Best way to get a good dk story -dont play dk : that means,rp the same race, but another class, and evolve a story for him -let him die by a strange wound -create dk -create backstory for him -play the dk
Death Knights remind me alot of the Nazgul/Ringwraiths from the LOTR. Undead evil servants of a Dark Lord who wield both magic and weapons. A little bit of the White Walkers/the Others from ASOIAF as well. I love them.
i actually really want you to do class guides. the RP personalities between a priest and a warrior are very different and i think that there is a lot of content worth discussing
I play as a Draenei Death Knight :D My Story: I was once a paladin against the evils of the world, a new commander that has proven her might in many fights, yet I have fallen in battle... I remember just the moments of the fight, comrades pushing the front lines, we we're gaining land. I rushed to the sides to offer my support in securing them as well. As we managed to defeat the right side waves I turned to thank my people in giving their all. I do not remember if I told them anything.. I was caught off guard. I was met by a dagger in my chest. A traitor? An assassin? I cannot remember... I have only the slight memory of a black silhouette watching me from the safety of the nearby forest before vanishing.. My eyes have darkened and I woke up in a dark place... I was taught how to despise the living, but I was able to resist it partially. I never gave in to the temptation of the Scourge. I, somehow, managed to do their bidings emotionless and felt manipulated by them, but I had a feeling of wrongness.. I knew that everything I did was not good, but I couldn't remember why.. One day, as I found myself alone in a patrol mission I felt a warmth coming from within. I felt what I thought I have forgotten:warmth. I found a place safe from the roads and meditated on the feeling only to realise what it was. The Light. My gift from the Naaru.. The gift given to my race was still within. I knew I couldn't show it and I couldn't tell anyone about it. I felt reborn and yet damned. I now knew the reason of the wrongness I've always felt. I returned to "my base" (I could never call it home, especially after regaining part of my memories..) and continued to march as if controled by the Lich King untill the day he put me to his final test. To kill my friend.. A test given to all under his command, but one I could not obey entirely. I fought the order inside and wanted to kill myself rather than to such crime, yet I played by his command and despise myself for it to this day. I felt powerless for not being able to refuse the poison of the Scourge. It has taken control over me, yet I still fought aimlessly and pointlessly with it... On the day of the fight at the Light Chapel when the Knights of the Ebon Blade gave their word against the Lich King, I felt empowered again. I felt I could become again what I was once. I could become part of the ones opposing the Scourge again.. It has been long since then, and even though people have fear of the Death Knights I have proven my might again and have been accepted as a soldier in their cause. I can serve the light once more.. The Scourge has left it's mark on me and I feel enraged at times. I feel the need to kill. To slaughter... I have found a way to deal with this urge. As I still have command over ghouls and gargoyles I satisfy this urge by terminating my minion's life countless times. Away from all the battles, I have managed to reform my peaceful life and throughout my travels I have found understanding and many tranquil places where I can escape the madness of the Scourge (for a while at least...) I have started a small bussiness in farming with The Tillers and I have found entertainment training my companion pets. I amuse myself at the Darkmoon Faire and participate in all world's traditions. I once again feel alive though I've worked hard to get back here again. My name is Rimma and this is my story. My realm is Turalyon and my home is Stormwind. If you ever seek acceptance and a place to escape to I'll gladly meet you and offer my help in any way I can to ease your pains.
+Rimma Jenkins Ooh i like it. Since you RP a Draenei Death Knight, I was wondering if it would be feasible to RP a Death Knight who goes on a journey to find out if he could be returned to his former self. Or is that just too... retarded. I ask because I want to RP a DK who goes on a whole quest of self-discovery and retribution so that he can be brought back. Also, on the same note, is it possible for Death Knights to be resurrected/returned to the light? I plan for him to have been a Draenei Paladin in life, but after being killed was resurrected as a Death Knight. So I think it would be understandable for a Draenei to be totally fucked up about this, since in their society it's completely abhorred to be undead. So would it be ok to do a whole RP quest of retribution, or not really? And if so, would it be better to end it with his death (like final death) or to be restored to the light (I'd just make a new Paladin of the same appearance) and brought back from death?
Hmm since the draenei have always been with the light I guess a quest for retribution would work :) I mean you escape from Lich King's command so you can do what you want (kill people or find forgiveness) I say if you show your pure hear again the light will surely return! :) But I fear that if your heart wavers you might quest for nothing... :< it all depends on you :) :D - sorry if I answered late-
+Rimma Jenkins i love reading peoples roleplay stories :) Heres mine: my Rp is my dk was a paladin from one of the few gnomeregan churches and he was sent to northrend and his squad was ambushed by valkry (or what ever those giant guys are called) and he was the lone survivor, and the scourge found him... at first they helped him then they started to manipulate and brainwash him and slowly turned him into a deathknight.
The best DK rp ive seen is a human deathknight with the soul of a shadow counsel Orc warlock who was put into the body of a fallen human pally so he walks and talks like human but his personality is orcish
Doron, I don't know if you go back and read comments on your old videos, but I was wondering. Do you think the DKs "hear" Bolvar in their heads? In the starting zone of the DKs they really want to make it a point that you are, as a DK, an extension of the Lich King's power. He speaks telepathically to you, and you can feel his presence. Do you think Bolvar is communing with us, or do you think it's pretty safe to say he's just holding back the Scourge? On a different note there was a theory going around that Ner'zhul was never truly defeated, he just laid dormant in the back of Arthas's mind. If Arthas was truly 100% evil he wouldn't of held on to sentimental things such as Jaina's locket... etc. (Shadowmourne questline). So do you think Ner'zhul is corrupting Bolvar's mind slowly? If he is do you think he's an easier or more difficult target than Arthas?
