Raylan Has a Standoff with Two Idiots | Justified Season 3 Episode 3 | Now Playing
Raylan has a standoff with idiots is pretty much the entire show. And it's glorious.
Look we all know we're living vicariously through him. In real life, he would have been fired about a month after his hiring
The only times that Raylan has a standoff with non idiots is when he has standoffs with Boyd.
A lot fewer idiots in Harlan after Raylan was there.....
@@joemckim1183 Absoultly
"The answer is me and dead owls don't give a hoot". Got damn the writing for this show was genius
nah he was a Kentuckian
The series is based on a short story(Fire in the Hole) by Elmore Leonard, writer of some of the best American English dialogue ever published.
The list of Elmore Leonard stories made into movies is extensive and you are guaranteed to have heard of many of them.
ZHG!
"No, no seriously, it wasn't me this time! They killed themselves!"
Art: “You don’t even have to try anymore do ya? Bad guys see you coming, they shoot themselves!”
“I wasn’t in a shooting, I was just…near one.”
At this point in the series it's like the third time...
@@rycs16 “This is Deputy Marshal Givens…I need a squad car…and the usual.”
@@MisterSmith00 Dispatch, "Ah shit, Raylan, how many this time??"
Raylan, "Two...and believe it or not, they shot each other."
Dispatch, "You're right, I don't believe it..."
Raylan, "0_o"
"aaaww shit!" He's thinking of the paperwork.
he's thinking he missed a shot at Duffy.
Yup, and the earful that Art is about to give him 🤣🤣
Eh it’s less paperwork when he isn’t the one shooting criminals, more like as a witness.
He wanted the info on Wynn Duffy.
Scenes like this remind me of what a great series it was.
Me and dead owls don't give a hoot . Love Raylon
“Someone thinks they’re an owl”
“Who?”
Getting the criminal to call 911 for you is the most badass thing ever.
And that criminal has to say 9 1 1 out loud so that he makes sure he dials the correct number.
looked like rickety cricket in the back, there.
@@amandahugankiss4110His luck is about the same as his.
What makes this even funnier... guaranteed, a US Marshal has had to deal with something even MORE ridiculous.
"dial 911"
dial 911 "okay I dialed 911, now what?"
Imagine the read through... Tim Oly reads the script and goes, "hmm, I say me and the dead owls don't give a hoot" .... "well alright then!"
This is one scene that Raylan had NO control over and it's funny to watch him see where it was going...I think we all knew. LOL
There gets to be a critical mass of stupid to where there's no stopping the explosion.
@@danieldickson8591More like a criminal mass, am I right?
Raylan is going to think about this in his old age and laugh.
Raylon is upset because they would have given up much bigger fish.
and the paperwork
@@harryc1971Eh it’s less paperwork when he isn’t the one doing the shooting, more like as a witness. But he knows Duffy is a threat and could’ve put him away or contained him.
@@harryc1971 No, I think it was losing the lead on Duffy and others. He didn't shoot anyone so his paperwork is minimal.
Rylan just letting shit sort itself out.
Patient is underestimated.
This wasn't what Raylan wanted. If they both die he's left with nothing but explaining this to Art, and a bunch of paperwork. There was just nothing he could do in the face of that much dumb.
Nothing got sorted out, he just missed an opportunity to take down Duffy. That’s why he’s so frustrated.
Dangit. Now I need to rewatch Justified yet again. Thanks a lot....
The guy in the back seat was the original Raylan. Wonder how he felt watching someone do it much better & the show a huge hit?
What do you mean? He was cast as raylan before Olyphant?
@@kiko1935James LeGros played Raylan in the movie "Pronto" (1997)
I've been told that James played the character closer to the book.
But I like angry Raylan better.
Awesome! Thank you I LOVE hearing about people who were either replaced, or turned down role and deeply regretted it. I can’t quite remember who turned down Solo from star wars then Harrison Ford got it. It might have been Sylvester Stallone, and they regretted it so much lol.
