84 and not too old to learn. I love learning new things and this is the perfect video for a beginner in textile art. I can't wait to get started; thanks so much for sharing.
I love your lopsided stitches, your fat needle and crooked lines and perfectly imperfectionful designs. It means that every creation we make is unique and beautiful.
I love videos like this, where you talk about stuff and hand stitching. I love slow stitching too. But I would like to turn my slow stitching pieces into quilts.
Carol, I am doing a swap with a gal and I am looking at your tag, and thinking YES! We are doing small stitch work and this is ideal, thank you for the inspiration!
*Hello, I'm your 50th Thumbs up. I absolutely Love the beauty of fabric Tags & book marks. You do such gorgeous work. I'm saving this to a playlist I have for myself to refer back to. This is absolutely Love this!!! I'm all about recycling & repurposing all I can. I actually took part in my first colab **#dtaddictiins** & shared all my containers I love for storing things. I also showed repurposing the empty Coffee container for holding all my colored pencils. I also use empty food cans for storage it's just great to not put everything in the landfill. Thank you for another absolutely wonderful share. Blessings and keep the Fun in all you do. 😁😁😁* Sharon in SC
Hello from Ontario, Canada. It's been a couple years since you posted this video so I'm probably a tad late being helpful, lol but while I was watching I remembered the flower stitch is called a lazy Daisy and now I think I want to practice making some. I have some pretty variegated embroidery cotton just waiting to be used 😊
hi welcome 😊wow yes this was a blast from the past lol, I had just started stitching ! hope you do get to do some lazy Daisy with your lovely threads, I still can’t remember the name of some of the stitches now 😂
I love this so much, Carol! I'm definitely wanting to do more slow stitching. Please show us the stitches you learn! Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration! ❤
Hi Carol! I love your slow stitching! It looks so authentic! It has more character than machine stitch! The fabrics you chose to work with are really pretty. Love the look of this! I am sorry your live didn't work out! I had it on my calendar, but found myself busy with the kids that weekend doing a bunch of Halloween stuff. I think you need to give it a try again...maybe the problem was busy weekend activities. I like your box of little flowers.
Thanks Jovi yes the slow stitching is addictive I’ve been doing a lot of it this week to de-stress ! Learning a few embroidery stitches. No worries 😁I forget how big a deal Halloween is over in the US 😊 I thought well I’ll do a video anyway as so many people wanted to see. 💕
Hi- I am new to your channel. You just popped up on my feed- to my sheer delight! Your tag design is gorgeous, and I love your colors, composition and stitch ideas. Looking forward to knowing you more. Thank you, for all that you do. Blessings!

How pretty Carol. 💕 It. I wished I was better at sewing.I am an expert at ripping out stitches. LOL 💕ed watching you though. Your tag came out beautiful. TYFS
Hi Carol, I am a new subscriber here and am tickled that I found you! I have watched a couple of your videos so far but I do believe I will be watching every one I can find especially with the slow stitching. I do a lot of slow stitching and now have changed it to Spirit stitching so I can have even more fun breaking the rules! Thank you so much for your inspiration.
Hi Lizzie thank you so much for subscribing, for the lovely comment and for saying hello, it’s always lovely to welcome newcomers 😁 I love the idea of spirit stitching and breaking the rules 😁🤗
Carol, you did great! It really is similar to making junk journals only with fabric , notions and thread! Do you put a stiff back on the reverse side? Your tag is feminine and pretty!
Hi Rhonda thank you 😊 I expect I will back it with heavy cotton or plain upholstery fabric. I really enjoyed the stitching and I’ve sat tonight doing more, can’t concentrate on anything else 😁❤️
Carol. A little tip cut a longer thread and double it won’t come out your needle then. I would love to show you embroidery stitches if we lived nearer. I think your needle is a little too large you seem to be gathering it. I always use a size 10 needle it’s very tiny lovely needle but very difficult to thread ❤
Great idea!.thank you so much that would be so much fun 😊I have no idea what a size 10 needle is lol all mine are thrifted. I do have some smaller needles but my eyes are definitely not good enough to be able to thread them 😬 ❤️

I like doing this kinds of things. Have a few but have no place to see them all the time. Need to make one large one to hang on my wall.
Hi Judy 😊 yes you could make a wall hanging by stitching them together, like reverse masterboard ❤