Chris Ondrovic The 'newish' comment feature helps with tracking comments on older vids. The death knights have split away from the scourge and the control of the Lich King, so they are independant. Also it was confirmed that Ner'Zhul was killed or at least his spirit was gone once Arthas took control. Also that thing was just to show that even though he was a monster, Arthas still had a tiny bit of humanity still in him.
I know this is really old but the Ebon Blade are now resurrecting new recruits to fight off the legion. So you can use the origin of "died in battle and rezzed as a DK". But they didn't start resurrecting until legion so you can say that you died on the broken shore. Example: You are a Worgen who saw the fall of Gilneas and fought in The Cata, MoP, and WoD content but died during the broken shore. Now the Ebon Blade comes and turns you into a DK. Now your a Worgen DK who saw the fall of Gilneas and everything after that.
No, you cannot. Worgen are Immune to Undeath. Worgen "DKs" are not Undead, they are Runewarriors. Or WIld Worgen of the Blood Moon. Basically, Humans turned Worgen by Arugal, captured by Arthas and turned into Runewarriors. WorgenDKs in the Starting zone, like the Gilnean are Blizzard Fucking the Lore up.
i think that if you die and are rezed you can rember things based on how long you were dead. if a short time you can rember more but the longer you are dead the less you can rember.
While there is little difference here, there are further DKs made by Arthas after the Ebon Blade. Not only to mention the knights of Naxxramas, there is also the Host of Suffering, Arthas' replacement to the knights he lost to Mograine. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm to understand those of the Host of Suffering that didn't die in battle against the Ebon Blade were absorbed into their ranks. Just throwing this out there for any would-be DK RPers looking for a backstory off the beaten path.
My blood elf death knight died as an high elf to defend Silvermoon against arthas and was later used to slaughter her own people and later helped fighting off Kael'thas forces in Northrend. Skip to after the Light's hope event and the death of the Lich king, she took the name of blood elf (she died an high elf) and tries to hide her undeath as much as she can, since she is deeply ashamed and scarred by her status as her death knight and still feels guilty for playing a role in the fall of silvermoon and the near annihilation of her race, aswell as the death of way too many innocents by her hand. That way of seeing the curse is also her reason for not ending her life, she feels like she owes the world what what she had done, and sees her freedom from the lich king as a second chance from the Light (she still worships the light and foolishly hopes to be able to wield it one day, even though it has forsaken her) to redeem herself, and she's going to use this curse as a gift to defend her former people and Azeroth as a whole on the frontlines. She was also never able to go back to Silvermoon or to visit the sunwell due to the guilt she felt. Sadly the scourge left its mark, and she can easily end up violent if provoked by an allied living person without much thought and could easily kill someone in a burst of rage after a misplaced insult or taunt, especially when related to her past as a mindless thrall of the scourge
You know before I saw this, I alrdy had a be dk role laided out for my main dk and it follows pretty much everything u said. So I feel pretty confident that I laided out my story very well :)
Would a DK who woke up forgetting who they once were and searching for who they were be ok? I really liked that whole idea for my DK, as it gave him a lot of depth. Perhaps his mind had started to rot, or he was resurrected without memory because they wanted to erase any past loyalty.
I have my Death Knight who was part of a group of investigating soldiers between Burning Legion and WOTLK timeline. In lore it doesn't happened but I made it up as it was a secret trick of a commander. This commander was jealous to the investigating gorups captain because he was about to be promoted as general for his rpevious heroic job but otherwise he feared about it because the heric captain as general would have opportunities to find out about the commander's corruptions and cheats for keeping his noble positions. This is why a representative San'Layn businessman offered the commander to help him but in back send 100 soldiers to Northrend. Of course the commander didn't afraid of agree with sell th captain and the rest off 99 of soldiers to the Lich King as future servants. At least he had connections and opportunities to make this travel for the captain and chosen "useless" soldiers, so King Varian had no sus on him, only Bolvar has questions but he was shood off with good reasons. When the 100 soldiers have arrived, the Scourge burnt their ships and salin 96 of them, while Dr Putricide captured teh captain alive, just for offer him to the Lich King himself when waking up. Only my DK char as a young lordaeronian refugee - now private and her two friends escaped, but one of them has been bitten by a ghoul. Once the other dude sacrified himself aganist the attacking Nerubians to save his friends, meanwhile the sleeping Lich King as presence of Arthas haunted my char's mind to convince her to kill the bitten friend or else he turns into undead - other fact that my girl's parents have been slain by Arthas' men in Stratholme (she was luck for being at her grandparents in the capital city in that time, but since Arthas was my once-child char's idol, it was really hurt for her but tried to understand it had been happened or else her parents turn to be undead) And then my char after long refuses, killed the bitten dude and by anger (because she blamed the Scourge for it) rushed to find the captain, but was too late: even she saved the captain, during a fight died and in the end, by listening to the blaming and pleased whisps, my char turned crazed and lost in deep of Northrend - until the Lich King woke up and started raise Death Knights, so he found even my char and made her killed and raised.
