Why is there a Dragon at 11:07? Why does a Death Game Anime have a Dragon AND Zombies in it? This is so stupid I would have imagined it in Konasuba, but even Darkness would refuse the Pain of watching this!!!!!
Imo the show had a decent premise, like some abilities made some sense like the prime right to veto, divide, the right for stationary or the parental one, were pretty creative its just that most of the other ones were just so out there, like the summoning one, the fusing one, the display one, the command one, the no damage one and most of the ones from the enemies. plus the show wasn't even that creative with the death game aspect, like the risks, consequences and the loop holes it provides. the idea that only the minority of something survives puts a real spin on things, like the main character dies in like the second episode cuz of one. but they immediately find a loophole to bring them back with a question???? like that was way too soon in my opinion, also some characters that seem super important straight up die like abruptly, like one guy who was like a anti hero kind of person on their party dies cuz someone flashbangs him and stabs him???? and then he just bleeds out????? and then that same guy is is supposed to be wanting to kill everyone just dies instantly without acomplishing anything, and another dude is a villain at first and then he remembered how his dead buddy was like a really good guy and gives being good a chance????? AND NOW THERES A NEW MAIN CHARACTER AND NO MORE DEATH GAME????? like the falloff and wasted potential is so sadddddddddddddddddddddddd.
I think the only decent death game we had in this past few years is tomodachi game. Darwin's game is fine aside from the character design. Even 5 seconds to battle is sht and I've been looking forward to it but sadly it's still a disappointment.
So, like, the questions. What’s stopping someone from putting in the question “Are you [their name] born on [their birthday]?” Since the answer with the majority of responses die, there’s a very real chance that that would instantly end the game for everyone other than the people with Rights to avoid it
The problem with this death game is that the author had a cool idea, but didn't have a clue to execute that idea in a coherent way. They just wanted to make "cool" moments without understanding how a moment _becomes_ cool.
For me, Failure Frame is the most disgusting revenge isekai anime I've ever watched it in 2024, but the best mecha anime I've ever watched it in 2024 was Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms.
That thing-the one where characters have access to information that we don't-I'm not sure if it's a trope that has a name, but, I've taken to calling it the "Scooby Doo", because it's part of the episodic formula for the TV shows of that franchise. Velma always knows something that the audience doesn't. It was what made me angrily dislike that Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movie. There's a scene where he touches a gravestone and licks his fingers, and then that is never explained... right up until the climax, where it's revealed that some kinda beeswax could be used to glue a tombstone back together so it could be escaped from. (Or something, ive never watched the movie again.)
The concept of the death game was interesting when I first read the synopsis for the series. I thought it could’ve very easily been a very mindfucky battle of wits and weight. But in the first episode, everything went so wildly downhill that I just couldn’t continue. Incredibly sad to know the death battle just doesn’t matter after.
I'm glad I dropped it as soon as the dudes got revived. Despite the flaws in the writing I noticed, I was actually hyped that they were doing a protagonist switch right at the beginning and wanted to see how the story would play out with no men. When that didn't happen, any interest in the show left me.
You know, I wanted to see dumb people die and suffer, but this anime has the pacing of an hummingbird's heart on methamphetamine, so they kill all man at the end of ep 1, ress everyone in ep 2 and kill everyone not playing the game again right after. Oh and the characters are defined by one phrase, and it's not even a fun edgy one.
Imagine watching Monogatari after this. I felt like I was stuck for 1000 years on Antarctica naked and then thrown into a volcano. Feels good, I think.
I did not watch this. Nor do I want to. But there is this really cute magical girl show where one of the magical girls constantly yells the f word and is absolutely psychotic and bites peoples heads. She just really sucks at expressing her emotions without resorting to violence. I am sure you'd love it. If only for that psychotic magical girl. And remember, Tsukihime never got an anime adaptation. There is no Tsukihime anime. But I heard the Remake of the VN is pretty good.
