I have been trying to find out more about the meaning of the song and it is trying to depict the Tupelo-Gainesville tornado outbreak in 1936. Elvis Presley's brother died during this catastrophe.
There’s no meaning he’s just telling the birth of Elvis in a biblical way like the birth of Jesus “until The King is born in Tupelo…with a bottle and a box and a cradle of straw.”
It means whatever you think it means. That's the beauty of art people take for granted. Maybe there's something to it idk I just chose to not worry about it and it feels nice haha.

Not that it matters but Nick's had a little help from a surgeon or two with his hair over the last 10 years (check the Dig Lazarus/Grinderman era). It's very common these days, so good on him. I hope he still has it raven black when he's in his 70s.
Ehh not really, I don't think those are implants, he said he's been dying his hair all his life, but if you look at the band's concert videos over the years you'll find his hairline is definetly receding.
He had a huge bald spot at the back of his head during the Dig Lazarus era which is now gone. This coupled with the receding hair in the front (which looks much better nowadays) suggests to me that he's had a transplant. Either that or he's had incredible results with Rogaine or Finasteride.
He is incredible, love him and he is amazing. I saw him live and it was my dream come true. Could not believe the bogan audience they did not deserve him.

See, this had nothing to do with your mother...just my imagination run amuck!!
I apologize if you took offence to it...no offence intended!
Campaigner That's cool man. I also like "New York". Just was a little confusing I thought you were attacking me.
It looks like you are really sick in your profile picture. Are you alright?
Saw Nick Cave in Rome around 2009. They were a bit late coming on stage. I really had to take a piss from the beers. So I went to the toilets thinking "Even if they start the set, I won't miss the best". Came back while they were mid way through "Tupelo" with mustache-Cave sperging in front of a mega screen showing black and white clouds. Most expensive piss I've ever took.
Great song
Thanks to the Peaky Blinders 🖤
Australia must be a really odd place.
(As a Canadian, I see the inverse oddity of it, and love it.)

In Canada, especially Ontario, I have felt like the forest is trying to kill me.
Song will be played at my funeral as my soul dances to the point of no return
What a performance, nick cave and the bad seeds
