At this point we could talk also about the quality of add-ons, literally Mscenery comes out every week with "planes" that have been out on the sim for quite a long time and developed by developers that aren't scammers, because new players may fall into the trap of wasting money into something that, in my opinion, is a literal scam. I might be too harsh, I'm open to criticism without any sort of problems, but Microsoft has demonstrated that they do not care about MSFS players, prioritising quantity over quality and, when added, seems that they don't want it. Sorry for having written a large text but it is what I think, keep up the good content mate.
I'm on PC and I don't see a problem with displaying weapons, but from what I understand it's only because of the E rating. Minecraft is also rated E and you can kill animals and wield weapons in the game. I've heard that Boeing would only license their name and planes if they did not display any type of weapon in the sim. On PC we can shoot rockets and fire guns that will actually leave craters on the ground with black smoke coming from them. I believe only we can see them and not anybody else in multiplayer. If PC players can do that much, Xbox users should be able to at least display weapons. From what Dean said from DC Designs is that Xbox users are a huge part of their sales, so Microsoft should listen to Xbox users.

"We will not change this because of our rating ,if we would change it to display static weapons the next request will be to make it so they can actually fire weapons. We deliver a fligh simulator for all ages not just rated M" something like that was answered back in 2022. I too wish they would change it to do this but it's just not going to happen I'm afraid.
It does suck for y'all i used to play Xbox flight sim but i kept having to delete stuff to have more downloads and i hated how confined it is. I made the switch to PC and I love it so much more you can do plus a ton of free stuff. I don't think it was ever the intention to fully support console players which is kinda messed up especially the ones that invest a lot of money into it.The unfortunate situation leads to either getting a PC that runs it or miss out on a lot of stuff the sim has to offer.
I have a question, I recently bought the Concorde and every time I load in the flight plan, take off, and engage AP, it never follows my flight plan. Do you know how to fix this?
Going to sign it for sure, there is absolutely no reason why the display of weaponry isnt allowed. While they are at it, they also should be displayed on static and moving naval vessels & war memorials. Honeslty I want them to take it even further, next year search & resque missions are coming to the sim; so why not for example add "intercept/escort missions" etc to the sim in the future.

I agree. (Im over the age of 6 months). They need to significantly reduce the price of aircraft too. 40 bucks for one plane is ridiculous. They are way to complacent in too many ways. If i had a pc id switch to DCS in a heartbeat! They don’t listen to the community like they should at Microsoft. They really chap my you know what in many many ways. It really says “hey, we dont give a crap”.

It's never happening. Legally they can't; the game is PEGI rated "3". PEGI ratings are not advisory like your American ESRB ratings; it's legally enforceable. It it black & white; if they allow cosmetic weapons, they could no longer sell the game in Europe.
I just spent 2 days having to delete and redownload the Sim and all my add-ons on my Xbox because their half-assed Sim update 14 completely wrecked the game, and in typical fashion I had to download a severely flawed, unfinished sim update just to play the game. So I can basically beta test for FS2024…. Yet weapons on military aircraft is their top priority.

And since I’m playing on an XBox series X as well, and I don’t code the game or it’s updates, that blame falls on the developers. Congrats that yours runs fine after updates. But I don’t care
Only Microsoft would let you learn to fly an airliner, fly it into scenery to perform a mock terror attack, yet not let you have a visual representation of a weapon on a wing. Highly idiotic logic!
tbh i really dont care..its just cosmetic geez.. its not that deep..im still playing this sim regardless of the outcome.. go play dcs if you really what that realism and those weapons.. hell most of the times the fighter jets fly around america without weapons .and only use them for combat purposes or if theres some kind of threat. .. so what the point of having them if you cant shoot em..
I have the Missiles on the F-14, and will never update that plane again ........ If Microsoft wants to take back the missiles they will have to go into my XBOX without my permission and rip them out ... If anyone at Microsoft really cared about the people who use MSFS on XBOX they would find a way to fix the never ending CTD's, that make the Flight Sim unplayable ... I have a lot of money invested in this platform, and it is really frustrating when I can only use it about 50% of the time

I’m with you on that and I agree probably won’t happen but I rather try and see if we can at least make changes or the thought be there in the new sim

MSFS is a civilian flight sim. Civilian aircraft don't generally have any weapons. If you want to shoot things use something like DCS.

Prices need to be reduced too, I’ve gone and brought like 20 fighters and GA planes and I’ve realised I’ve spent like a grand on the sim 😅