What are your full opinions on Death knights when it comes to them feeling emotion? I honestly don't think they're immune to positive emotions but when it comes to something such as a joke being told I'd imagine that they just wouldn't know how to react or possibly deal with positive emotions. Like perhaps they'd force what could be considered a smile when it's just a twitch of their lips?
So I've come up with this gnome death knight who's trying to preserve his body by essentially turning himself into a cyborg. For example one of his arms used to keep falling off, so he just went and replaced it.
Ok i think the Lore of my DK fits in to this roleplaying guide My character Cezas was a Blood Elf who was born on the Sunset isles and in his childhood he used to pretend to be paladin by playing with a wooden sword when he grew older he became a paladin with his friend Lisa and at the time the Lich king was ruling in Northrend they both tried to kill any scourge in Azeroth and 5 years later they were going on a campaign in Northrend to destroy the lich king's plans and to kill all the scourge of the land they couldn't do this alone so they joined the Argent Crusade to help them after successfully destroying the Lich king's plans they got caught by the scourge and the Lich king wanted to deal with them himself Cezas was going to marry Lisa that day as well after beig sent to the Lich king Cezas and Lisa said the only way out of this was to kill him so they tried to kill him but the Lich king's power was too much for Cezas and Lisa and the LichKing strangeled Lisa to death Cezas wasfilled with rage and tried to strike the Lich King but the Lich King easily killed himbut the Lich King saw power in Cezas so he raised him as a DK Cezas was working for the scourge the Lich King had a Campaignin Ty'rs hand and the Lich King brought Cezas with him Cezas carried out the Lich King's orders util he fought in the battle of light's hope chapel after losing in the battle Tirion Fordring showedDarion his pst and then Cezas began to remember his past and broke out of the will of the Lich King. That's it.
Ok i think the Lore of my DK fits in to this roleplaying guide, This one makes sense. xD My character Cezas was a Blood Elf who was born on the Sunset isles and in his childhood he used to pretend to be a paladin by playing with a wooden sword when he grew older he became a paladin with his friend Lisa and at the time the Lich King was ruling in Northrend they both tried to kill any scourge in Azeroth and 5 years later they were going on a campaign in Northrend to destroy the Lich King's plans and to kill all the scourge of the land they couldn't do this alone so they joined the Argent Crusade to help them after successfully destroying the Lich king's plans they got caught by the scourge and the Lich king wanted to deal with them himself Cezas was going to marry Lisa that day as well after being sent to the Lich King Cezas and Lisa said the only way out of this was to kill him so they tried to kill him but the Lich King's power was too much for Cezas and Lisa and the Lich King strangled Lisa to death Cezas was filled with rage and tried to strike the Lich King but the Lich King easily killed him but the Lich King saw power in Cezas so he raised him as a DK Cezas was working for the scourge the Lich King had a Campaignin in Ty'rs hand and the Lich King brought Cezas with him Cezas carried out the Lich King's orders until he fought in the battle of light's hope chapel after losing in the battle Tirion Fordring showed Darion his past and then Cezas began to remember his past and broke out of the will of the Lich King.
I have to say that as a Worgen DK, I think that Gilneans would be similar to Night Elves in that they will have nothing to do with the Undead, Gilnean or not because they universally hate them so much.
I have a idea for a DK Goblin. He was a young but skilled Goblin named Kaigxonk Multimine he specalized in setting traps(mines) and then coming in afterto kill the survivours with his sworld GoldHound. He was at Orgrimmar when the city fell under siege by the scourge. He was among the first to reach the gatel (He was also among the first to die). At the start of the fighting he came in contact with a Death Knight named Frank, Frank barely survived his battle with Kaigxonk but claimed his life as the prize. Normal Death Knight Mumbo Jumbo happens next. Please Rate out of 10
not sure about your runeblade name. otherwise, i think it's a nice background story. you mentioned how he was one of the first to rush to the gates of Orgrimmar to defend it from the Scourge, I'd use that piece to say how loyal he is, even if the feeling is not mutual.
Rp as dk - be emotionless - be creepy - be insanely strong - god emote if you are noob - just stand around let people come to you then speak a little if they give you a reason to speak not that hard to rp as dk :)
I like the idea of DK who controls his addiction to pain by inflicting it on himself. Not in a physical, self flagellation way, that would be boring and kinda cliche. Instead he purposefully reminds himself of the atrocities he committed before he broke free from the Lich King, all the innocent men, women and children he slaughtered. Like the Hulk from Avengers, he is always in pain, and that's how he controls himself.
well i main a blood elf dk, he was a mage and student in dalaran. but then he was fighting against scourge, but he unfortunately died. but it wasnt his end, he was raised as a dk. now he is sadistic quite evil dk, he dont care about moral aspectc but he is proud warrior of the horde and he honorable his blood elf origin so he wear read coloured armor...
Well I wanted to asked, I am roleplaying a Dk-Worgen, and as Is stated I took her out of Pyrewood village as one of that escaped of Arugal gasp, I wanted to ask since I didnt see this on your worgen video, and your death knight video, and since blizz torn much of pyrewood lore with Cataclism, and the origin of the worgens. Since the pack form(Aka. origin of the curse) its was in fact something that has be used to fight the undead disease of the scourge, and has shown a rather bigger inmunity than so other not-light related things, and its stated that most of Arugal worgens that escaped were captured (if they werent used on Grizzly hills), killed and raised up in the exact moment, due to the worgen curse and scourge magic mix, how lively they would be? In other words, since the sensation and most of the feels, that death knight had, depends directly on how fast they were raised by death, and since the worgen curse would fight most of the decay, how lively they would be? Sorry my bad english, and thanks for reading.
