So, for me, one of the first things I do in the morning after waking up is come up with three main goals. usually I set one in health, one for school, and one for this channel. For example, one for my health goal would be to lift today or run a certain number of miles or eat under a certain number of calories. One for school might be to finish all the work for one class, and one for this channel might be to write a new script or reply to all my remaining comments.
At the end of my day I have a one hour chunk of time scheduled to go back through my notebook and review my notes and make any adjustments to my schedule for the next day based on something I may have written down. Dana has some amazing tips to schedule your day and live through it to accomplish the maximum number of awesome things you can each day!

now i know how to be productive, i am inspired, now lemme waste an hour watching more videos about productivity😂😂
pratham arora ikr😂😂😂
Ahaha
Movies
literally what i was thinkin
It's not a waste, it's a long-term investment :D
1.Wake up early
2.Exercise
3.Schedule everything
4.Have a singular focus
5.Take a break(I'm a proffesional here)
Olga Stanojevic i like it. On my channel dedicated to organizing your entire life I always incorporate these tips
Thank you
yes we are proffesional in that area haha i love taking breaks but i know i have to do more thing s.
Do not plan your day in the morning, you will overestimate your power level to be over 9000. It's better to do it in the evening when you are tired, because you have more realistic view of your own strength.
This is an interesting tip, I'll have to test it out
Mateusz Dworak I agree! I find it works best to do my planning for the next day right before bed. It's part of my night time routine.
Practical Psychology and? What do you think🤔
Wait nobdy noticed his " OVER 9000" Joke? Cruel world with no otakus😐
More like plan stuff when you’re “tired”, whether it be in the morning or at night I feel sometimes when I’m tired in the morning I really don’t want to do as many things (depending if I wake up feeling good or not). So yeah I kind of get you, feeling tired can give you a real estimate of how your day went or is going to be.
Got a tip too, stop watching the video and start doing something! Have a good day :D
Nah it's a good video actually
Execution is everything!
There is just something that confuses me, you say we should try to enter flow state and the next thing you talk about is taking breaks, couldn't those breaks break that flow state?
Ya I had a group assignment where we collected ideas and i had lots of ideas and i had pretty good flow overall and also visions about what i need to do and say. Then we took a break and after the break i couldn´t get into that mindset anymore. Group asked me why am i so quiet and stuff but i couldnt think about the assignment and lost my flow completely. Any Tips about that ?
If you enter flow state, you'll completely forget about taking breaks and have a seemingly endless amount of energy, but if you're not in the flow state, you'll need to take breaks to recharge. Depending on how you feel, don't feel guilty to take breaks to recharge. Hope this helps :)
I just want to add the Pomodoro Technique. When working on any given task, turn off everything for 25 minutes and have laser focus on that particular thing that you are working, after those 25 minutes have a 5 minute break. When I first started to implement Pomodoro I was able to finish work in 1 hour that most of the time took 3-4 hours ( because I was checking facebook and youtube all the time )
Anyway I totally resonated with Schedule your day, helped me immensely.
Keep up the good videos I really like them a lot!
The One Thing was a book where the whole idea was basically what you just explained. Thanks for your thoughts! :D
Just watched your video on that book, and as always you did really awesome job reviewing it - it made me want to read it myself. Thanks for that dude! :D
Project Better Self love this video! Keep it up!
Booker eillson
I do 50 min pomodoros with a 10 min brek between them. But when I start to lose concentration during the 50 min, I change it to 25/5 pomodoros till the rest of the day. It works wonderfully.
Who else is watching this when they should be studying??
me
You should make a video on how to stick to a schedule! I always fail to follow it.
+GamingGen thanks for the suggestions!
Practical Psychology you're welcome!
discipline
just don't let yourself get distracted even by the smallest thing such is texting your buddy back.
If you have no friends, you'll never be distracted by having to text your buddies back.
Agree with avoiding distractions. It is so important to set up an environment that will allow you to focus on what you do.
For me, if I schedule my day ahead of time it just puts more pressure and anxiety because the moment something screws up the schedule, I start getting frustrated.
oh yeah.. I kinda get u... but here's something might help u with that. In the very momment you're planning your day, or even ur week (I usually do that on Sunday evenings), being realistic and separate a certain amount of time for the urgences is helpful ... I always plan something around 60% of my time and let the rest for these stuffs that happens on daily basis that screws up our planning. so by doing that .. there's a great chance you'll acomplish your planning ... and when u get more used to that... u may even start planning more of ur time, like 65%, 70% and so on
As everyone already stated bellow, you're videos are essential into my sanity tool kit! Everyone I direct towards your channel gets hooked, please keep this up!
I'm watching this as i procrastinate :0
Alex Majin Ya same.
*cries*
LOL :) True
not that much longer
lol same
I really think that schedule everything is really important but there ir a hint in it, don´t stress out if you aren't on time. Im doing my mayor on industrial engineering and some times when Im doing a homework I take more time that what I would like to. In the past I would be all stressed and would not do the homework right just to be on time; now I just right what I need to do in the day and let me go with the flow. This works so good and I all ways finish my tasks.
PD. I love your videos!!! I'm from Mexico and I think this is a great channel.

