    I like that this one is mixed quieter, so you can increase the volume without clipping/distortion. It’s the little things.

      @@sookie.smoothdistortion happens when an audio clip is made too high in volume and when you start putting the audio in high volume on your device then it introduces unwanted “distorted” frequencies

      @@sookie.smooth distortion is a mangling of sound--with intention, often sounding great, like on heavy metal guitars or aggressive 808s (and so forth)--or it can sound poorly, like when you crank up the volume on lesser speakers and everything starts sounding crunchy and grating
      Darryl means that the volume is low enough so they can raise the volume on their end without the audio reaching too high a level (this is how i will describe clipping for laymen) and begins getting all crunched and biting, muffled, too-loud, awful

Tonight, he's with me, and as usual, there's a lot going on in his body and mind, making it hard to fall asleep - until I gave him headphones and played this. Within five minutes, he was sleeping peacefully 💕.

    • @MindAmend
      @MindAmend  Год назад +4

       @skiingharpist3147 Unfortunately, this is a trend I've seen happening on all the long-play 8+ hour sleep tracks I've checked out on RUclips. I used to think it was just happening to my channel randomly and I posted many support tickets to RUclips about it. Without anyone giving me an explanation. Then I discovered that all the long-play sleep videos on other channels have a most-played part at around 6 hours. Which is when ads are playing. So it's happening on all videos of this type and length.
      RUclips has it in its terms of use that it reserves the right to show ads, even if creators have them turned off. I guess they are just trying to recover the increased bandwidth costs of playing videos for many hours without ads.
      I've always had mid-video ads turned off and I have no additional control over them. I'm afraid the only way to guarantee no ads is via a RUclips premium subscription.

      I want to also add, joining a CrossFit gym was the best thing I ever did for myself regarding my sleep. Also, try to eliminate things that are stressful to you in your life as much as humanly possible. Learn to say no to things you really want to say no to and yes to things you really want to say yes to. Get back in touch with yourself and heal your past traumas. It's a journey and not necessarily a destination but the closer you get the better your sleep and overall sense of well being is going to be.

  • @MindAmend
    @MindAmend  6 месяцев назад +48

    Note about ads in the video. I have always had mid-video ads turned off on all the videos on my channel. I have no intention of ever changing that. However, you should be aware that RUclips reserves the right to show ads in their terms of use, even when creators have them turned off. So I'm afraid I have no control over that.
    I've researched videos and comments on my own and many other channels. RUclips does appear to insert an ad break on videos that are 8+ hours. This is why you see a most-played part around 6 hours on every long-play music/audio video on RUclips. If you look at it from RUclips's perspective, they have to cover the bandwidth costs for many hours of video without showing ads. So although I don't want them there, I can understand why they may be exercising their right to insert them.
    A RUclips premium subscription is the only way to guarantee there aren't ads in any video.

      Thank you. I dimmed the visual to 40% after 45 seconds, as I was thinking about people wanting to sleep with it. I would love to make lots of black screen videos. However, I have a gut feeling that RUclips will eventually penalise channels with lots of those. So I am reluctant to make many of them. RUclips are big on clamping down on channels with what they perceive as duplicate content. Although I have different variations of brown noise, an average RUclips reviewer could well look at multiple brown noise videos with a black screen as just dupliate content and think I'm just trying to game their system. When I'm not.
      I have already had my channel demonetized twice in the past for what was perceived to be duplicate content by a RUclips moderator. I was extremely relieved and very gratefully reinistated both times on appeal, after I was able to explain what I'm doing. However, it's not always guaranteed that you can appeal or even be able to communicate with someone to explain. When you've spent so long building something, it's terrifying thinking you could lose your livelihood and something so rewarding, just by trying to give your audience exactly what you know so many of them want and regularly ask for.

    This sound reminds me of a long flight to a beautiful place and you just woke up in the morning, everything is silent and you open up the tiny plane window and you see the amazing landscape and the wonderful view over everything. The sound throws me back to some nice journeys of my life. Thank you Jason :)

    You’re an artist. Reading through the other comments, I agree with them all. I travel many days a week and speak in different cities. This has helped me get the restful, restorative sleep I need by balancing out the different noises in each different hotel environment. God bless you.

    I can’t afford to fly anywhere especially in this economy. So I listen to this and pretend I’m flying on a plane to Hawaii and it makes me happy.

    I suffer from the worst hbp,panic disorder, and anxiety. Never, ever thought something like this could help. It's not anxiety medicine but man, it was like I was 40,000 ft in the air, snoozing on a plane. Wonderful

    I live on a very busy road, cars and busses and bikes going down it all day long, and the noise drives me crazy. This has helped drown out the sound for the last year. It is amazing - thank you.

    I sincerely hope that everyone here in the comment section find everlasting peace and the self love you all deserve. I’ve gone through a lot of comments and they are very inspiring.
    On a side note, I was at the peak of my morning anxiety today & I always struggle to get up in time because of it, when suddenly it magically went away when I started listening to this. Very strange. It calmed me down immediately. I got up from bed and got ready for work with ease and calm. I also suffer from ADHD and clinical bipolar depression and it’s gotten me into a suppressing choke hold for years. It’s very hard. I cry out of nowhere a lot for whatever reason so listening to this def helps. I wish everyone the best of the best. We all deserve serenity. Thank you for this video.

    I haven’t slept through the night in years! I'm also in menopause so not sleeping well at all. I've tried sound machines with nature sounds, etc. White noise is just too loud for me. I read about brown noise, never heard of it before, so I tried a few other videos before I came across this one. I slept the night the first time I used it! I woke up in shock! It works! Amazing!

    I use this to sleep. I don’t know what happened but in the last week all of a sudden there’s a commercial right in the middle. It jars me awake in the middle of the night. Such a shame I love this version of Brown Noise. It really helped me sleep.

      I’m afraid when ads happen randomly like that it’s out of my control, as I have mid-video ads turned off.

    I just found this video after watching a video on dealing with ADD. I've been struggling with sleep. Took a long shower and put this on last night. My sleep was sooooo deep! Wow. Thanks

    brown noise ive realized works best for me. White noise is way to loud and static whereas brown noise is deep and kinda muffled. it helps me focus a lot better

    Yo this is so weird, usually I have like 5, songs stuck in my head, intrusive thoughts, random thoughts, and so much more blocking my actually productive brain, but listening to this gets rid of all of that thank u so much

    Playing this and "smoothed brown noise 8-hours" at the same time in 2 different browser tabs. Both are great on their own. Together, it's heaven.

    Like many other people here I suffer from severe anxiety, severe processing issues, autism etc. and white noise is too harsh, too invasive. The only way I can describe it is it’s the noise that represents nightmares and being stuck in a bad place in your head. Listening to brown noise is the only time I actually relax, but even then my brain will suddenly and randomly misinterpret the noise to mean a threat, and suddenly I’m having a panic attack (ironic) because my brain has paired this noise to being busy and stuck in my own chaotic thoughts. Long post I know, but I hope at least one other person can relate ❤
