Now onto Volume 2, where you can expect: • Rich white pixie-handed racist trying to avoid being racist • The magical power of F R I E N D S H I P • A sunny summer child and his seasoned fellowship • A death that matters • Kitty brooding • One man’s quest to snort all the Dust • A unhealthy dose of Mercury paired with a shiny Emerald and Cinderblocks • Racism against bunnies and Australians • Savage beatdowns • A Penny for your thoughts • The highway or the high way • The Corner Club at Prom • Woody Ironson • Joel Heyman • Pronouns • Budzweiser • The subway system • Remnant Chainsaw Massacre • Grimm tidings And to top it all off, a Phoenix who has to write the whole thing 4 times to make it work.
It took me until now to realise that Cinder didnt even have a face reveal I love how Torchwick is the main mastermind of all the crimes going on in season 1. Hopefully you dont kill him off, I always wished that they just let him thrive and fade out of the story (at least for several seasons, minimum) after Vale goes to hell. And oh my god CFVY, they singlehandedly adds so much structure and plot by simply existing
I'm glad you enjoyed the season! I hope you stick with us, the next four volumes go on QUITE a ride and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! Thanks for commenting, have a happy New Year! :D
Honestly the biggest issue I have with this edit is that we don’t get the fucking amazing shot of Sun and his Gun-chucks vs Torchwick. Like honestly it’s still my favorite fight in the entire show. Just that 10-15 seconds of Sakuga is just, perfect.
I love how Roman starts out as a regular "criminal mastermind" with his own plans and motives before being effectively strong-armed by Cinder (similar to what she did with Adam) in this version. Also, love Roman's dynamic with Neo. Overall, Roman feels far more three dimensional in this version, and this all serves to offer greater contextualization for Roman's pre-death monologue to Ruby about how "you can't stop them! I can't stop them! you know the old saying, if you can't beat them, join them".
I'm not sure you can call this project Fixing since it is far beyond what RT could create back then, for the budget it would require but also because most of those plot points didn't exist in the first place. Your story could be exclusively a remake. A good one I must say.
You know I had my doubts about cutting your Rwby rewrites into smaller chunks but I have to say I'm liking the the length as they make for perfect work out videos as they keep me entertained for just long enough to set my sessions to. So thanks your magnificent Irish vulture.
I love this climax. Just about when the Team seemed to be falling apart, they managed to find a new understanding for each other and started a new bond. Just in time to fight as a Team. Beautiful set up and pay off.
I do like how in this Roman was his own boss till Cinder and the real White Fang showed up at the end, also nice touch with Yang and Blake's story arc though I'm not sure about Blake and Jaune messing with another student's transcripts even if it was Cardin. I've might just had Blake follow Cardin around, catching all his bullying on video with her scroll or something. Still don't why they didn't just tell on him to one of the teachers or Ozpin.
I love this rewrite so much! It makes everything work out so much better, honestly. Still makes Yang my favorite, pretty much. Still hoping we get Sun, the guy is great, but at least we'll see him later. Gives much more relevance to CFVY, too, I really wanted to know more about them.
I love your ending to the season, it was a way more satisfying conclusion to the season than the original version. We got to see an epic climactic showdown between Torchwick and Neo with team RWBY, and it was a great way of showing that their team is finally united.
I know I’m super late to the party here, but I have to say that I love this remake of RWBY. Using CFVY is probably one of your best changes to the canon because it gives them purpose for actually being in the show at all. The short episodic format is great and the 1 on 1 talks does so much better at proper characterization and bonding for EVERYONE seen in the show than anything displayed in canon. I especially thought the heart to heart between Pyrrha and Weiss was a nice touch. It paved the way for a considerably more problematic Weiss to finally get her head out of her butt and start to shape up, while simultaneously giving Pyrrha’s backstory more depth and meaning. I always felt RT did Pyrrha dirty with the seemingly cheap characterizing of her. In fact, they had that problem with most of the main cast. And the setup to introduce Cinder as some mysterious big bad near the end was excellent. It did wonders for elevating her entire character into a proper villain, and not at the expense of Roman and Neo’s greatness. This is a much more balanced and compelling story being told using consistent lore mechanics that make way more sense. Beautifully done, sir! 👌🏾
