Nice to see that bad cap explode. Very entertaining. It didn't deserve to remain in one piece. Not only did it rest in peace (RIP) but also rest in pieces haha! In the past I've fixed many 80's computer monitors (especially by Commodore) and one common problem was bad capacitors causing a ticking sound. Do you know which part was making the ticking sound? I suspect it was that cap.
Hahahhaha 😅😅 It becomes frightening condition when it produces a blast sound with smoke More horrible situation is that when we poke test lead on PCB and there is this type of disaster and we aren't mentally prepared for this unforeseen event In first moment it makes us crazy 🤣🤣 Tik tik sond i think from high frequency transformer because there was short circuit due to parallel zener diode So voltage weren't passing to the capacitor
@@g4z-kb7ct because there was huge fluctuation after removing short ciruited zener 1n4741 and feedback loop was inactive due to optocoupler failure Then all spikes reached to this weak capacitor, this capacitor was also near to its last life stage When it is old its ESR increases, causes to increase itnernal temperature It was unable to handle those large pumping spikes It is my opinion May be right or may wrong....

well this is why its a good idea to wear protective glasses,because if something pops,it wont take out your eye...I remember the first time i was taking measures on a tv psu,and the mosfet expoded,i was scared to death...lol@@HaseebElectronics

In a similar situation, I changed the optocoupler, Schottky rectifier diodes and even TL431 - no result. And the cause of the malfunction was a faulty variable resistor (never failed) near LED, which turned 2.2 Kohm into 1 Kohm. How is that? - I don't know. I replaced it with a 470 ohm permanent resistor, selected the nominal value. The output voltage has become 12.1 volts and the SMPS is still working fine. Can something happen that is impossible? - it can happen.

TL431 found good. it was a really amazing. i think it was material failure of optocoupler resulting open circuit. if it was due to overcurrent, then TL431 must damage with optocoupler