To be fair he was great as Messer and Pronto just wasn't all that great a movie
Looks at the title of the video "Raylan Has a Standoff with Two Idiots" and I'm like... OK that dosen't narrow it down.
"RAYLAN! YOU STILL GOT THAT PHONE ON YOU?"
"yes raylan!"
"RAYLAN, I NEED YOU TO DIAL NINE ONE ONE, RAYLAN"
"ok, raylan"
"thank you raylan"
😂🤣
That county appears to be a self-cleaning oven.
This made me LOL
Damn Raylan pulled his weapon FAST! :)
Tim Olyphant is probably one of the best western actors that can also quick draw pretty convincingly nowadays. If not the single best. As a rule of thumb Hollywood should hire more actors trained for firearms like Tim, and less idiots like Alec Baldwin.
@@ilcugginocanadeseI love comments like these, showing lack of understanding of how the industry works. Like Hollywood is a monopoly. So when you say Hollywood, you mean Netflix? Disney? Apple? Paramount? Warner Bros-Discovery? Amazon? Etc? And who’s the they here? The CEO? The producers? The casting director?
@@methos-ey9nf I love comments like these, showing lack of understanding of known and accepted conventions where everyone knows that by "hollywood" we mean the whole American film industry.
It’s part of his draw.
Raylan is like "They'll never believe that I didn't kill them this time"
Pruitt Taylor-Vince? I love that guy. He always hits the spot.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake. Napoleon
That was entertaining, surprising and quick. Even the dialogue kept my attention.
Thank you for your efforts. May you and yours stay well and prosper.
Started to watch this 2 days ago. 5 episodes in and I already love it
It is one of my favorite TV shows.
It only gets better. One of the best shows ever
Keep with it til the end. It features some of the finest dialogue and scenes you'll ever see in a show. Season 5 is a bit tough to get through due to a poor "villain" choice, but Season 6 is incredible and absolutely ends on a high note.
Also, I strongly recommend not even messing with the latest "sequel series" City Primeval that was just released in 2023.
Raylan: damn, i'm so good at talking, i hardly ever get to shoot anyone
"Sometimes the flowers arrange themselves Jim"
-Robert California
I am not sure why I am laughing so hard.
That was so funny!
This.
Loved this series started watching the new series and had to fo back and watch the original again after 11 years remember watching it it with my mother before she passed away funny some scwnes really broght back memories of watching the tv show the day the episode aird with her
I love his expression. "Aw hell, did that really just happen?" 😆
Wade actually spelling out "9 1 1" as he's dialing always tickles me
2 idiots gone and the Marshall didn't have to waste a bullet.
Still wasted the time it took to drive there
I lived south of the Mason Dixon 13 yrs . This show is spot on.😂😂😂
I need to re-watch this, so good.
I annually re-watch this show. It's that good!
Yes Raylon was great. But the weekly parade of entertaining criminals is what made this show.
One of the best tv shows ever...
You just described half of the episodes😂
*all the episodes.
"You let him shoot me!"
One of my favorite series!!!👍👍😄
"Somewhere in the Greater Lexington area of kiss-my-ass", one of his best lines
Bugs Bunny is going to sue Raylan for using one of his tricks.
Later Raylan visits Duffy and pretty much states “Of course you realize, dis means war!”
I forgot just how funny that show could be😆😂😆😂
😆 i bet he didnt see that as an outcome with 2 old boys having guns on him. 😂
Now how in the hell did that happen!?
Whenever I think of this show, I'm reminded of Boyd Crowder.. the man that grew up to be a ghoul.
The soundtrack is amazing in this series. Reminds me a bit of RR2
"... Shit!" 😂
Probably thinking “Well at least they shot themselves, less paperwork…”
More like " Nobody is going to believe they shot themselves 🤬"
Yep, says it all …. 🤣
The mayor in longmire in his young days😂😂😂😂
I.ve watched it all twice and still have it on a USB drive and will likely watch it again in a few years..the best..nuf said
3:33 - summary of when things go wrong :)
Poor Raylan had to contend with the Tennessee braintrust every day.
