And second it's attempt to make the song shine with new colors. Metallica's version and this original perfomed even in different genres. So don't argue which version is better. They both are beautiful each in its own way.

Joseph Palma Metallica did a great remake for sure. But the part that was used in peaky blinders alone wasn’t gonna be better with James. Nick’s voice fit the era. I found it amazingly exploited.

For years, I only knew the Metallica version (one of my favorites from their Garage Inc. album) and loved it. Then I looked this up about six months ago, and it blew me away. Listened to it probably ten times in a row that night. I love Metallica and still like their cover, but this version is on a whole other level. Not only that, but it introduced me to the wonderful world of Nick Cave.
Wicked? No. Not sure much music can capture raw emotion like this other than Velvet Underground or Johnny Cash. Metal can stir a lot of emotions. IMO this is as metal as Meshuggah.
