Dorian inadvertently influenced body building in so many ways - the militaristic posing routine with foot stomps, the mass monster package, the gritty, realistic photo shoots, the extremely methodical lifestyle

I had the privilege of meeting Dorian back in the early 90s at that time it was his physicality that mesmerized me but now it's his spirituality that really holds your attention. Love this channel.

Unbelievable guest to get on! The GOAT of bodybuilding how he doesn't have a statue in Birmingham is beyond me.

One of my few regrets in life, is not saying something to Dorian Yates when i was touristing at Gold's Gym Venice. I was totally into the preacher cablecurl machine, and felt someones presence, i finished my set, i turn my head and behind, on a bench sat Dorian Yates... I was shy at the time, more introvert than now, so i didn't say hi or anything. I whish i could take the moment back, and say something. 😀
Take a trip out to Marbella, he’s always hanging about out there - he runs a gym and is there most days. He’s an absolute legend, ran into him on the beach one day and he was dead on, grabbed a picture and had a chat with him for a while. Pleasure to meet him

the podcast with Dorian on JRE is what got me into fitness and bodybuilding. Listening to him speak was phenomenal. He completely changed my outlook, changed my life, and I'll probably never get to meet him, but I'll be forever grateful to him.

Yep people dont understand the single most important thing in bodybuilding GENETICS. You only go as far as your genetics take you. Most people who take gear look natty.

He's extremely humble and genuine. No pretenses at all. He acknowledges the hard work he's had to do but does so with a grounded attitude.
The response to "how would you like to be remembered?" was so fitting. When Dorian responded with like Frank Sinatra, did it my way, my mind immediately cut to when Brian said it on an old podcast. Must have been great to meet your role model and have them think in a similar way to you

This is amazing. The fact that the Brian Rose topic came up makes me so happy. When I saw the documentary about Dorian in Spain, I instantly realised it was all about BRIAN. He’s used Dorian and is completely in love with himself. Great to see Dorian speak about it.

Love listening to Dorian. You initially watch to get knowledge of bodybuilding but when you finish listening you always take away so much more that you can apply to everyday life. Dorian Yates Bodybuilding/life couch!! Legend!!

Seeing this for the first time today. Absolutely love it!!! Dorian was an inspiration to me in the early 90's when I started bodybuilding. A truly genuine human being. Such a legend.

I wouldn't just argue for that, nor would I rule it completely out either - I think that it would be fair to say that cannabis has a lot more health benefits than we are led to believe. Such research is of no interest to pharmaceutical companies at this time though as you can grow it under your stairs.

I really like Dorian Yates. We would not agree on everything, but he's a great guy, enlightened, using his brain, but he's not shuffling his ideas down your throat. You can believe what he says or not, it's up to you. He's just telling it like he sees it.

I admire Dorian’s dimeanor. He’s the personification of confident but not cocky. There’s no arrogance in his certainty. It’s all driven by what he knows as fact, and that’s through his trial and error. He knows because he’s done it. It’s borderline wisdom but, mixed with this anylitcally driven outlook on life and it’s tribulations.
Dorian = Legend. Listening to him talk about Covid, the guy is on the ball.
It doesn't matter what podcast, platform Dorian is on I could listen to him all day, I've heard his story more than once but you can not stop listening, the guy is amazing. The fact that he mopped the floor with in my opinion the best era in bodybuilding ever is unreal.
Always love listening to Dorian and how honest he is need more of it in the fitness industry .

I’ve watched all the podcasts because of you Dorian Yates. ( I learned how to train from your training video when I was a teenager and didn’t really know what I was doing or how to train ). I followed you Heavy Duty style and it worked for me very well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I remember watching Dorian on London real when I was about 20-21 and was learning about everything going on, the conscious shift in some people and to be honest for some reason at the time in thought he was jumping on a bandwagon, but now I'm more awake, he's genuinely an inspiration and one of the most worthwhile people to listen to.

I seen dorian approx 19 years ago in Heathrow Airport I sat next to him not knowing who he was. Just a big massive dude! I was in Heathrow flying home to Scotland while serving in the Royal Navy

This guy (Dorian) is a breath of fresh air. I'm not into bodybuilding but i'll always be into people who keep it real and tell it as it is warts and all.
A guy isolated in U.K. troubled teen , no college, becomes #1 in the world! Also transformed training methods. Genius pure and simple probably the most honest and well spoken. Ty Champ!
Never been into body building and only currently like an hour an half in and it’s really interesting hearing about how it steered his path a different direction. From a young kid getting into trouble. Resonates with me being from up the north east. It’s like your something or your nothing there’s not really an in between. Really motivational as well the calmness that he speaks with.

I vividly remember having the Flex magazines and seeing that black & white photoshoot with Dorian (in his socks). He is a genetic god and a workout monster. Hugely inteligent and an great motivation to be the best (or even just to be better). Especially with him being British as well. I also remember watching the LondonReal with Dorian and always wondered why they never continued. Now I know why. Your series goes from strength to strength and gets better and better. Thank you to you all and everyone involved in making these. Truly amazing, inspirational and thought provoking. Thank you.

This was an awesome podcast! Dorian has some layers and was a really interesting guest.
It is my very first time watching this podcast with you guys and I most say that the host (The big man) is kind of cool to see how he legitimately seems like he is in such an awe and admiration because one of his biggest idols is right across the table. I’m only at the @24:49 at this point and so far so good.
When I was a kid I saw Dorian at an airport in 1994, Dorian walked past and my Dad nudged me and said "That's Dorian Yates" I had no idea a human being could be that big before then.
Huge doesn't even describe it, Brian's statement about Dorian walking in and five minutes later his back did is absolutely correct, he was just big, wide and broad.

How many young teenagers did Dorian Yates influence from the 90’s onwards. No bodybuilder has had an impact on me more than Dorian. Not even Arnold. Whenever he spoke it was always logic and when I followed his principles is when I began to grow

What Dorian Yates shared about they show you what they're going to do in TV and movies and they think we're so stupid is so true. Dorian seems like a very intelligent man who does his homework.
Really enjoyed this. Great to let Dorian talk about things he might not get to most days with the physcadelics etc, and how Brian was willing to listen and understand him depsite never experiencing it

I'm not a huge fan of podcasts, but I have to say this is the *greatest* podcast I have listened to. Top notch stuff! I knew Dorian was intelligent but man, near the end, he really gets into it. Total respect, a lot of people don't know that stuff.
