RWBY Volume 3 is arguably the best and worst the show ever offered. Great emotional and character-based highs contrasted with pointless action sequences and cameos. Let's see if we can correct that, why don't we?

The fact that you noted that fox had a reason for not being able to fight is just perfect for me. I adore the guys fighting style and thought it was insane that he wasn't chosen for the fightings in V3. The fact that the guy apparently is the perfect counter against emerald doesn't hurt either.
Oh boy he was even cooler in the CFVY-centered YA novel released recently. Apparently Fox has echolocation for a semblance and can engage in telepathic mind-only conversations with his teammates like Charles Xavier. He can sense the aura fields of other people and has a special earpiece device called ADA with a camera that can analyze his enemy's stats, weapons, abilities etc and tell it to him. He has naturally-enhanced hearing and has gun attachments on his tonfa blades. He's arguably one of the more fascinating characters the show has to offer, up there with the likes of Neo
I love that you used old school summoning rules for the shnee summons.
Summons only tend to come if they A. find the summor worthy of their power B.Summons as as moody as cats and choose to come whenever they want.
I'm very impressed with this, good job.

@@ryancarson6962 Let's crunch some numbers in an effort to make the age gap between Winter and Qrow as small as possible. At the start of the series 17 is established as the typical freshman age and 20 the senior. Let's assume Raven had Yang as soon as possible without it being able to affect her huntsman training, so let's say she got pregnant as soon as she graduated. Qrow is at the youngest 38 when we see him in volume three since you have to factor in the nine months of pregnancy and that the tournament happens in the third semester. Winter's age is vaguely said to be "early 20s", assuming she's as old as possible that'd make her 23 when they fight. When we first see them there's, best case scenario, a gap of 15 years between them. To put that into perspective that's how old Ruby was at the beginning of the series. Considering Qrow likes waitresses it's possible he has a kid as old as Ruby running around somewhere (this is assuming he was able to keep it in his pants as long as Raven). If Qrow were to adopt that child and marry Winter then there'd only be a gap of 8 years between mother and daughter.
The more problematic part of their relationship is the fact that we don't know when they first met. Ironwood and Jacques talk to each other in person at the Schnee Manor so it's entirely possible that Qrow met Winter when she was underage... If that's true and we're supposed to take their fighting as romantic in nature then we're left with two options. Op1: Winter forms a crush on Qrow and he doesn't do the responsible thing of stopping her. Op2: Qrow groomed Winter.
Abe Zevlag Maybe but honestly an age gap doesn’t really matter with two grown adults and it isn’t extremely drastic like say a 40 year age gap. And that’s unlikely since Qrow works for Ozpin, not Ironwood, and he doesn’t live in Atlas, so it’s unlikely that he had ever met Winter when she was actually underaged. And since it’s implied that Qrow has been involved in Ozpin’s group longer than Ironwood it’s unlikely that he had ever been to the Schnee manor since only Ironwood would have any reason to be there and before he had any involvement with Ozpin, Qrow wouldn’t really be with him.
@@ryancarson696240 years is only drastic relative to the age. Let's say a 220 year old and a 260 old decide to date. Is that a drastic age gap? No, but apply that to a 20 year old and a 60 year old and it is. An age gap of 15 years relative to a 23 and 38 year old IS a drastic age gap. It's the same reason 16 and 20 is a drastic age gap but 26 and 30 isn't, it scales based off life experience not whether or not they're both adults or mature.
Just because he works for Ozpin and doesn't live there doesn't mean he didn't go there on a misson with Ironwood. Hell Qrow has onscreen been to three of the four kingdoms and none of his lines when he makes it to Atlas imply it's his first time there. When was it implied Qrow has been in this longer than Ironwood?
Taco Tuesday, though I prefer burritos. Clever addition by targeting every kingdom like this. Vacuo's resentment for being knocked out of the first round entirely, the seeming oppression from Atlas, Vale's violent "reprisals", and Mistral's golden girl being made into a monster.

First off, thank you for the video. It's turning out to be a wonderful rewrite. But that being said oh, I move on to my question.
In the most recent book after the fall, it clearly states that fox is blind. Will it ever be addressed why he never got those artificial eyes like Maria Calavera does from Atlas? I mean if he's pretty much a hunter in training I believe they could waive the fee to give him sight.
Next question , I really enjoyed the tidbit about Flynt coal and neon actually having more apprehensions and animosity towards the SDC and Weiss. I honestly felt like this plot line has been overshadowed because frankly if the dust company is international there should be more people that have problems with it then just Blake. My question now is, will this be further pursued in future? I mean you don't have to directly tell me how if it involves spoilers but I would be happy if you just said to be addressed and future volumes.
Actually Fox was born blind and was trained all his life to fight blind. Suddenly having a pair of eyes would give him a hard time adjusting and impede his natural instincts. What's the need for artificial eyes when you have an echolocation semblance, ADA and naturally enhanced hearing. Plus having artificial eyes would give him the additional burden of going the long trip to Atlas every year to get his eyes checked like Maria did.
Like the video. Now I don’t want to jump the gun just yet, but I do have a question. In you’re version of Remanent, what is the view of Faunus and human relationships? I don’t remember you bringing it up in any of you’re previous episodes, but my curiosity is peaked with how Cardin is reacting to Velvet.
Umm, you said that Team NDGO won last video, so that'd be one Shade Academy team, unless you changed which school they're from.
Also, I forgot to ask this last time, but is Arslan a Faunus in your version, or does Lionheart just have a human spouse tucked away?
SSSN is from Vacuo in this version, he made it a point when he said that team RWBY and the others felt bad for SSSN when Vacuo was knocked out of the tournament.