Southern Kentucky bordering Tennessee.
Well sometimes things just work out naturally!
For a moment I've thought he will announce Review Tech USA... he looks damn similar.
The writers were great. The follow-up series, not so much.
Such a great show. Raylan is the main man, but there are so many great characters in this show. Even the ones who weren't regulars, they had so many memorable moments that this show is just great to watch again and again. The original run. That last season, was dull and rang hollow. Raylan was the ONLY part I really enjoyed.
THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is what i call "natural selection "...
So many characters were also in Deadwood.
How in the hell did I NOT see this episode? Thought I watched the whole thing
Huh! That didn’t work out!
😂😂😂
Wild west in perfection😂
I came for the C3 Vette and then witnessed Darwinism.
This must have been a much better TV show than I realized.
It is amazing.
Hilarious, sad, full of tension (Raylon does get hurt several times) and of course Walton Goggins.
Raylan has a stand odd with two idiots. Doesn't that describe just about every episode?
The only thing that changes is the number of idiots 😂
Sometimes there was just one idiot.
This was a GREAT show!
There ain’t no justice! Ha ha!
You let him shoot me!
Didn't see that one coming.
Made for Each other!
Wow, just like reservoir dogs !
I loved this series!
LOL Love that show
"Put that down"
Here is the issue. Raylan Shot his best friend, Boyd when he wasn't even pointing a gun at anyone.
You got a guy pointing a gun to shoot, and did nothing.
Did you even watch the show? 😂
His best friend? Good one.
He wasn't pointing the gun at him he was pointing the gun at the idiot he wound up shooting.
He wanted Boyd dead. He wanted at least one of these guys alive.
Hey the big giy is the priest from Constantine!
I only see clips of this show on youtube but how many people get shot in this small town?
Great standoff
It’s probably in the comment somewhere, but has season three already started
The big bald head actor is Pruett Taylor Vince who played the rairoad worker that witnessed the grassy knoll in Oliver Stone's JFK.
He was also in a really good episode of The X-Files. And also in Constantine.
@@bill2953he was also in The Walking Dead...well, at least for a couple of episodes
@@jeffanon1772 He's been around a least 30 years, still manages to land parts.
@@bill2953 yup... especially since he used to do that nystagmus thing where his eyeballs zipped sideways back & forth, LOL, like he did in The X-Files....it made him look REALLY crazy
He's great in Jacob's Ladder, Identity, and The Legend of 1900.
That bald guy was also in Deadwood
Now if there's any series to watch again ;) What a trophy of a western series that was.
3:21 “Nine… One… One”
"state your business"
Is this the whole cast from Deadwood?
OMG! LMAO!!
That was convenient.
ty
Is that Peanut Butter and Jelly?
well... that didnt work out so well..
Problem solved!
This was a series?!! I could barely make it through this clip without wishing I was standing directly between those to hillbillies before they squeezed the triggers.
Me and dead Owls don't give a hoot!
The actor portraying Wade Messer , played Raylen
Looks like the fat guy is carrying the same Ruger GP100 revolver the DEA agent carried in later episodes.
Funny is funny
I know it's Hollywood and real-life police procedure isn't really important, but some of the scenes on this show are so bizarrely unrealistic, they're comical. Both of these idiots would be dead as soon as they pointed their guns anywhere even remotely in his general vicinity. To have him amble on up to them, gun not drawn, talking like he's asking about the weather while they're waving their guns all around -- it's unintentional slapstick. I don't mind suspending disbelief to a point, but not when it gets this silly.
Oh shit how am I going to explain this to the boss. No one is going to believe me
Well that was easy
Two for the price of none.
Raylan was a bit slow there.
Because the writers wanted those two to blast each other. :)
@@jimgolab536 ... and the pothead shot pretty well!
NINE.
ONE.
ONE.
(Brought to you by the Kentucky School System)
They shot each other before he reached for his gun. So they stood a chance against him 🙂
Nice
