This is a collection of many stereo brown noise samples that I have smoothed and deepened to varying amounts and then layered together into a sleepy cacophony of deep rumbling sounds. Great for falling asleep, focusing, studying, and blocking out other noises in your current environment.

When I was a child my grandparents lived in a mobile home. I would go to visit them for a week in the summer. I used to go in my bedroom and put my face over the the A/C vent in the floor and cover my head with a blanket and let this exact sound of the wind wooshing through my ears lull me to sleep. I always thought it was strange so I never told anyone about it until right now. That was 40 years ago. It was so calming.

sounds like this often work in comforting the human brain because it mimics the sounds we experienced in the womb! Everything a bit muted, and under water since we're in the fluids of our mother's uterus. It's also why some people find great comfort in being swaddled up tightly in heavy blankets, or submerging themselves under the warm water of a bath. The isolation, but comfort of warmth/knowing someone is with you but also no one will bother you either is a very natural and comforting thing for most mammals. Even puppies tend to fall asleep easier in their new homes when they can be near their new owners, hearing them breathe, their heartbeats, or when they have a warm, dark place to rest that mutes the sounds of the outside world and provides a safe little nook to both observe and just exist and rest without having to be on alert.

posting to say this saved my life during COVID. All my classes went online, and I have serious problems with paying attention to online classes/reading material on a screen. Im a pre-med student, so losing focus even for 10 minutes in a class would result in me missing the point of an entire lecture. I dont what it is about this sound, but it is the only thing that can force me to concentrate. With sound cancelling headphones, I put this sound on an immediately and warped into work mode. During COVID, i would put this song on and read a bit of the chapter/material before my Zoom lecture would start. I would already be in relaxed work mode, and i could stay focused for an entire 50 minute period. Saved my organic chemistry grade (had to take both orgos online). It has been excellent for my concentration and I still use it to study for every single exam. I have tried rain, thunderstorms, the usual white noise (which makes me anxious more than anything else), and this is the ONLY thing that allows me to completely relax and focus. In silence, I would get tinnitus so distracting that I couldnt work anymore. This sound drowns even that out. Sorry for the book, but i am passionate about this sound. Thank you so much!

Hey, as someone actually in med school... You don't need to do everything that reddit/the internet says you need to do to get into medical school. I didn't, because I wasn't "premed" until a year after I graduated from undergrad. I'm a bio major without any research or volunteer experience, my grades weren't stellar either, and my MCAT was flat average; my best friend here is a music major. My uninvited advice is to unapologetically do things you really enjoy (I was in a LARP club), and don't stress if you mess up. Please don't measure your self worth in grades/numbers, it's easy to do and I've made that mistake (still make that mistake; trying not to). Medical school isn't worth wrecking your health for, and I also say that from experience. Have some joy, and stay healthy. This is a big endeavor; good luck!

I first found this video a few days ago and for the life of me, I couldn't connect it to one single experience. All I knew was that I quite literally couldn't think when I was listening to it, which in a way was relaxing. Now I finally have a correlation lol. Listening to this noise feels exactly like when I would have sleepovers with my cousin... of course I cried because I wanted to go home because it was hard to fall asleep in new atmospheres, but in that moment where I would at least try, it was really nice. I would forget that I was on the hard ground and the way the air sounded as it blasted through the wall air conditioner in the wall was so comforting for some reason. I also liked knowing the fact that the next morning I would wake up to french toast and sausage... haha life was so simple I had no idea.

To the maker of this video. Thanks for taking the time to add this quiet sound and edit it. Not only you created a calm place for students to study and focus, but you gave peace to people who hate loud noises, you offered a quiet video for those who wants to sleep. You simply created a solution for all our problems just by having a wonderful idea and uploading it into an amazing video. This is not only a video I saved like an official playlist. I work using your video and replay it over and over again. When i finally stopped watching movies at night and I want to go to sleep, I use it to quiet my brain and help me fighting the insomnia. When it’s too loud somewhere I just put the earbuds and listens. It’s like your soul travels to a farway beach on a sunny but windy day. Sometimes it feels like you’re on a plane. Sometimes it feels like yoûre travelling in a car or bus and it’s calm and silent outside. I don’t know who you are but thanks. This is truly life saving. People with phobias or noise intelorance will understand why I said that it’s life saving.

There is another memory, sitting in a hotel on the balcony watching the stars listening to the ocean exited about the things im doing the next day...

Oh My God, thank you infinite spirit. This is the most relaxed I have been since I can remember. This is like a massage for my brain, it literally puts all those racing thought to sleep. All I can focus on when I hear this is the sound and it’s so relaxing. It’s like a fan mixed with a smooth jet engine, I can’t explain it. My new go to for meditation and sleep. I’m listening to right while doordashing been listening to it all day and my day has been amazing, thank you soooooooo much, you have no idea. Brown noise out here really saving lives.

I see all these comments about how people find this so relaxing but it really makes me more anxious. I find myself anticipating the rhythms of waves or rain which relax me, so it frustrates me when that doesnt happen. I'm not complaining, just find it interesting how so many people find this relaxing but it stresses me out!!

I’ve been using this video for that past month so to fall asleep every night and it’s helped so much, I don’t like white noise I feel like it’s to loud, high pitched and it makes my ears ring a bit.
I never knew that white noise had different colors lmao.
I love this one a lot more it’s softer and deeper and I just knock out so fast, it would usually take up to 30 minutes for me to fall asleep with white noise and longer if it was just silence.
I do still have trouble with falling asleep/sleeping, brown noise has not cured me lmao, but this has helped me.