Nevia he once was, he stood in the midst of battle, he fought gladly against the armies of the Lich King. Blow after blow he struck and blow after blow they struck back parrying. Every time they struck he got a little weaker, bit by bit they struck harder and harder. Then suddenly an ice cold hand drifted over his shoulder at first, he couldn't feel his back. Then his ankles started freezing over, he noticed his legs getting numb before falling off completely. As he fell on his knees suddenly he turned to ice completely. He watched his brethren fall in unison, as the icy smoke descended down. They sat there preserved in ice watching the world go by, trees fell and grew up around him.It was almost peaceful but that was the last peace he would ever know for a long time. They are suddenly picked up by a carriage, being hauled by an amalgamation of sorts with chains written across his body, sewn into places others, not. So they arrive at their destination, a floating necropolis in the sky. He is deposited at the gate before, being lifted up by an elevator into the floating necropolis. As he gets thawed out he is greeted with chains written across his body and, a tattoo with painfully sharp needles inching across his body. They spiral in and out into a tattoo-ruin of sorts. He is tossed almost immediately Into a cage imbued with the ruins of frost. He grasps at the cage he yells loudly "let me out of here let me out of the wretched cage!" but it is too late his hands freeze into place. He says "what are these incantations I can't break free I must fight" but, the frost spreads to his head before he is knocked out cold by the frost frothing around in his cage. He wakes up to his hands bound by chains. He is stretched and whipped constantly until his hair turns into a sheet of white. He bleeds all over, blood covering his entire being. He then is thrown into the sewers of the necropolis writhen with disease. He crawls back out of the sewers painfully, before they kick him back down again. He cries and, cries trying to remember the life of pain he hasn't had. He thinks of Alexander, what would he do and then high lord comes and he is shown up to his face what remnants of the Ashbringer remain and, with that he snapped. All he ever knows now is the pain, pain and, constant suffering. High Lord Darian Morgraine says "he is ready, let him inflict pain on the first one he sees". He is then offered a blade covered in his own blood. They then instruct him to imbue it with spell most mighty, Ice that will turn bones into dust.He then is told to kill a fellow night elf. He unlocks the chain as per instructed and kills his own brother on the spot not even knowing who he was nodding and caring what happened. he is then greeted by an abomination of most awesome power. With his hook, he unsuited a cloak a shroud of darkness. High Lord instructs "place the cloak upon your body become like frost, become like snow, become Neviasnow". From then on he did everything high lord requests, turning villagers into ice, turning homes into frosty ruins. As his final deed he fought against paladins in the battle of lights hope before, having the spectacle of the Ashbringer returning. The Lich King yelled in protest and left to his own business. On that day Neviasnow broke free of control he finally had a free will but, what would he do now. He supposes that since of all that killing, he should become a vigilante killing from his own free will instead of a foul deed. So every day he would assassinate the worst of the worst, crime bosses, overlords, megalomaniacs, he would kill them all perhaps out of malice, perhaps out of his own suffering. He needed to inflict pain it didn't happen he would go insane all the memories would come flooding back to him. On the more positive side he quickly made allies with the SI:7,but he wants something more somewhere he can belong.
one could easily roleplay a first gen death knight that willingly embraced undeath, while most of the original ones were killed its not like the ritual used to create them cant be done again, roleplay wise they would likely be less angsty but no less edgy as your adding a thirst for power also the blood elves would accept the death knights just fine as they developed a kinship with the forsaken and death knights situation is basiclly a lessoned version of the forsaken
I play my worgen dk's rp diffrent, I make the storie, that I was in gilneas under the plague, and the forsaken attack, but got captured and killed by them, and thats how you end up as a death knight, when you're worgen :P
+Senex Well, as I recall, gilnean worgens are immune to the scourge stuff and the plague. But there's also another problem with that, which is the timeline. The siege of Gilneas wasn't until AFTER the fall of the Lich King, in fact, the events taking place in Gilneas correspond to Deathwing fucking up Azeroth, which once again, didn't happen until Arthas got replaced by Bolvar.
my Rp is my dk was a paladin from one of the few gnomeregan churches and he was sent to northrend and his squad was ambushed by valkry (or what ever those giant guys are called) and he was the lone survivor, and the scourge found him... at first they helped him then they started to manipulate and brainwash him and slowly turned him into a deathknight.
What if I wanted to rp a death knight that still "believes" in the scourge (enjoyed serving it in the first place) and still wants arthas back? would that sound too strange or could there be something done with that backround. I personally like the idea and lore behind the scourge and arthas
That could be done however try not to use lore characters as that would get most people ignoring you. However,I have tryed and it helps to have RP friends.
If there's a forsaken deathknight then they might just be a different humanoid deathknight who suffered decay. I first thought of making a spare character that is a former deathknight turned into a demon hunter. However that would break the lore massively due to how both classes work. So i backed off from that.
What about worgons who claimed the wall before the opening of the gate ? Isn't that another way to create a do worgon and they were not cursed ( not all of them) this is what I have read up on so yer correct me if I'm completely wrong
never thought about this but in my own halo Nerdy lore. the 3 generations of dk remind me of the 3 generations of spartans 2nd considered the best by some (arthas) and third generation being my favorite (the player) fruit for thought
I had this whole thing were my human dk was supposed to be half human and half worgen and she died later on but apparently to someone that's not lore wise (since worgens came after wrath)
I roleplayed as a 1st Gen. DK with a human blood DK raised by Gul'dan. I found it much more interesting, and people didn't really seem to have a problem with it.