a scythe might actually fit Ruby, since she seems to perfer distance in fights. Not to mention that Ruby with a fire sword is a very disasterous combo, as she would become a literal rose comet of firey destruction.
Seriously loving the hell out of this outline so far! Your suggestions are fantastic and a video doesn't go by without impressing me multiple times.

In the last Video you had INDG win against SSSN but in this video you make it a plot point that all Vacuo teams were knocked out in the first round, as INDG is from Vacuo thats impossible

Does this mean Cinder didnt already steal half Ambers power? if so than how did Cinder get to be Part Grimm which seems to be an important plot point as it lets the silver eyes effect her.
in the Qrow Winter fight do we still get Winter using Summoning against Qrow? or is that wiped away too to tease it more?
I think in this rewrite, SSSN is from Vacuo and NDGO is from somewhere else (probably Mistral or maybe Atlas).

As for cinder, if you are a member in volume three in her left arm was some kind of grim Beetle or something that was able to steal Amber's power. I want to say that it was probably give it to her by Salem and more likely than not Cinder was already part Grimm at this point. Her whole arm was turned into a Grimm because for some reason just the Grimm being a part of her was able to completely incapacitate her. Unfortunately it's never clearly stated but as we've seen in recent volumes we can pretty much assume that's how it happened.

@@lordsinister707 I think its fare to say that she became Part Grimm at the moment she stole Amber's powers, as upon the Beetle Glove merging into her skin she grew the grimm tatoo on her back signifying that she is part grimm now. It also should be noted that it is up in the air weather her Grimm arm is a result of her simply growing one from some grimm regeneration or is salem simply fused her with a second grimm to do it

ya know having the summons be more sentient rather then just "your not strong enough to summon them" sounds alot more common in anime tropes so i dig it

I really liked RWBY as series for some time, but honestly, now i'm just here for the lore, and to see what the fanbase has to offer on the fanfic/rewrite department. Also, Taco Tuesday.
If it were on me, i would completely change the Maiden succession system, is so stupid and obviously created to let Cinder get the powers.
I agree it would make more sense if the powers just went back to Ozpin. In fact Ozpin should have used the machine to transfer the power into his body instead of Pyrrha.
I'm interested to hear your replacement, you can't leave me hanging now.

7:15 If you'll ever read this comment, only big issue I have with your rewrite is you neglecting that one awesome character moment of Ruby in volume 2 I think, the one where she tells blonde guy how she build her scythe herself and the moment where teachers say it's the strongest weapon.
Aka what I'm saying is that original RWBY FINALLY gave Ruby actual unique and interesting character trait, she's a kid genius able to create awesome weapons, and I REALLY wish you actually made your own version of Ruby actually do some tinkering for the team or other people, it would be amazing to expand on this trait of hers

This isn't something about the video but something I noticed in the real show, so I would like to ask;
Is Faunus discrimination going to be explicitly shown in your version? I either have a terrible memory, because I don't recall it ever really been shown in the actual show. Or I haven't noticed it in this version. I don't know.
Also, these are just comments/questions about the video.
- Imagine the scene with the 3-legged race, I wanna see Ren and Blake crush everyone and everyone struggle. I also think it's amusing to think of the height difference with Ruby and Pyrrha. (Ruby is 5ft 2 and Pyrrha is 6ft)
- What is Penny's relationship with the others? With Pyrhha and Ruby? How would they be affected by the death of Penny? If you plan to do that.
-Is team Indigo still in the tournament?

i almost kinda miss the fact that weiss was bad at fighting. that was one thing they did very well in the original, keeping consistent that she could only summon her kills. and it shows that she's only had 3 real wins, and theyre ones that we see, the knight, the boar, and the wasp.

Huh, I was thinking yo'u swap out Coco with Velvet considering I always felt this fight was too one sided. Other than that this season feels less touched up than the last 2, not in bad way, adding little stuff to make the major seasons more impactful.

So...nitpick here. But you don't have emeralds and Mercury's other two teammates actually shown in this. Which seems off. Wouldn't they know something is up, especially with them talking to a teacher in their dorm all the time? Or are those two also in on it, in which case shouldn't you establish why these people would agree to cause mass destruction and terrorism.
Also...please do not ship Cardin with Velvet. He is mean.
