All I can say, is that Undead Unluck is the best example I have ever seen of "It only gets better from here", because as a manga reader BOY DOES IT GET EVEN BETTER.
I look forward to it if they do make a second season. Lots of people are raving about the manga.
Fuko gets a lot more development later on and as a manga reader I like her more than Andy all I’m gonna say is wait till the spring arc she starts to shine there
I'm looking forward to her character growth because with how the story is shaping up, there is a lot of potential for her character.
I mean she is like one of the best female characters in shonen period imo but you’ll just have to wait and see

Yeah. As a person who as a hobby watches tons of stuff by the studio with same name as the band (as well as everything else in this genre), because while 95% of it is really, really terrible, you sometimes find a series that is actually good - though sadly days of "adult" anime with complex stories that are not 2 x 24 minutes or 3 x 16 minutes are basically gone.
Currently we have deluge of studio T-Rex animations which are basically all the same and quite static etc. But 2 or 3 of them are better than the rest. Yeah - I rarely watch them for fanservice, I'm trying to find decent stories within them. Which is weird and a lot of work.
As for Undead Unluck - I really liked the first episode and had to drop it for unrelated reasons. Later I was watching different stuff (Frieren and Apothecary Diaries) and I kind of forgot it existed. I also heard that story gets better with time, but I personally wasn't bothered by Andy's behavior. It's fiction dammit and honestly it works in comedic sense and in realistic (since bigger contact - better effect). I almost spit my drink out at that last comment in the first episode that you've shown (the "We should ****" part). Logical, funny and you know it ain't gonna happen, because unlike the studio with name like the band making music for the Anime - it's not that kind of a show ;)
I don't blame you for dropping the show, and both Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries are significantly better so you definitely didn't experience a downgrade.
Started watching because of this vid. I didn't really get invested until episode 14. Until the cruise ship the whole thing just felt like a grooming simulator and was 6/10 on a fairly generous day but it has improved substantially. As of episode 16 or so, it now sits at around a 7.5 for me and is looking to keep getting better from what I've heard. I can see why it doesn't have a big following, I usually quit after 5 episodes if it isn't good, and tbh this really wasn't very good for 10+ episodes - that's a big hurdle to get through. Sitting where I am now I can't quite tell if it's worth it yet but it is suddenly looking promising
I'm completely with you. And apparently it does get even better in the manga so hopefully if there is a second season then we'll see the anime get even better too.
Hmmmm, I haven't finished Hell's Paradise yet, (and didn't finish your video duscussing it so I could watch it). So that out of the blue comment at 0:43 was dissapointing to hear.
Don't worry. Hell's Paradise isn't finished. It's already confirmed for a second season. And not every character died in the show. I was exaggerating for this video. The anime does kill off a lot of characters, it's one of those shows. But it hasn't killed off everyone yet and the story is still ongoing. In fact, based on what I've heard from manga readers, it's likely to be a three season show. So if you're worried that I spoiled it, I haven't.

@@liamnidas you should read the Manga fuko gets more of a main role and the story gets better. The crazier stuff is going to happen later on and the characters are fleshed out so just let the anime catch up since it's technically still in the beginning of the Manga