People, for some intel on the dead Knights just watch "tales of the past" on RUclips, some of it is nonsense, but it is still a great video with an awesome story!
I don't really got the Worgen part, please ? :p Are we talking about the worgen in silverpine forest ? In that village ? Those are the worgen death knights right ? And they do not come from Gilneas then. Thanks
Archmage Vargoth brought the curse of Worgen to Gilneas to fight some sort of enemy(i dont remember) from Emerald Dream. And it turned out to be a greater threat and it spreaded to people making them transform into worgen. Then Gilneans kicked those who got the curse out of the city one way or another. A worgen Death Knight would be one of those exiled, which happened so many years ago. Since Gilneas shut itself to rest of the world, there was no contact between them and the scourge. And that leaves you with the option I told
I'm thinking of moving my dk to an rp realm. She's a blood elf (I feel scared being a female character on an rp realm since I mainly play them), and I wanna have her have been killed in arthas' s slaughtering of the high elves, do u think her being a 3rd gen dk could fit somehow?
Thomas Thory Rao "Arthas killed all the elves in the third war." He killed most, not all. That how you have the blood elves and the silver covenant today.

blacksunaccounts Rppvp server for example is the same as a pvp server with a few rp guilds. Rp server is the same as a pve server just has people rping in the capital and a few cities and sometimes you might stumble onto big events.
In Character and Out of Character Are things that are very important when you're an rper on an rp server. In character is when you're, well,... in character, your playing as your character like an actor would theirs. But, then there's out of character, this is when you're leveling or raiding. Possibly even pvp in some cases. This is when your not role playing and playing as normal. Some people like to roleplay all the time, or when they are leveling or pvping. It really depends on when you want to roleplay if you want to roleplay.
undead would probably hate death knights, seeing as they were saves by lady sylvannas who they love adore and completely idolize, she was tortured by the lich king and turned into a banshee and now has a personal vendetta against him, thus making undead share the same hatred and anger, not to mention the forsaken HATE the scourge and want to wipe them out and the scourge are directly associated with DKs. It also doesn't help that undead are a race out for only themselves, holding no true alliances and fighting for only their banshee queen in the end
But the Forsaken were originally undead of the scourge that Sylvanas freed from the Lich King's control. It wouldn't make sense for them to turn away new allies who were pretty much in the same boat as them.
Yeah, nice to hear the generation fact :) But people in RP often forget they are dead and RP they can make kids... Think thats really sad and wrong RP style for a death knight. Play mine as he cant feel love :) Get a bit dissapointed when people play them to be able to get kids while they are death knight. thanks for the guide :)
+Mallamira87 Yeah.... having children as a death knight is wrong in so many ways. One of them just being that it's flat out impossible, and the other... well, that one is easy to figure out.
Winter Phoenix I'm afraid it's not possible. Death Knights were stripped of all positive emotion, those that still had those specific emotions were slain. Thus they can't be in an "emotional" romantic relationship. There's also the fact that dating a Death Knight is tantamount to necrophilia, as they are undead.
Winter Phoenix The undead however are technically walking corpses. They are not alive. To be alive, you need to fit certain requirements, such as gaining energy, reproducing, and homeostasis, among other things. Death Knights don't need to eat or breathe, so gaining energy can be crossed out. Death Knights are undead, and most bodily functions are crossed out, including the ability to reproduce. This also crosses out homeostasis, which is essentially your body keeping itself in one piece. If they didn't manually take care of themselves, they would eventually rot. It's certainly not impossible that Death Knights could relearn their emotions, but before they can qualify as Death Knights, they are tortured to the point that, when they regain conscienceness they won't feel anything. To summarize, the "third generation" Death Knights are originally made to be emotionless killing machines, but, with what you have shown me, it's likely that after remembering who they were, their emotions likely flooded back in. That's not to say that's what happened to the player Death Knights, as each individual will have their own story to tell with their character.
Can i say somthing? ☺️ I don't say either of you difference view of a dk's emotions is wrong or right ☺️ I know it's difference how ppl look at it but to make children with a dk is "no go" maybe some can't feel the strongest feelings but I has decided that mine can't feel love and all those in that directions. Where I plays mine as the feelings of anger an so is fare more strong feeling an he react on those with his reborn lust for killing that the Lichfield King gave him. True he can smile an feel comfortable and all those common feelings. And.. One more thing he can remember how love is and feel, but can't feel it anymore, just remember how it was and what he once feel. Instead of make children I have a good friend who plays his daughter. But! She was born before the Lichfield King took him. He can't have anymore children's after he turned to a death knight. Just how I play him, because I was thinking that was a brilliant idea, at that time, hihi 😄 JUST no CHILDREN after turns dk 😋
Mallamira87 When I remake my Death Knight on an rp server (I don't know when it will be) I'll probably do something similar to that. Except the children thing, of course. However, I'm highly fond of the scourge champion armor set, and the scourgelord paulders & gauntlet. I'll probably do something with the saronite the armor is made of, maybe make my Death Knight a little bit insane because of said saronite. Death Knights can go insane, right? You know, moreso than they might be from the trauma of being killed once.
