It's a massive tragedy. So much potential and from everything I've seen about him in real life, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. At least, he'll be forever immortalised by this show and the other shows he was in before this.

He was a really good character. Very complex. Will be interesting to see how they approach his character in season two following Chance Perdomo's real life death.

You should probably watch the video before making a comment on it and forming an opinion. Also, weird to say that this show isn't for someone who wants to live in a fantasy world when it's about a little girl playing dress up and using magic to collect cards. BTW I really like this anime and do think it's still worth watching. But you wouldn't know that because you didn't watch the video.

Why would they show Neuman as intimidating when she was clearly trying to Marie to trust her? Neumann wasn't intimidating when she was first introduced in the The Boys, it's when it was revealed in season 2 finale that she was the head popper.

Sam has mental problems from he was a child and the experiments made it worse. I would also argue that his mental state is what made it easy for him to be influenced and side with the super rebelling. Although I think his indoctrination wasn't handled that well and was too quick there was reason. He has experimented on by humans for years and his lost his brother, one can see how a hatred would develop

I agree. Would be interesting if we see Firecracker go all out at one point. But because she hasn't trained. Only ends up making things worse for herself. Or just straight up burns herself alive or something.

I'm with ya there. But I think this show was able to do just enough to keep me engaged.

Feels like a parody. I think it's been confirmed that The Doctor cried in every episode bar one. Which was 73 yards. The episode he essentially had a cameo in.

@@liamnidas Bloody hell it was that much? I have no issue with it in small doses but it makes him seem very weak the amount he does it.

It may be wishful thinking but I would love it if Golden Boy returned from the dead. He was my favourite character.

Definitely recommend this show. Not as strong or memorable as The Boys is. But still a great watch.

Target demographic and audience is different. Personal young adult struggles with self harm, interpersonal relationships and melodrama. It was different but succeeded in its vision. A college spin off aimed at a college audience with college appropriate themes.

@@chewy_bucca that is something that I do feel like I failed to mention in my comment. It had those Degrassi Vibes at times, but it was very much intentional. This was definitely the Degrassi of the boys, and I loved most of the drama but not Sam and Emma.

@@zakaryrichmond396 Funnily, Sam and Emma was one of my favourite parts of Gen V but I do get what you mean. The Boys works because it's very unique. Usually, you compare other shows to The Boys not the Boys to other shows. But Gen V doesn't have as distinct a feeling, and I think that feeling of similarity to other shows can get in the way for some people who just want more of The Boys.

@@liamnidas this to me very much felt like it started as "let's do a satire of shows like Degrassi and euphoria but with super powered kids" but at certain points it feels like the satire grew thin and they are less making satire of the format and instead just following the format. It especially feels like this in those first 3 episodes but then it just feels like a normal show with the degrassi scenes sprinkled in.

I've just got to ep 6 and I'm still a bit confused. It took till ep 4 or 5 to reveal that the female version can expel energy blasts. They're bullet proof as a male, but are they bullet proof as a female? I've just kinda guessed with what they've presented that they're invulnerable as a male and the energy thing as a female. But it's definitely not clearly defined or explained so far.

@@drewk3259 Thanks for replying. Can I assume you missed out the entire fight scene with Golden Boy in the very first episode where Jordan constantly swapped between the two? Sorry if this comes off as sarcastic but I’m not sure how else to word it.

@@Delilah-zd3em what about that fight explained or defined their powers? Did the female version get injured, showing that she was vulnerable? Just because the male version didn't throw energy, doesn't mean he's not capable. And is that the extent of it? Invulnerable when male, energy blasts when female? You can assume a bit from that fight, but you know what they say about assumptions. And that was this guys and my point. Not that they haven't shown some of their powers. Just that their powers aren't clearly defined. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Just that I was a bit confused on what they're capable of.

@@drewk3259 The fight demonstrated to us what powers both versions of Jordan have. One is invincibility (to what extent needs to be explored) and the other has energy blasts.

@@Delilah-zd3em no superior strength or speed? Enhanced reflexes? Natural fighting ability or were they taught? Do they need to tank hits as a male to shoot energy as a female or can they just shoot energy constantly? Is the energy kinetic or psychic force or something else? As far as I've seen, the male version at least has super strength. So you're saying you're not confused at all, but literally just boiled the male power down to invulnerability. Sounds like you may not be as 100% on their powers as you think they are.

Gen v was Lowkey way better than the boys s3 and s4. It’s way more consistent and the characters were actually more likeable.

@@Bestintheinternetno way you said the Gen V has a likeable cast. Well written sure, no way in hell are they more likeable since most of them are complete and utter jerks, with the exception of Emma and goldenboy

I do think The Boys is leagues ahead of Gen v. but the again, it also has four seasons going up against one for Gen V.

@@silentclaw6439 Agree on the characters. And yeah, Golden Boy and Emma were my favourites in Gen V. But some of the characters in The Boys rank amongst the most iconic characters in television.

I just don't feel like Fifteen would be able to intimidate anyone. Maybe he could if the writers gave the actor the opportunity to show that. But right now, I feel like Fifteen would just fold and run away at the first sight of any danger.

The Boys is a show where a group of boys all come together to form a group called the boys. There is one woman in the group so she's the female boy of the boys. The boys then work together to take down this other group of mostly boys: The Seven. There are five boys in that group, originally six. But Lamplighter had to leave the Boys. But not the good Boys group. The bad Boys group. And then for the next four seasons of the Boys, the boys try and kill all the bad supers in the bad the boys group. Now, more happens in the boys show but I think you get the gist from my synopsis of the Boys.

I agree it felt like they tried to mash the boys with like a teenage romance thing and they couldn’t really do it right

I think my issue with the Doctor killing isn't necessarily that he kills, but his reaction to it. Like in the finale he says to Sutekh that he won because he forced him to kill but other times he kills without a second thought. Then in Human Nature he can't even bring himself to kill the scarecrows. I don't mind if the Doctor kills as long as it has some sort of impact on him. But then again, each Doctor is different so maybe some incarnations don't mind killing and some do.

@liamnidas you can interpret as trauma from the time war, but like I said: classic doctors killed a lot. They only got sad when he was active trying to show a better way and the enemy didn't listen.
