I know I deadlifted 455lbs when I was 170 pounds and I don't see anyone at my local gym lifting that even still. That's probably accurate since 455 is a touch over 200kg..
I love seeing a man like Eddie Hall speaking so honestly about depression. There shouldn't be a stigma anymore that you have to be soft to have depressing thoughts. In my experience some of the strongest people I know have had depression, they've usually faced a lot in either life or mentally. Eddie is a true hero, what a genuine man! Loved this podcast Geordie!

what i love about Eddie is yes he knows hes the best but his underlying empathy that he doesn't in no way look down on your average joe in the street or believe hes some kind of great but hes see's other strongmen as his competitors and he know in that field he is the best. i have no doubt he would open the door for a old lady or man and would show total respect for any decent folk in the street. yes he puts the tough guy image on but thats all part and parcel of his persona he is a Stoke lad through and through, working class to the core and thats why i love this bloke so much. well done Eddie!!!!
I think Eddie has quite the Ego but he tries to keep it check. He does have a good reason to have that Ego but I think most people that achieve greatness like him need that kind of mentality.
Now that eddie's finally achieved his goal and retired from WSM i really hope that he decides to start getting leaner because I want Eddie around for the next 40 years
Eddie Hall could be the most motivated, dedicated athlete in the world. I can't think of any other athlete who goes to the extreme measures to achieve their goals that Eddie does. Such an underrated athlete. Think him and Geordie have a bromance too, they're so similar to each other in terms of personality and mindset
True Geordie channels does a number of favours for everyone that comes on this show. It's clear that Eddie is blowing off some steam here and it's nice to be on home turf relating to people who just wants to know what's going on in their lives. Absolutely fantastic!
Eddie hall is a true role model, a down to earth guy with the courage to talk about his feelings and things close to him. But an absolute beast that's destroys anyone and anything that gets in the way of his dreams! Proper respect. Great interview guys 👍
Personally, I wouldn't want to see Strongman Live on TV. But I would LOVE to see it Live in this country (UK). It should be almost like a weekend festival so in between the events, people have other stuff to do and the athletes get their adequate rest. It should be like the Arnold Classic but strictly Strongman and with an outdoor presence. Hell, people should even be able to camp like they do at the Goodwood Festival. Much as I loved being there for Europe's Strongest Man the year Eddie pulled the 500, being indoors didn't quite feel right and having it condensed into a few hours wasn't enough of an event. I've followed and loved Strongman since I was a teenager and have loads of ideas on this (WSM organisation, call me...Lol). The only real problem with doing it in the UK is guaranteeing good weather of course, even in the summer