So, I was just wondering if the death knight's need to inflict pain would be influenced by their race. For example, could a gnome be content engineering creative new ways to kill people? Or do all races need to have a direct impact on the suffering of others? Also, how much suffering do they need to cause? Could they be kept sane by killing rats and pulling the legs off of spiders?
I'd imagine that a gnome death knight's inventions would usually be more violent. Always using the exploding sheep and never the target dummy sort of thing.
is it okay if I have invincible as my mount for my human DK? if so, I will say it is a memo of arthas' glory, and to show that even death knights have happiness inside, and that they also miss their lives, and wish they have a memory from them
You know, actually there are 3 types of DK. 1. Ice - they are just usial death knights who rot and etc. 2. Unholy - they are not dead they are just necromancers with swords (like paladins - priest in armor) 3. Blood - the most interesting type for me. They are vampires. Just like Sen'lein and they need food and other stuff. Also you can be werewolf-vampire...fuck usial rpg rules)
and the covenant do think of spartans as demons, since they thought the humans brought their soldiers back to life and made them fight. thus they got so strong.
+Jamie “Kaoci” Potter He explained that the first generation Death Knights were orcs put into the bodies of human knights, and that there are few (likely none) alive today.
Also get lower PING and increase performance with NoPING: nopi.ng/Doronsmovies
How to RP DK:
1. turn on voice chat.
2. put mouth in toilet paper core
3. breathe heavily while speaking
Darth Vader :O
I thought they had really bad lung problems, but I guess they were the DKs
Veeti Raussi Their lungs are so bad that they're not there anymore :O
Or could get the voice changer program, but I guess toilet paper works as well. :D
Doronsmovies I love toilet paper!
The economical Swiss army knife.
Best way to get a good dk story
-dont play dk : that means,rp the same race, but another class, and evolve a story for him
-let him die by a strange wound
-create dk
-create backstory for him
-play the dk
My death knight sates his addiction by telling people they can't sit with him
Just pop your remorseless winter and nobody will feel warm and happy with you around.
This is hilarious
I like to think that the memories they retain is dependent on how much of the hippocampus hasn't rotted away.
ooo, I like that
I would guess arthas turned undead when he was frozen in a chair for like 4 or 5 years. That tends to kill you.
I'd say he turned undead when he ripped his own heart and tossed it in a lake
How people actually RP DK's:
1) Stay at level 58 and never level
2) Give yourself a ridiculous title
3) RP like your character wasn't actually a DK
Yup
"Not a DK ICly"
SgtTeddybear59 Ye lol nah when I make a hero i grind that shit all night...
I got fired... Plz help me!

THIS GAME IS DEAD!
11:25 it... it... blinked....
3:44 50 Shades of Death Knight
I play as a Draenei Death Knight :D
My Story:
I was once a paladin against the evils of the world, a new commander that has proven her might in many fights, yet I have fallen in battle...
:< it all depends on you :) :D - sorry if I answered late-
RIIIIMMAAAAAA JEEEENKINS......
..................Oh my god she just ran in
+Rimma Jenkins i love reading peoples roleplay stories :)
Heres mine:
my Rp is my dk was a paladin from one of the few gnomeregan churches and he was sent to northrend and his squad was ambushed by valkry (or what ever those giant guys are called) and he was the lone survivor, and the scourge found him... at first they helped him then they started to manipulate and brainwash him and slowly turned him into a deathknight.
Nicee!! :)
The best DK rp ive seen is a human deathknight with the soul of a shadow counsel Orc warlock who was put into the body of a fallen human pally so he walks and talks like human but his personality is orcish
Dude... you're a furry
Colby Howard LoL human furry be like
so teron gorefiend
Great vid, i personaly dont RP, but love Deathknights and i wanted to know more about them :) you helped alot dude :) thank you.
I guess Legion disproved that with Arthas' spirit battling Ner'Zhul's.
in Legion, DKs indeed hear the whispers of the new Lich King, like finding the artifacts, and raising the new four horsemen.
I feel like I'm the only goblin death knight in the world, but eh it's pretty awesome to be an undead goblin mercenary. Great video!
We're all brothers and sisters in death. Harness your hate; make it useful.
+Wailer Hey i play a gnome DK... i dont know if that counts though...
+Aidan McWhirter Why? Nooo! But in full seriousness the Armour really doesn't fit them.
Doc I feel like the only death knight gnome xD
uh, what about undead deathknights
Sami Suhonen They died, were controlled by the scourge, broke free, got controled by the scourge again and broke free again.
Doronsmovies i kinda feel bad for them
+Doronsmovies That doesn't make sense. That means that more undeads should have become DK's
+Javad Sharifzadeh-Najafi The were dead, began to rot. And were then raised.
+Javad Sharifzadeh-Najafi You have to actually be good enough to even be considered to be made a dk
RP a death knight that got raised after being hit by wagon-kun
WorgenDKs in the Starting zone, like the Gilnean are Blizzard Fucking the Lore up.
i think that if you die and are rezed you can rember things based on how long you were dead. if a short time you can rember more
but the longer you are dead the less you can rember.
Laided is not a word.
