      Not that it matters but Nick's had a little help from a surgeon or two with his hair over the last 10 years (check the Dig Lazarus/Grinderman era). It's very common these days, so good on him. I hope he still has it raven black when he's in his 70s.

    • @patriciofernandez2711
      @patriciofernandez2711 7 лет назад +1

      Ehh not really, I don't think those are implants, he said he's been dying his hair all his life, but if you look at the band's concert videos over the years you'll find his hairline is definetly receding.

    • @BOSIE321
      @BOSIE321 7 лет назад +6

      He had a huge bald spot at the back of his head during the Dig Lazarus era which is now gone. This coupled with the receding hair in the front (which looks much better nowadays) suggests to me that he's had a transplant. Either that or he's had incredible results with Rogaine or Finasteride.

      I suppose two months later this is my attempt at it:
      Cave is saying that from electricity comes life and we haven't had a bad enough storm since, trapped in times of mediocrity. But the little children know (the next generation)-- that eventually the sandman will come from under the mud and start the heart of the next King-- --to bring the black rain storm of true originality out from the depths of pop culture trash.

      Roy Orbit He' s right! "A king will walk on Tupelo..." Elvis aka the King was born in Tupelo. Plus this song is from the "Firstborn is dead" album and also this title is refered to Elvis. It is said that Elvis had a stillborn twin.

      Campaigner What a strange comment. What do you even mean by that??

    • @campaigner1016
      @campaigner1016 9 лет назад +5

      I was listening to Lou Reed's "New York" album at the time. Right as I was reading your comment about your father telling you that "Tupelo" was about the night Elvis was born, I heard the line from Lou Reed's song, "Last Great American Whale"...the lyrics went, "Some say they saw him at the Great Lakes
      Some say they saw him off of Florida
      My mother said she saw him in Chinatown
      But you can't always trust your mother..." I thought, I love those lyrics, but they make very little sense in the context of the song about humanity killing off whales! So, maybe not appropriate, but it seemed odd that I was just reading about what your father had told you. I'll write basically that your Dad is right, but don't trust Mom. Of course I don't know your Mom. I'm a painter, poet type of guy...so like a lot of songwriters, poets and writers in general, don't take what I or others may say so literally. See, this had nothing to do with your mother...just my imagination run amuck!!
      I apologize if you took offence to it...no offence intended!

      @royorbit3800 9 лет назад

    Saw Nick Cave in Rome around 2009. They were a bit late coming on stage. I really had to take a piss from the beers. So I went to the toilets thinking "Even if they start the set, I won't miss the best". Came back while they were mid way through "Tupelo" with mustache-Cave sperging in front of a mega screen showing black and white clouds. Most expensive piss I've ever took.
