I do have a question regarding shipping.... how do you know how much to charge the customer for their items? Usually a customer will pay for items before you print a shipping label on them based on weight. Do you have a set price? Or are you able to incorporate the weight of the item on a certain platform such as shopify or an inventory platform? I am just trying to understand how to NOT get screwed out of money for shipping. what if you dont have a website ? what if your customers send you their orders and information through instagram, you just want to make a shipping label ? ive seen shipping labels being sold on amazon can i use that and put it on my package and take it to the post office that way?

I know the price is included for the customer but do I have to pay the post office myself when mailing? For example, do i print the label, take to PO, then pay them whatever amount i already configured? If so, how accurate is the amount you configure yourself through shipstation? Will the post office recheck the weight for you? Or do they just take as is and you hope that you didnt undervalue the shipping? Hope that wasnt too confusing thanks again Monika!!
Hi, Maria. You pay for the shipping label through ShipStation. No need to go to the post office. The post office may decide to double check the weight of your packages during transit or pickup and it could be sent back to you if it's overweight or your customer may need to pay for the additional cost in order to receive their package. I would recommend getting a shipping scale and you will be good to go! :)

Anyone know a good alternative to the DYMO LabelWriter 4XL? I was looking into the DYMO LabelWriter Turbo 450. Will it give me the same result as DYMO 4XL?
Lilli Torres I recommend two alternatives that I personally own and love. I have a Rollo Printer and the Brother QL 1100. If I had to do it over, I’d buy only the Brother, but only because it takes up less space. Both are excellent though. Excellent. The Dymo 450; which I also own, doesn’t print 4x6 size labels.