Once the other dude sacrified himself aganist the attacking Nerubians to save his friends, meanwhile the sleeping Lich King as presence of Arthas haunted my char's mind to convince her to kill the bitten friend or else he turns into undead - other fact that my girl's parents have been slain by Arthas' men in Stratholme (she was luck for being at her grandparents in the capital city in that time, but since Arthas was my once-child char's idol, it was really hurt for her but tried to understand it had been happened or else her parents turn to be undead)
And then my char after long refuses, killed the bitten dude and by anger (because she blamed the Scourge for it) rushed to find the captain, but was too late: even she saved the captain, during a fight died and in the end, by listening to the blaming and pleased whisps, my char turned crazed and lost in deep of Northrend - until the Lich King woke up and started raise Death Knights, so he found even my char and made her killed and raised.

Ok i think the Lore of my DK fits in to this roleplaying guide
My character Cezas was a Blood Elf who was born on the Sunset isles and in his childhood he used to pretend to be paladin by playing with a wooden sword when he grew older he became a paladin with his friend Lisa and at the time the Lich king was ruling in Northrend they both tried to kill any scourge in Azeroth and 5 years later they were going on a campaign in Northrend to destroy the lich king's plans and to kill all the scourge of the land they couldn't do this alone so they joined the Argent Crusade to help them after successfully destroying the Lich king's plans they got caught by the scourge and the Lich king wanted to deal with them himself Cezas was going to marry Lisa that day as well after beig sent to the Lich king Cezas and Lisa said the only way out of this was to kill him so they tried to kill him but the Lich king's power was too much for Cezas and Lisa and the LichKing strangeled Lisa to death Cezas wasfilled with rage and tried to strike the Lich King but the Lich King easily killed himbut the Lich King saw power in Cezas so he raised him as a DK Cezas was working for the scourge the Lich King had a Campaignin Ty'rs hand and the Lich King brought Cezas with him Cezas carried out the Lich King's orders util he fought in the battle of light's hope chapel after losing in the battle Tirion Fordring showedDarion his pst and then Cezas began to remember his past and broke out of the will of the Lich King.
That's it.
Ok i think the Lore of my DK fits in to this roleplaying guide, This one makes sense. xD

Thanks for the guide dorons
am i the only one who plays a blood elf Dk to roleplay as a high elf?
I rp as a High elf but just play a human,
Many some belf and nelf dks rp a San'layn
+freezaplanet419 I forget to mention about his blade after he got resurrected his sword got renamed Felhound!
Thanks for positive feedback(:
Or Plaugehound
My solution is to summon an undead and consume that shit until I kill it again. That is how I would deal with the hunger.
CarrowMind Just get out and slaughter bad guys, that way everyone is happy (except the bad guys)

well i main a blood elf dk, he was a mage and student in dalaran. but then he was fighting against scourge, but he unfortunately died. but it wasnt his end, he was raised as a dk. now he is sadistic quite evil dk, he dont care about moral aspectc but he is proud warrior of the horde and he honorable his blood elf origin so he wear read coloured armor...
My Elf paladin died while defending the sunwell... now she embraced her new dark self :)
if i could compare myself irl id be a death knight except the masochism and sadism the negative is good but positive is like a arrow to the heart
this video makes me question myself o.o
Here's my backstory for my DK
one could easily roleplay a first gen death knight that willingly embraced undeath, while most of the original ones were killed its not like the ritual used to create them cant be done again, roleplay wise they would likely be less angsty but no less edgy as your adding a thirst for power
also the blood elves would accept the death knights just fine as they developed a kinship with the forsaken and death knights situation is basiclly a lessoned version of the forsaken
I play my worgen dk's rp diffrent, I make the storie, that I was in gilneas under the plague, and the forsaken attack, but got captured and killed by them, and thats how you end up as a death knight, when you're worgen :P
Senex But worgens are immune to the plague...
+Senex But did forsakens raise DK's ?
Samy Samos As far as I know. Worgens were captured by the forsaken and killed by them. and the rest you will have to fiqure that out you're self :D
+M.C Fletscher Agreed. That's what I wanted too !
If there's a forsaken deathknight then they might just be a different humanoid deathknight who suffered decay. I first thought of making a spare character that is a former deathknight turned into a demon hunter. However that would break the lore massively due to how both classes work. So i backed off from that.
3:10 nice angel imagery
Turkish Spaghettie Heh, didn't even realize it unitl now. :D
+Doronsmovies lol it's nice to see something the person who made it didn't :P
Im really confused about Draenei DKs, because the Exodar crashed after the events of WotL, didn't it? Or am i just stupid?
What about worgons who claimed the wall before the opening of the gate ? Isn't that another way to create a do worgon and they were not cursed ( not all of them) this is what I have read up on so yer correct me if I'm completely wrong
Ok what about each spec? I mean if blood are like vampires or something, unholy has a little bit of necromancy
never thought about this but in my own halo Nerdy lore. the 3 generations of dk remind me of the 3 generations of spartans
2nd considered the best by some (arthas) and third generation being my favorite (the player) fruit for thought
I had this whole thing were my human dk was supposed to be half human and half worgen and she died later on but apparently to someone that's not lore wise (since worgens came after wrath)
Mythic Akneth All dk worgen are Ex Servants of Arugal
oh doesnt the only thing that hurts any undead is the light ? its said that when undead priests heal others it hurts them and is extremly painful.
+Jeremy Rios Yeah, when undead use light magic, or are healed by light magic, it causes pain.
I roleplayed as a 1st Gen. DK with a human blood DK raised by Gul'dan. I found it much more interesting, and people didn't really seem to have a problem with it.
Hallo
What's the lore behind goblin DKs . Is it just the goblin mercanaries , before they joined the horde,
can death knight switch class? or is it possible if you wasn't a death knight and want to become one?
