How to SHAPE any GOLF SHOT - How to hit a DRAW | Hit a Fade | Hit it Straight | Hit it High or Low

  • If you want to learn how to hit a golf ball straight you must first learn how to shape any golf shot. If you learn how to hit a draw and then you learn how to hit a fade you now have two very different FEELINGS.
You can use these feelings as a kind of framework to work within to feel how to hit golf ball straight.
In this golf video you will learn how to hit a draw, a fade, how to hit a golf ball low and high
This skill is a fundamental to learning the game of golf and becoming a more consistent golfer. It is not something you should wait to achieve until you get to a certain standard. If you can't shape the ball both ways it's almost impossible to feel how to hit driver straight or take control of your irons.
You will also see how by improving your FEEL you will naturally strike your irons pure. It simply comes from a greater sense of what the club head is doing.

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On RUclips and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Your ability to hit fade and draws like that is amazing. As a natural slicer I've been practicing the draw after seeing this video. It results in either a straight shot or a baby fade. I'm not sure if that is a bad thing considering that is not right to left but it definitely has helped me on the golf course

This lesson is going to help me tremendously. I've tried to work the ball but couldn't quite achieve what I wanted. Your video has put it all together and now I know where my problem has been. You have made the lesson on shaping it's path very clear. I now feel that I have a good grasp of what I need to do. No one has explained it to me as clearly as you in this lesson. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to golf season just as soon as the snow is gone!

I've been paying special attention to your recent videos on how to turn the hips to create a good arc to hit well. This has always been a challenge. I've been playing seriously now for 2 years and at 62, I thought turning as you taught was going to be difficult. It isn't. I was at the range today for the first time this season and incorporated your teaching in my shots and it worked wonderfully! My hitting just improved big time thanks to your clear teaching Danny! I even managed to hit fades and draws; some of the intentionally as well:) can't wait for my first round of the season.

Danny, you are now my official golf guru. After not playing for almost 15 years, and staring back,, I was shooting in the high 90's (at my best I was an 11 handicapper)-- today, thanks to you, I shot 4 over on the front, something I haven't done in 20 years! I owe 99% of it to you. Thanks for your phenomenal lessons! (FYI, I 'lost it' on the back nine, shooting 14 over, which made it 'bogey golf'... my old back couldn't take it!

I’ve been working on my draw for months. I watched your lesson and immediately went out to the range. Absolutely amazing! The key for me was lining up right (R handed) which I would never dare to do, because -duh- my slice ends up over there AND having confidence that I could shape it to the left. This allowed me to do EXACTLY what you were saying, work the fade and then manage between the two to hit it straight.
Will continue to work on this to get it ingrained! Truly a breakthrough to be able to dial it back and forth which increases the confidence!
Thank you for your energy and your very thoughtful explanations!

Thank You so much for presenting this video! Seems this should be a very early lesson to learn. Many times I struggle with wondering where the heck the ball is going to go. You brilliantly emphasized, "having fun" with practicing. Sometimes it's hard to believe, but that's what it's all about. Never thought I'd see the day that I'd have to think about hitting a fade. Your video lessons, on making a proper turn, have changed my golf shots into mostly draws (and sometimes a little too much draw) which I have tried to accomplish for 40+ years. Have an excellent week. Cheers!

Always a gentleman and a scholar! I was just trying to mess around with this. It is super hard right now, we still have nets up, hard to see what is actually happening and on the course makes it harder to really trust the shot if you don’t know exactly where it’s going to go. Last night on the range I was finally able to get some extra pop in my shot, people around could hear it and got some looks, that was really encouraging. I’m super excited to take this next step and as always love the information and detail.

Hi Danny. I have been following your lessons since October and have never hit the ball so consistently well or enjoyed the game so much as I am now. My game had been going down and my handicap up. This week I shot a 77 (+6), my best round at my home course. THANKS!

I spent so long trying to hit straight balls, used this on the course yesterday,so much easier trying to shape ball flight .my first hole i drew my five iron just left of the green and from there every tee I felt so much more confidence playing the shot shape that the hole lay out demanded. Big thank you 👌

@@DanielMaude complete revaluation.i always tried to adjust my stance before with mixed success, but opening and closing the club face along with the club plane really makes shaping the ball flight far more effective.i just need to get used to fine tuning the amount of fade and draw I want now.took away all the concerns of trying to hit the ball straight at the flag, this allows me to pick a apex for the ball flight and let the ball come back in towards the target.cant wait to get back out at the weekend for a few more rounds to try and zero in more on the technique.and I will have my new custom fitted p790 irons too hopefully help 🤞

Just takes time to get the feel, especially with Driver! :)

This is a timely video, I was in the park the other day with some plastic practice balls doing low/high draw/fade drills. I found that by stepping back with my trail foot and strengthening my grip for draw and back with the lead and weakening for fade seemed to work. However I like this because it's all about feel.
    Cheers Danny!

Thanks for another great vid Danny. I'll defo be giving this ago and happy to report that a few things seemed to have clicked with my ball striking over the last couple of days. I think what did it was me concentration on pulling my left hip back during the downswing and using your 100 and 1 method to try and develop a better rhythm. And I bought a new set of TaylorMade graphite shafted M6's which feel just a bit better to hit than my $200 Dunlop beginners set lol.
