  • The Rome Katana Snowboard Bindings - Selected for the Whitelines 100 Snowboard Awards
    Named after a Japanese samurai sword, the Rome Katana delivers more crowd-pleasing slashes than Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction. It’s the most premium freestyle-oriented binder in the Rome line, pairing the latest technology with a fit that’s made for surfy turns and boned out tricks. As a product it was near flawless already, but they’ve made a couple of minor tweaks to keep this perennial test team favourite firmly at the top of the pack.

    I had the opportunity to try the new Now Select Pro a couple of days, but now I am undecided after watching this video after a friend's recommendation (based on my style). Coming from another galaxy on a super-stiff pair of Nitro Phantoms, I love the forgiving feeling and skate-ish ride of the Now Select Pro. I will appreciate your opinion between this two; Katana Vs Select Pro.

    Can anyone tell me the main differences between the Katana and Bataleon Astro Asymwrap? Is either one more damp than the other?

    Will these bindings mount a burton channel without purchasing a separate disk?

    I got a pair of Katanas last season. I loved them when they worked, but the ankle straps came loose a few too many times when I really needed them, so I had to return them. I might have gotten a lemon, so I’m considering getting new ones this season, but I’m also considering Union Stratas for my type of riding (all mountain / park freestyle).

      @@bukchoiii It should be unnecessary to mod a relatively high end binding, but I'll give it a shot if ever get the same problem again.

      @@IKilledTheDodo I think u did get a lemon because most people are saying that the buckles are some of the most locked in on the market

      @@IKilledTheDodo Sick! I just ordered a pair of katanas myself so I'll see if I get the same problem. I'm coming from burton malavitas and that double take ratchet has served me well for the past 5-6 seasons I've charged on em.

    How does this compare to Bataleon Astros?

    what binding would you go with Between the Rome Katana or the Union Ultra?
    I’d be pairing it up with 23’ super doa ,Burton skeleton key and a spring break slush slasher (not this years camber model) … Thanks for the help…

    • @skyofstorms
      @skyofstorms Год назад

      From what I'm seeing, ultra's a more relaxed fit and a little more surfy and the katana is more for the hard charger and the highback stiffness reflects this, but the katana still has plenty of surf and tweakability. What boot you ride and your style of riding will also affect this.

    The disk is small or big?

    • @OneEightNate
      @OneEightNate Год назад +3

      It's between a mini disk and a full size disk. You can use 4x4 or 4x2 with them, but they're definitely smaller than a full sized disk.

  • @felipe2fp

    Still exposed and no tool-less screws, for its price?
    Nah thanks, I'll stick to the Flux DS, or Now.