People, for some intel on the dead Knights just watch "tales of the past" on RUclips, some of it is nonsense, but it is still a great video with an awesome story!
I don't really got the Worgen part, please ? :p
Are we talking about the worgen in silverpine forest ?
Arthas killed all the elves in the third war. Also the time when most 3rd gen DK's would have originally died. So it would work.
Thomas Thory Rao "Arthas killed all the elves in the third war."
He killed most, not all. That how you have the blood elves and the silver covenant today.

what is an rp server like? do you still lfg? do you do the same things except just pretend ur really the character when you talk to people?
blacksunaccounts Rppvp server for example is the same as a pvp server with a few rp guilds. Rp server is the same as a pve server just has people rping in the capital and a few cities and sometimes you might stumble onto big events.
In Character and Out of Character
Are things that are very important when you're an rper on an rp server.
It really depends on when you want to roleplay if you want to roleplay.
i named my dk Málthiel, i would've named him Maltiel but that name was taken
And he's unholy
What about the Forsaken how do they view Death Knights?
Probably accept them with open arms into their society.
undead would probably hate death knights, seeing as they were saves by lady sylvannas who they love adore and completely idolize, she was tortured by the lich king and turned into a banshee and now has a personal vendetta against him, thus making undead share the same hatred and anger, not to mention the forsaken HATE the scourge and want to wipe them out and the scourge are directly associated with DKs.
Thanks so much me and my friends are going to have so much fun role playing are new dk yaayyyyyy!!!
The Curse of the Forsaken has begun!
Didn't watch the whole thing lol did he also include the original death knights for Doomhammer?
I write it a 'bit' too late but i've heard once the worgen DK's can't turn back into humans. Is it true?
Bolvar raised a fourth generation keep that in mind if you are pandarian or allied race death knight
I love it :)
how exactly do Undead DK's work? they kinda were already dead. Are Undead DK's zombiefied zombies then?
Just rotting death Knights, or captured forsaken that had their will broken.
+Matt Allen They died, were controlled by the scourge, broke free, got controled by the scourge again and broke free again.
I guess the best major city to hang out in would be undercity
Bad ass intro!
is it okay if I have invincible as my mount for my human DK?
if so, I will say it is a memo of arthas' glory, and to show that even death knights have happiness inside, and that they also miss their lives, and wish they have a memory from them
+Andrew Roberts How can you miss something you have no memory of?
+Raven Bl00dbunni umm... Leeroy Jenkins did it?
You can say it's not invincible and it's your horse that died and you raised
The scourge probably forbid them because they dreamt of their past?
yes bcs it would make them to turn against the scourge...
Thank you so much!!!!
Rlly nice videos but...is possible to add subtitles???
And another good thing to do is top lore trasmog for X class, maybe it will be a good idea.
You could probably make a character, and a dk version later
Wait no troll dk??
Should i write the backstory before i died even though i don't remember it?
I think you could go with either, Darion remembered his past before becoming a DK.
My death knight is aware of his former self but no longer wishes to be associated with him so he has a separate personality.
Arthas cut his own heart out and threw it in a dark place .... then he became undead .
They can be Man'ari and be willing to Arthas... then be freed and showen the way.
Coming from your DK lore video... I don't want someone who makes so many errors in that video to tell me how to RP a DK.
What's the name of the outro song?
You know, actually there are 3 types of DK.
1. Ice - they are just usial death knights who rot and etc.
2. Unholy - they are not dead they are just necromancers with swords (like paladins - priest in armor)
3. Blood - the most interesting type for me. They are vampires. Just like Sen'lein and they need food and other stuff. Also you can be werewolf-vampire...fuck usial rpg rules)
We, frost dk's are not just "usual" death knights, we are killing machines, we massacre the ones who come in our path.
Medik 31112 yeah. We are genius, very strong and edgy killing machines.
and the covenant do think of spartans as demons, since they thought the humans brought their soldiers back to life and made them fight. thus they got so strong.
Can DKs be happy? At all?
+Ivan Bevanda (SuperCraftGamer) It's rare but yeah.
No details on forsaken deathknights?
Died, risen and with Sylvanas. Died again now Scourge. Changed again now Sylvanas.
He mentioned it I believe, most forsaken see it as a gift.
Yeah it is true, most of them see it as an upgrade. Although some might see it as a really bad thing, because they fell under Arthas 2 times.
how about the undead death knight?
good enough
one thing about the DK Rp lore that doesnt work is the origonal DK were orcs?
+Jamie “Kaoci” Potter He explained that the first generation Death Knights were orcs put into the bodies of human knights, and that there are few (likely none) alive today.
can the 3rd gen dk make new dk ?
i thought that worgen cannot be turned undead
Can't I just join forsaken??
Can you use heirlooms in RP servers?
Why not?
you forgot about the forsaken
Anyone up for RPing on Argent Dawn? (EU Alliance)
Thanks!
Me? XD
I'm gonna make an undead death knight, he was a human warrior and he died, badabing badaboom he's a rotten human death knight.
+TheMysteriousDumbaz1
You just named my first ever RP character.
I don't play him anymore.
also worgen werent resurrected. its impossible to resurrect a worgen. all undead worgen were corrupted to become that state.
wow this is a Reading of a fórum :D
I think it's funny how you call them Dead Knights as if to say they are dead knights and not Death Knights! :D
