You wish he would regress several decades in his artistic development to make songs much like he did in his younger years? Strange wish, considering his recent albums are way above above anything that has come before. It mystifies me how anyone can hear Skeleton Tree or Ghosteen, and then want Nick to go backwards from there. Carnage is also exceptional but you will probably hate it. Your loss, I'm just sick and tired of hearing these sentiments.
I thought I'd heard the best from this wonderful artist. But this understated perfection of a song,, the despondent pain of it, just exquisite. Thank you Mr. Cave.

Anyway, he performed Still Your Face with Kylie Minogue at the London Jazz Cafe, and there's a live recording of that event in the Wonderful World of Nick Cave bootleg. It's more of an unfinished song, and bits of lyrics have been recycled in There She Goes, My Beautiful World.
A lot of good stuff isn't on B-sides and rarities (e.g. Still Your Face Comes Shining Through, which at least made it into "The Incomplete Lyrics 1978-2007", even if the middle eight duet lines were cut). There's a lot of missing stuff--he recycles the lyrics in newer songs, which I suppose he considers to be better songs than the ones he abandons, such as I Do, Dear, I Do.
