Ah, my death knights. What good memories. Such a great class, really. Words aren't enough.
I could easily say the same with feral druids getting multiple omen procs during their opener 😁 although very rare it really gets the hype going.
The timing of this video is remarkable. I'm rather new to WoW and began it as a priest main in Shadowlands. In Dragonflight, I just started playing a frost DK and I'm loving it so far. I know this is about classic but I just can't get into classic for some reason
You are part of the newer gaming generation. You need quick flashy rewards. Classic is slow.
@@1OnlyOneOnlyOne1 eh. classic wotlk leveling is ridiculously easy and bland. doing it post launch would just be a drag. and I loved og/classic vanilla leveling so its not just the tempo imo.

Once you get used to the unique playstyle, DK gets really fun to play
Bruh when this came out retail I was one of the few people who didn’t have a frost tank boner and would just solo at level dungeons as a blood tank
I play Unholy but Blood has been interesting to me as well.
I loved it when I was first able to make one when they first came out
I tried death knight back in original wotlk and hated the playstyle
Frost dk is by far my favourite spec to play of every class and spex

Snapping a gargoyle is all but fun or satisfying. It's a pain in the ass. Monitoring 10 different things and small icons while listening to many other ppl in chat and seeing what you have to hit is more than much for me. So yeah, i never play unholy bc that's not fun at all

As a paladin and DK main, one who went into classic vanilla re-release and then TBC with the expectation of WOTLK becoming a thing, I had leveled and geared my paladin throughout every Xpac re-release, and with a DK being my 2nd character to max into WOTLK, I have to say, that mainly due to boosts and "meta hype" (no pun intended) I have really grown to hate other paladins and deathknights.
While this isn't applicable to my DK, I was very upset that I suffered through months of gearing my paladin in preparation for TBC (You try explaining to your raiding guild why you need tank/dps items and spell damage items as a sub-par healing class).
Just to see hundreds of paladins boost and then visa swipe their way to mediocrity via GDKPs so they could ride the "meta wave" to success, taking up raid slots, gear, and guild roles... all because they wanted to play the "best overall class".
The only saving grace to it all with WOTLK is that because some raid mechanics actually require a modicum of intelligence and responsiveness, at this point in ulduar guild officers who cheesed their way into a kushy tank slot are quickly realizing its actually difficult and they are spec swapping to ret or even outright rerolling.
Unfortunately, many of them have or are rerolling to deathknight, creating yet another class imbalance issue.
So while I do enjoy playing paladin, and Deathknight, I will remain annoyed with the fact that nearly every raid is filled to the brim with them, making gearing difficult unless you host your own, and it's always a gamble as to whether or not you're going to get a boosted visa swiper who will ruin your lockout or somebody who has put in the effort to learn the classes and master their utility in roles.
Whenever I lead a raid, I refuse to take in any deathknights or paladins (except holy because it can be played while in a coma) unless I recognize them, their guilds, or their gearscore is above average, which probably isn't fair to many casual players, but after so many wasted hours on alts or even my mains playing with shitters who dump money on boosts, BOES, and GDKP carries, I cannot risk subjecting other players in my raid to the same abuse without atleast attempting to mitigate it.
The funny thing is too, it feels like its mostly ret/prot paladins and deathknights who cry about groups with gearscore requirements on the forums, and that tells me I'm not the only one tired of this shit.
I can appreciate that you wanted to make a video praising the class, but I really wish these sorts of "class praise" videos from big WoW content creators would highlight less popular classes, because I am convinced that they impact the balance more than what is probably realized.
As a slight example, I would farm sons of hodir rep tokens from the mounted robo-chicken-gnomes nearly entirely uncontested for hours except for the occasional questing player or engineer looking to get his scrapbot recipe, but then Scotteyejay posted his "best gold farms in wotlk" video and everyone went from spamming HoL/HoS to that exact area and it went from relatively peaceful to a PVP hot zone and stupidly contested area, making it nearly useless unless you played during the 0100-0600 server timeframe.
Same thing with paladins sans the boost when all of the "Paladins are gonna be the best tanks in TBC!" Nonsense videos came out (warriors were still the best for anything besides trash clearing.)
Then it went to "Ret is going to be the BIS dps class next to DK in WOTLK" videos, except ret is actually garbage until T10 set bonus, (this one caused so much controversy that blizzard literally changed the game to try and help alleviate all of the crybabies, by nerfing DK unholy spec, changing item mechanics, and buffing/adding new glyphs to the game for rets.)
Why isn't there more content talking about how massive shadowpriests can be as DPS in raids, or how wildly imbalanced their dots are in PVP? Nobody is posting videos talking about how Warlock/Spriest dots literally IGNORE resilience in pvp when they crit... nobody is talking about how fun hunters can be, or how warriors are rapidly approaching their giga-chad levels of dps with all of the armor pen becoming available...
I wish my content creators would give us a video on how frost/fire mages can seemingly kite for days in PVP or lead meters as arcane still... it's just a bummer to hop on every week and see the same two classes hyped and knowing that I'm gonna have to commit to a reroll in order to avoid all of the meta hype andies who thought they could be carried by a class with minimal effort... ugh... What's a frost DK? Frost is a mage spec not a death Knight spec.

You're unironically dismissing Frost here?! Frost is the real chad DK spec lmao. Unholy is major cringe. Actually pressing buttons to get the dopamine rush of Obliterate crits and Killing Machine Frost Strikes feels way better than pressing whatever spell comes off cooldown as you wait for the perfect moment to call your flying rat pet in.
I hate to break this to you but frost is a mage spec death knight doesn't have a frost spec.

I prefer legion DK, being an unstoppable beast in blood, a bad ass combo of melee/caster for frost. Never been a unholy fan.

I've always said that Metagoblin is a casual noob in WoW. Just look at the guy explaining to you how you should play Death knight, and not using AMS on Ignis to pump runic power. Also, he doesn't have the talent "Unholy Blight". Now you know why he is advocating to play vanilla classic era, because the guy just likes wasting his time in the game while being mediocre. Unholy frenzy is Unique, a unique Battle rezz, if you spec into it an aoe magic shield, Can soak up dmg as dd with def cds. A taunt, a Grab , a Root.
And the Standart Attack Speed, % ap, and strength/agility.
This is a Bit More utilty than bringing cookies to the raid.
Boring? If you only Play enhance , affli and Feral then Maybe dk is Boring.
But the Other classes are just like that .
You never played Elemental Shaman in pve then 😂 that is boring. 2-4 buttons and no procs. Nothing
Utility is for mages. DPS is for dks.
