Can you make a video all about barcodes? How they work, how you print them, options, where on the tag to put it, does it clutter the inventory system when the items sells out?, etc.
There are a few videos I have planned next, but I can add it to the list! I do talk about barcodes briefly in my "How to Keep Track of Your Inventory" video. But to help answer your question, Shopify has an app called, "Retail Barcode Labels" that you can download on your website and be able to print labels from there! I use the Dymo label Writer for printing (link is in the description). Hope this helps! :)

Makes sense, it doesn’t feel... Unique and your “Own.” Personal touch if it has someone else’s company name on it.
you can’t just go around buying wholesale tho, you gotta have a permit

Hi everyone! I have a really big tip! I’ve started my own boutique last year and I’ve used this Company in Los Angeles. They’re called Zenda Services. I owe them a lot! They do everything for you. They ship, remove and place of new garment labels. So profesional. Thanks to them I’m opening up my 2nd boutique. Hope it helps everyone.

Thank you for this video so informative. For the people saying once you buy it it’s yours think about it you bought six Burberry shirts you cannot put yo our own company labeling on it it’s called infringement.Duh

If it's not trademarked/patented, then you are legally able to do so. Most vendors in LA allow private labeling. Branding is so so important and it looks much more professional business wise vs having a boutique with lots of other people's labels. Fashion nova manufactures their own clothing but they ALSO private label. We shop from the same store 🤣

Yes you’re definitely allowed to remove the tag yourself without permission from the vendor

Z. Stephenson no shein is not a whole seller. But if you order from a whole seller you can remove the tags (not label) and add your own. A lot of people even just add their own without removing anything.

Well how I know whole sale. Theirs different ways vendors work. Some do private labeling other may only do their brand on it, etc.
If your plan is to create a brand, yes absolutely! She fails to inform people that if you don’t do private labeling anyone can go to her vendors and copy every item she sells.
What if the product doesn't have a tag or label can you then add your own? I've noticed most of the clothes I've bought from China the dresses did not have any labels on it not even how to wash them.

How do you work directly with the manufacture? I have a boutique and I want to create my own designs but I don’t want to sew them myself. I’m also comfortable with taking pieces of clothing with the owners consent and putting my logo on them. Most people buy into the brand so they want to see it all over clothing.

I believe that if you bought the item for retail, then it is officially yours. It’s like saying you buy a book bag and you’re not allowed to monogram your name on it, because it’s yours, but everyone’s opinion is different

How do you make your barcodes? I want to make size tags and "product names" to go on the tags. And maybe add the price so it looks more put together. I was just going to make hang tags with my logo on front and blank white on the back.

How would you package wholesale jewelry that comes in it's own branded packaging from the maker (these makers also sell their own products on their own websites)? Do I just leave it packaged as is and just insert my boutique business card/thank you insert? Do I repackage? I will be showcasing a lot of different brands and don't want to false advertise that they are my creations, but I also don't know how to brand my boutique when sending the item to customers! Hope that makes sense!

Julianna Paige yes most wholesale manufacturers allow you to remove their labels also some will actually allow you to send them your labels and tags and they will do it for you! I have a business boutique llc

Margins is pretty much the difference of the cost of goods and how much you are selling it for. It’s the profit you make. For example you buy a shirt for $7 and sell it for $24. Your margin is $17

I don’t get it???? Why not just develop your own fashion brand and order merchandise straight from a vendor and ship them your label and tell them to sew it in or do some product development and create your own designs why pay someone to rip a label off a garment and sew in a new label ??????
