As a session drummer, you are asked to record drums for all types of music and settings. I had one particular session where 3 companies and artists were splitting the session (everyone came in with a song and in 4 hours, we hit them all. They split the cost of the musicians). The last person came in and said "ok, this will be for a commercial. The car will be going through the mountains...close ups of the car, winding roads. Play what you feel works!" Then they walked out and I had a studio full of musicians looking at me through the glass waiting for me to cut something so we could move on with the session.
In this video, I hired 3 drummers from Fiverr to record music and drums for 3 popular car chase scenes from 3 different movies. And of course, I had to drum on one as well ;^)

Well, drums do go great with anything after all! I love all of these, makes the tension in each scene appropriate for that setting and context. Goes to show that drums go a long way with accents and articulations

Stephens had the most excitement and intensity. I think you could expand this out and do it by genre. I'd love to see the speed metal guys do their blast beats, the Nashville guys do their train grooves, the rock/worship guys do their crescendos etc. Be fun to see the different approaches.
Probably yours or Bullitt? Didn’t seem like anyone tried to write to the movie though which is a little disappointing.