you know, this does a better job of setting up a ship between blake and yang than the episode in season 2. I'm curious how you get to that convo though, given that the info that lead into is now not in the characters' hands. I'd love to see it through, but also understand if you're not keen to pair anyone off. I'm hoping the second season gives a similar treatment for ruby and penny. literally my favorite pairing in the show, but somehow wasn't picked up by many people. possibly cuz they're blinded by weissxruby. Which is pair i like better as friends. Anyway, this comment is a few years late to have any impact, but I need sleep for work in the morning. I just wanted to share some thoughts
As a rabid White Rose shipper, even I get sad at people neglecting Penny as Ruby’s bestie (I occasionally ship Dolts and Bolts for the OT3). I try to spread out the friend interaction throughout the show, I promise!
F>There’s no explanation given as to why Ruby didn’t bring along JNPR aside from maybe Ruby not wanting to be rude and interrupt dinner. I get the fights needs a small amount of people but it could do with a better excuse. F>”Which catches a raised eyebrows from the partners” F>You moved the “I’m Combat Ready” quote to a different scene. What you gain is a reason as to why Ruby and Weiss would allow Penny to tag along. What you lose is an in-character battle cry. In RWBY proper the quote was first used as a joke and then episodes later on as a battle cry. Here it’s only used as an excuse without any follow up. Even if there were a follow up it wouldn’t have the same impact because the quote would solely be used to solve problems instead of being used casually then seriously. F>Neo’s face has been beautifully edited onto some eel-catfish thing, can’t wait for the Mary Poppins edit. Rip the Spreadsheet, to avoid it getting overrun with memes it was only mentioned in Fixing RWBY videos and so it died of underexposure.
The only part I disagree with is removing my favorite character in the whole show. Sun. JK, I fully understand why you chose to cut him, and I heard the part where he's only cut from season one but will still be in the story later. But my heart is still just is so sad to not yet see my favorite sexy ball of energy in this rewrite.
…yeah, that wasn’t quite enough man. Weiss went waaaaaaay too low to be put up to “starting over” by that minuscule work. I’m gonna stick with ya, but I’m starting to be a bit skeptical. All the other characters are great, but Weiss feels like she’s being set up to be a traitor, killed cathartically, thrown out, or otherwise not given a redemption arc. She definitely needed more nuance in her arguments and racism to be kept sympathetic. As she is, unironically: she seems like a Nazi and her team up at the end felt unearned.
Now onto Volume 2, where you can expect:
• Rich white pixie-handed racist trying to avoid being racist
• The magical power of F R I E N D S H I P
• A sunny summer child and his seasoned fellowship
• A death that matters
• Kitty brooding
• One man’s quest to snort all the Dust
• A unhealthy dose of Mercury paired with a shiny Emerald and Cinderblocks
• Racism against bunnies and Australians
• Savage beatdowns
• A Penny for your thoughts
• The highway or the high way
• The Corner Club at Prom
• Woody Ironson
• Joel Heyman
• Pronouns
• Budzweiser
• The subway system
• Remnant Chainsaw Massacre
• Grimm tidings
And to top it all off, a Phoenix who has to write the whole thing 4 times to make it work.

i love how you took the badge and the burden episode and extended it over a season its so much better

It's been SO long since I was THIS invested in RWBY. Props to you and your subscribers for this remake.

thank you for making the protagonists of rwby the actual protagonists

Sun and Blake vs Roman is imo top 3 best scenes in the entire show, and it is heresy that it was taken out.
ya know what i really liked this version of rwby it feels wierd with it being different but it actually makes more sense

Sun my man is gone!! It’s a sad day. He was so fun and I loved his character.
YO! YO! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THIS IS THE STUFF I'M LOOKIN FOR! THIS! IS! GENIUS!
I would watch this version
watched this whole thing. engaging! loving your takes! the drama is great too...

This definitely isn’t a definitive end for the new Weiss plot line at least I hope not. But as long as it keeps steady I have have hi hopes
bro I love this remake
I love the visuals lol
I fell in love
no complaints here all you did was give vol1 substance and direction
