. He was gonna kill Loretta if not for Raylan and Dickie ALMOST calmed him down until he said the wrong thing which royally pissed him off. This was pretty much the beginning of the end for the Bennetts. Once Coover died, Mags cut the deal with Boyd which ended up being a mistake and Dickie got cut out which launched the bloodbath that got Aunt Helen killed and Ava shot.
Then we get the final showdown with Mags getting shot, Raylan getting shot, Doyle getting his skull capped and then Mags just ending it as she poisons herself while finally making peace with Raylan. This ended up being an outstanding season.
@@LenGott8345 Coover seemed to be the linchpin for the downfall of the Bennett's. He caused so many problems but Mags treated him with kid gloves and didn't properly rein him in like she should have.
And yes. This was my favorite season and Mags was my favorite antagonist next to Boyd. Probably the best season overall, imo
@@TheRealBDouble Agree totally with you both. S1 really was the best. And Mags' ending, "It was already in the glass." was so shocking.
Think it was a ball peen not a sledge
Raylan's butter smooth draw of his Glock 21 from the back up holster and the shot through the neck, that man is a BAD ASS!!
Are you in love with raylan?
That was a Glock 26 his primary is a Glock 17 despite the fact he claims to use a 45
@@jimmyconway2800 You sure? I never heard Raylan claim he used a .45. But his primary looks a little short to be a Glock 17. I assumed it was a 19 -- smaller size would mean it clears a holster faster.
@@danieldickson8591 it's a 17 I have one on my hip right now ik what they look like and after one of his shootings (I think the black dude who killed that lady bounty hunter he knew) art asks him what new gun he's gonna get and he says a 45 he also tells that judge he was body guarding in season 1 or 2 he uses a 45
Lord, I miss this show sooo much!! :-)
But can we talk about how willing Raylan is to stand and just be present when Loretta needed him the most.
If he fell for 6 seconds, he would have fallen about 579 feet. The fall would not kill him, but the hitting the bottom would.
LMAO 😂😂 Last part you said reminds me of a tire shop where they said don’t worry it’s not flat. It’s only flat on the bottom. Rest is still round
"It's not the fall that kills you, but the sudden stop at the bottom" - Douglas Adams.
In other words "Gravity".
Well. The gunshot didn't help haha
He died from deceleration trauma.
Coover was a mad dog without a rational thought in his head. Had to be put down.
Like a governors dog
Intense scene. Coover sounds like he fell for 5 or 6 seconds. Makes me wonder how deep that mine was
Why wonder?
Get a pen and do the math.
Just remember he didn’t fall far enough to ever reach terminal velocity.
Off the top of my head more than 500 feet
Well I came up with 180 meters, so 590 feet?
It went all the way to the bottom.
Godspeed, Brad William Henke (Coover)
I had forgotten he had passed. #RIP
Not that old either, I remember him in the NFL
I had no idea he passed. This saddens me.
@@Adiscretefirm Only 56. Sure didn't look it, granted he was about 13yrs younger at the time of this scene. But still, I would've gauged him to be low-30's in this.
The difference between this show and the new show is that in the old show, Raylan had this sort of justified ruthlessness about him that's missing in the new show. The supporting characters in the original show were also better written and better acted.
I’ve seen one clip from the new show and it just felt so cold and lifeless that I have no interest in the rest of the season
Coover won the first fight.
Too dump to realize that "fighting fair" against someone like him involves a gun, knife, or something heavy and blunt.
Coover flew out of bounds. He wont be back.
😂😂😂
I was told Justified season two was going to be a bunch of woke BS. No proof, but i wouldn't doubt it.
Like the new show? Probably. So what no one likes it anyway because it sucks
What are you on about? The new season, yeah - it's awful. However, this original series has nothing of the sort and is quite possibly one of the greatest shows to ever exist.