Has there been any good death game animes lately? Like I'm genuinely asking because I feel like every death game anime that I've heard that has come out recently has been bad
I think if I'm being biased Alice in Wonderland is kinda good. I consider it a death game because the players are forced to play new games to get cards in a weird wasteland city. The protagonist isn't op but he is clever in his own way figuring out solutions sometimes out of the box. You can sort of fell the high stakes too.
There's also some anime that I only recommend that is from word of mouth but haven't gotten to watch which is Kaiji. It's characters are quite pointy but it is a gambling anime with potential death something Kagekugurui doesn't go that far. And this is another personal likes that may not appeal to most people is Btoom! A death game with that sorta FPS but with Boombs that has various functions to strategize to kill players for the chip to get out of the island used for entertainment kinda like Hunger games but without the sponsors and tributes.
Darwin game was decent, through the animation was mediocre. Deatte 5 biyu the battle also came out kinda recently but the animation was so bad that the story was the only thing carrying it(read the manga, its actually rather good)
@@farisanwari777 It really does a good job of forcing the players to fight for their lives. There's also smart solutions if ot weren't for the illusion of impeding death by the time a new game starts.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I am feeling like I want to watch some trashy anime, just so I can laugh my ass off at how bad it is. And then check all bad reviews while crying even more. I just need the time now...
if you want to see this concept done in an actually interesting way, go read liar game! one of the games is called "minority rule", which is basically the concept of "yes or no question where if you answer in the majority, you lose" except the penalty for losing is not dying but going 100 million yen into debt, which imo actually makes it WAY more interesting by allowing for plans in which you expect to lose but still manage to make a profit. it's not the whole manga, just one arc, but i'd really recommend it for anyone who's interested in games based around bluffing and tricking other players, with clearly defined rules that allow for lots of clever loopholes and plans on top of plans on top of plans. no magic, just psychology!
I watched 4 episodes, I don't know how I went this far. As far as I remember, they're all ennemis except of MC kun and his newly acquired girlfriend. Kind of the kindergarden kind of roleplay. The one perso who said this show and "I parry everything" are good animes has a serious problem, both of them have squishy scenario with the denser MC in existence, these are the two animes I hated from summer 2024.

Why does a Death Game Anime have a Dragon AND Zombies in it? This is so stupid I would have imagined it in Konasuba, but even Darkness would refuse the Pain of watching this!!!!!
It takes special talent for a death survival anime to rank the worst 🙄
1:30 Bro I was watching it 😭😭 10/10 4th wall break

Would it work on guys? I mean one of them has no balls (literally)
I think the only decent death game we had in this past few years is tomodachi game. Darwin's game is fine aside from the character design. Even 5 seconds to battle is sht and I've been looking forward to it but sadly it's still a disappointment.
What was wrong with 5 seconds? I thought it was pretty decent when I watched it
@StevenMcSteve the animation is so underwhelming compared to the manga especially in the last few episodes.
when the guy saids he trade off his balls for infinite bullet i lost it and stop watching the anime
I’m glad you took your time cooking this 5 star vid
tldr: thanks for the swag
i saw Eighty-Six: 86 in 13:36 so you're getting a like just for that
Same
So, like, the questions. What’s stopping someone from putting in the question “Are you [their name] born on [their birthday]?”
Since the answer with the majority of responses die, there’s a very real chance that that would instantly end the game for everyone other than the people with Rights to avoid it
3:16 song name?
It’s the ending song of the anime, I think it’s called “Game Over”
@@bathtubmermaid6215 thanks
The problem with this death game is that the author had a cool idea, but didn't have a clue to execute that idea in a coherent way. They just wanted to make "cool" moments without understanding how a moment _becomes_ cool.
I watched only one episode and almost immediately dropped the anime.i dont know but the anime didn't click with me
That symbol reminds me of the reclaimer symbol from Bungie's Halo and Marathon. 😅
Dude I'm only two videos in and this is the funniest anime review RUclips channel I've ever seen. Please keep up the good work!
The story actually sounds interesting but if this is 10episodes i think i understand your point.
