Well what about the people who pay that extra Disney pass ??!
They can get into a special line for rides.
What about valet parking??? Get rid of that ?
What about their Casinos - their tier card programs- special treatment for lines , rooms.

None of those things are federal security programs.

I'm sorry I just have to say this is stupid. I don't use any of these kind of quick pass scam. But hey if you want to waste your own money on it then by all means let people spend there money on it. Ca have bigger stuff to worry about then this.

The difference between tsa pre and clear is you skip the tsa regular line whereas tsa pre has their own line.

So explain to me why CLEAR is any different than TSA Pre-Check as both are pay services that skip the line and then merge back into the scanning lanes?

Try Long Beach Airport, clear is a longer wait most of the time.

If this is an equity problem then ban FasTrak tolls on the California highways. Same exact justification with tolls on highways popping up all over the state. Ooops, that would mean California would lose taxes funding can't have that.

Good. No one should be able to pay a private company to skip the TSA security line.

      You don’t “Skip” the line.
You go through an expedited screening process which is either scanning you eyes or fingerprints and your boarding pass/credentials. Once you are finished with the Expedited screening, you are escorted to the line to have your bags scanned and walk through the x-Ray/body scanner just like every passenger. It makes total sense. And, because you’re paying your fee each year, in return, the company, airlines, and the company (Clear) get your personal data. So there is a personal cost beyond the $189 annual fee. If you want expedited service for anything, it will cost more. This happens everywhere and for everything we buy, both goods and services, from your cell service (AT&T throttles down data speeds for lower tiered accounts, Amazon charges more for expedited shipping, concert venues charge more for better seats, RUclips has ad-free membership called RUclips premium for $20 a month, Netflix has ad-free plans, etc.) . And one commenter here makes a great point about highway express lanes!!!! Not everything has to be equal and fair. And I am probably the most liberal and progressive person when it comes to “policy” but I just don’t agree with this bill proposal at all !
