I mean. This is one of the few instances where it being underrated is understandable. It's a mystery story that's extremely dialogue heavy.
The fact it found an audience at all with the direction entertainment is going is amazing.

Also considering its first season is quite weak too, it really is great that it found an audience. Hopefully that audience is big enough for a season 3.

I love mystery shows like this. This sounds really cool! I hope it's better than Undead Murder Farce, which was just bland to me.
Thanks for being straight that the second season is better. I tend to drop shows quickly if i'm not enjoying them, if I don't have something to look forward to, or if I don't think it will improve.

Yeah, I didn't love Undead Girl Murder Farce either, but I do think that anime got better as it went on. Around the ending of the Sherlock Holmes arc (I don't know the actual name of that story) there was a genuinely cool reveal in my opinion. It might have helped that the story was set in England too for that arc, idk.
The first season is really dragged out but the second is a lot more enjoyable. Fortunately, Kotoko is a great character throughout the entire show and you can tell that even in the first season.