I don't know why, but the "oh no a floating PNG" really cracked me up
Full agree. Talked about it on my tier list, but man was this a huge disappointment.
Brother needs to make part 2 ASAP. Stuff funny as heck.
12:18 “What are we, some type of suicide squad?”
For me, Failure Frame is the most disgusting revenge isekai anime I've ever watched it in 2024, but the best mecha anime I've ever watched it in 2024 was Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms.
17:49 Fiturrrreeeed!
I'm gonna use my willpower to never watch Tasuketsu
Feels good, I think.
im impressed you got through this dumpsterfire i couldn't even follow my 3 episode rule
Why is anime so trash nowadays, two seasons with just garbage on. An isekai with obese people, this tasuketsu, copy paste fantasy animes, etc.
0:19-No, I'm sorry I need more context for this statement
Tasuketsu may be the worst anime out of this season, but can we talk about what an absolute disappointment the Uzumaki anime was? 🤦♂️😮💨
lunar is never chosen to take the picture for a group photo
The villain's lair could be anywhere
The villain's lair : 10:17
Rick and Morty the anime exists and bro goes after the forgettable 7/10 XP
2 frames transitioning with opacity is how we got through the 90's.
the middle aged men in third world country joke got me 🤣🤣
Virginia is the stand out character of this anime season
your videos are actually golden, actually funny throughout the video. The last joke at the end actually got me in tears.
keep making videos
🎉"I'm Sorry-etsu" I CAN'T 😭
I just wonder one thing:
"Is it worse than Ex-Arm?"
No. Ex-arm always worse
Okay, not far into the video but I’ve gotta check out the anime made specifically for Jamaican men after this🤣🤣wtf
Why this anime felt oddly boring? Just like Ousama Game it's just dreadful..
Thanks so much for saving me from this anime u deserve way more recognition for your hard work
I watched the entire video and I still don't know what this anime even about
Has there been any good death game animes lately?
Deatte 5 biyu the battle also came out kinda recently but the animation was so bad that the story was the only thing carrying it(read the manga, its actually rather good)
@@zaratastari2457alice in wonderland was my first and only foray into such a genre, man that thing messed with my head for quite a while
@@farisanwari777 It really does a good job of forcing the players to fight for their lives. There's also smart solutions if ot weren't for the illusion of impeding death by the time a new game starts.
that anime makes ousama game downright competent, even good, i totally enjoyed the hell out of ousama game and the sequel so who am i to talk?
The president survived because he was voiced by Daisuke Ono, Jotaro Kujo himself.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I am feeling like I want to watch some trashy anime, just so I can laugh my ass off at how bad it is. And then check all bad reviews while crying even more. I just need the time now...
>An anime made for Jamaican men
What I find hilarious about this joke is I'm a chubby chaser... But I'm an Asian-American woman. XD
Bro, this anime is trying so hard to compete with PNG Lock 💀💀💀💀
if you want to see this concept done in an actually interesting way, go read liar game! one of the games is called "minority rule", which is basically the concept of "yes or no question where if you answer in the majority, you lose" except the penalty for losing is not dying but going 100 million yen into debt, which imo actually makes it WAY more interesting by allowing for plans in which you expect to lose but still manage to make a profit. it's not the whole manga, just one arc, but i'd really recommend it for anyone who's interested in games based around bluffing and tricking other players, with clearly defined rules that allow for lots of clever loopholes and plans on top of plans on top of plans. no magic, just psychology!
Better animation than blue lock
I quit this show after the trainwreck that was the first episode and felt deeply confused about anyone that even bothered to continue the series 😂
Some day I wanna go back and polish some of these ideas.
there is so much happening and nothing at the same time lmao
Hey lunar equinox could you talk about bungo stray dogs anime since i haven't seen any video on it. you will like it plus it has mystery elements better than this anime and it's both a talk and action
There’s plenty of vids on it
No I'm talking about his take on it
I watched the whole thing and it was okay. But I mean, I watched all of Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer too, so...
hey aniwave back
