Hello my friend! So glad you could use some fabric I sent :) I enjoyed crafting along with you. Wish we could do that in person!!! Tea, crafts and Snowbell!!!
Good evening Carol, what a sweet beautiful fabric, I love 💘 the lady with the hat on the front cover , it s... me all ways wearing a hat . Thank you for sharing with us , have a peaceful weekend, soft warm hugs Teresa xx
New to your channel, new to slow stitching. Your book looks wonderful. I would love to give this a go! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Best wishes, Geraldine
Thank you! welcome along 😊 Just in case you wonder where all the slow stitching videos have gone recently ! I have started a new channel dedicated to my love for slow stitching, it’s Hand Stitch with Carol and we do all sorts of relaxed stitching projects 💗
I love your style and your attitude. I am fairly new to embroidery, but have learned about 6 stitches so far (from the Sarah Homfray Embroidery channel - she has a wonderful stitch library.) I was searching for a channel that would teach me more about slow stitching in general and ..... in particular..... how to put my individual pieces together.... mainly in an accordian style. And I see by roaming around your channel very briefly this morning, that you have shown several methods of doing that. This is going to be fun. Thank you. I have just subscribed. Now I shall go back and watch a lot of your previous videos so that I can catch up 🙂
Hello Susan 😊 Thank you so much for saying hi and welcome to my little corner of RUclips ! I am a big fan of Sarah Homfray she’s a fabulous teacher and is very experienced. I started stitching beginning of last year when I did Roxy’s journal of stitchery, Rachel and her sister are great to watch too ! I’m very much on a learning curve and just videoing my experiments in stitching, I make mistakes and not perfect at it all 😂 I have a playlist with all my slow stitching projects if that helps 😁
@@RecraftedByCarol Thanks Carol. This is exactly what I was looking for...... making individual slow stitch pieces and then putting them together as a concertina on a piece of fabric. I have seen slow stitch pieces that used various things as the base for the individual pieces: cotton fabric, cotton wadding/batting and felt. I think that I'll give all three a try and see which I like best. Thanks for the inspiration !!!
New to your channel this morning and already I love it - you have a brilliant detailed teaching style and are very listenable to. And this book - absolutely gorgeous and they’d be a lovely thing to take on a journey with a small child, with lots of textures and surprises to capture their imagination - just beautiful, also it would be a lovely way to save little pieces of fabric that have a particular meaning for you. Beautiful.😊
Hi and welcome Allie so happy to have you here. Thank you for your lovely comments 😊 I’m glad you got some inspiration from my video and yes how wonderful to make a book from memorable pieces of fabric. Do you do a lot of stitching ? Xx
I just love that stamped piece " I used to have a handle on life but it broke " my humour all over. may I ask if you could do a dozen of them on scrap calico and send to me in Brisbane Australia? of course,I will definately pay for them.
Hi Carol! This is great and I have been creating with a bit of slow stitching myself…I will have to make one when I’m back in my craft space at home. Love your little book🥰🌸
I am loving this project Carol. I wish I could participate with you, but I’m not able to right now. I agree that a 4”x5” journal is the perfect size. I look forward to watching you work on it! 💕💕💕
If you look in the description box beneath the video the next video is linked ther, it should pop up at the end of the video but RUclips has its moments ☺️
Hi Sheila please just stitch along, I have some meditation stitching videos in my slow stitching playlist which you can listen to while you stitch ! At the moment we are just making our blocks and will be stitching them together in a few weeks 😊 ❤
No i didn’t, I collaged on top of upholstery type fabric and then stitched them down on a length of cotton I used for the base. 😊 I’ll demonstrate in the next video for you ❤
I’m glad that you move at a pace that I can follow. And so happy to meet a ‘clumsy’ stitcher. I rather like the human stitchers 😂