Great video!
Watching this while I organize my life, finally!
Thank you for your useful tips. They really helps
I love the 3 main goals idea: that's how I make my daily to-do lists. When you only choose few importang things to focus on achieving, you are motivated & don't feel overwhelmed!
It's even better if the goals are small if you are just starting with productivity!
It's better to start small & end big, it's all about consistency!
1. is sometimes difficult - i feel like more productive later at night
2. do the kettle bell - focus on positive affirmation
3. schedule everything, is a bit of difficulties: other people effect schedule
4. work in process
5. standing up has help a lot, even with energy
great stuff PP - your video's are very well put together
m a regular viewer of your videos and i felt the need to write in this .. meditation is one thing that should be stressed while talking about exercises , because its the best thing that can help the mind and which allows you to Focus on that ONE goal dana talked about :) , Thank you for the video .
A fantastic topic as always

Love this video I just have a few questions
1. What would happen/ what do you do if something beyond your control throws You off schedule?
2. What happens if you don't get your work done in the amount of time you give yourself
Your channel is the best on RUclips!
Excelent tips, I'm going to practice right now!!
Hey! Something that really helps me focus while writing or doing work on the computer is listening to binaural beats. They're really cool because different frequencies can change your mood and activate different parts of the brain. Some people even use them for lucid dreaming. You should check it out. I would love to see a video on this from your perspective.
3 main goals is great, I like doing it the night before; so when I wake up I've already unconsciously prepped for it.
great video, your videos have helped me out a lot in every situation
Thank you✨💫 so much.
I know no one has any reason to trust me, but I must say I started doing all of this already after I asked myself how I could be more productive. These tips works extraordinarily well and you should try it (if you have a need to become more productive)
One thing I do not do, though is the bonus tip. I'll try it.
Thanks for making these video's I am already following quite a few of tips from other video's and I do like watching them.
Dang weren't we just at 10k yesterday? Keep it up prac I'm loving the growth!
+PesterWeaver I aim to inspire :D
Great video, guys. Thanks so much for the tips. Regards from Spain
Good video for early risers, parts of this are counter-productive for people with naturally late circadian rhythms.
Finally!!!!!! excited to see this
***** I did....they're really great....what you think bout this....
8 things you should do, everyday!
1)Read something, anything for at least 10 min - it'll improve cognitive function, expand one's vocabulary and enhance creativity and imagination, and mental capacity
2)Plan and Prepare in advance for the following day
3)Prayer/meditation/reading Quran or holy scripture to enhance spirituality and enlightenment
4)Exercise for at least 30 minutes to an hr daily to maintain overall health and physicality
5)Show appreciation/acknowledgement for someone by doing something kind & nice for them or by just thank them.
6)Go to bed early - proper sleep improves your overall mood and does the body well
7)Learn something new everyday; knowledge is so valuable yet free to acquire and so beneficial! Tip :Learn from the experts though
8)Improve an area of your life; be it private/personal/social/professional/family; it makes you a better person all around, and improves your interactions with others
I came up with this list and narrowed it down after lots of research
Great suggestions! I would recommend though that people be careful about scheduling your days out as suggested by Dana. One of my weaknesses is making lists. I find that I can make lists and plan with the best of them but my follow-through is terrible. So in the end making highly detailed task lists is a waste of time but if I write with broad strokes, maybe just list the major or pressing items I need to do, I am more likely to get them done.
You're damn right. l totally agree with the waking-up early part, but l'm not sure about the rest of your tips.
*watching while doing my research paper
*looks at the title
"I feel like i'm working against myself by working and watching. Ah screw it."
*sees #4
"I knew it."
*turns off phone and starts propery working
*replies, showing that I never actually turned off my phone.
and you still had to write a comment lol
This is good tips, thank you!!

Thanks for the motivation
Hey practical psychology, just wanted to say i am absolutely interested in the software been watching your videos for a while and has inspired me in so many ways and I would love to use the software for my business
Awesome tips! I'm definitely going to implement them tomorrow.
Here's some feedback about the sound in this video, please use sound equalizer or just stick to one person's voice. Your voice was so loud compared to your friend's that every time you switched over my cat freaked out. Even my mom asked why is my phone speaker so loud and told me to skip the ad lol. I had to keep adjusting the volume
Dana's bonus tip is the most meaningful for me. I can relate to him because I am doing it too. I wonder what his note looks like and how does he organize the ideas he jot down. Thank you Practical Psychology for this video. I learned a lot.
Yes... I believe that this is a very useful topic. I think a lot of people don't realize that may great ideas came to their mind but they don't make action because at the end of the day they forget all about it. By taking down notes for yourself make a big contribution for an individual to be more productive, it should be done in a daily basis and must be added to their daily routine.
Thanks Dan... I will be looking forward for that.
its good!!works for me
wow amazing!!!
i love the excercise part
