  • Let’s slow stitch a scrap fabric bird in a scrap thread nest. You can draw your own bird or use one of my templates at the link below.

    To make it easy, I cut a standard sheet of felt in 4 pieces so no measuring required. They are just shy of 6” x 4.5” or 15cm x 11cm.

    Oh these birds are adorable! I love the use of thread scraps, I save mine too but I’ve only used them for stitching or markers. I must try this! Thank you for the lovely tutorial and the inspiration and templates!❤

      Thanks for watching! Sometimes I also use the scraps of thread and fabric to stuff pincushions if they’re too small to use for anything else.

    WOW, I love this. I am in the UK and kitchen towel is disposable paper for mopping up spills etc. Is that what you used or is it a particular fabric?
