Does this void a 2018 Civic warranty? Mine only has 16,000 miles on it so far. Also can you put these on a regular Civic? I have a '18 Civic Sedan, EX-T, 6 sp, manual with 1.7L turbo. Or do they make an entirely different intake for these. I understand that it would also be a totally different install because my engine compartment is totally different than on your SI. Also the bottom of the car is totally different.
How much louder does it make the engine noise? I spend a decent amount of time on the highway, does it sound significantly louder in the cabin when holding the same RPMs like you would on the highway?
I notice at 11:35 you left off one of the bolts on the bottom bracket, it also looks like you used the front bolt hole instead of the rear hole. I’ve heard people complain of the intake contacting and rubbing did this move the intake some and prevent rubbing/contact?
The bolt u used to mount the relocation bracket is supposed to go on the bottom of the box to the other bracket to either the frame or the bottom of the plastic. And the bolt u used to mount the bottom bracket the to backside is suppose to be the bolt that goes on the relocation bracket.
@@801Garage can u please explain 11:43 please? U only have 1 bolt in the bracket. I thought there was 2 that go to the frame ....earlier in the video u said there was 2 and 1 had the nut in the back, but the bolt u were holding was the Allen key.
Took me like 30 mins to find where the first bracket was supposed to screw onto had to look up the installation guide to see you Had to peel back the wheel liner to find that spot
Do I need the windshield wiper relocation part that map parts is trying to sell me? It costs 70 dollars extra did you buy that part or did you just buy the 400 dollar exhaust?
So whats the psh psh noise that keeps coming after you press on the gas.? Like im tryna get much information since i may install a aftermarket air intake on my civic..
Paul L I don't doubt it did have 10 hp gains. However you will never feel 10 hp more. Thats not enough of a power gain that you will feel it driving differently. I absolutely love the intake though
You need about a 20hp gain to feel it on the butt dyno. I've used quite a few intakes on the over 75 cars I've owned (I'm 58) NONE gave me any seat of the pants performance increase......I used them for the increase in engine sound and engine bling. An intake will give you only a couple hp increase......if that.
Just bought this and ur video was awesome for this install on my 20 SI I DID get the race version though, what is needed for the tune? (Not very car savvy)
These Civics all have their own personality. My 2018 Si got a check engine light the day after I installed one. It made my car run horribly with multiple misfires so I had to remove it and put the stock box back on, But my 2020 Si runs perfectly with it installed.

Was that an Injen Hydroshield on your filter? I'm tempted to get one for my Cobra CAI, but I'm worried that it will be too restrictive. Reviews on it seems to vary a lot, from not restrictive at all to very restrictive. If that is a hydroshield (or some other pre-filter), what's your feeling on it?
Franky Feliz nothing immediately voids your warranty. The only time your warranty can be denied is if they can prove that the part is what caused what broke
@@801Garage This is not true. Any dealer can say your warranty is void and refuse to fix the problem if they "suspect" what u modified caused the problem. DEALER......"YOU DIDNT HAVE THIS ISSUE UNTIL AFTER U DID THIS MOD RIGHT"?? You might win if you sue the dealer in court but your car also wont be fixed for months!!! It's happened to people I know. So.....it depends on the dealer, some will say you voided your warranty, some will say you're ok. Most dealers will say you're ok if the mod is external like a exhaust, or a CAI......BUT...it also depends what kind of problem you're having.
@@801Garage You didnt listen. It's happened to people I know. Sure you can sue them......and your car will sit for months while you wait for your case to be put together and your court date. Not ALL dealers will try to void your warranty, but some will.

Yes i watched your video and it seems it was not removed. My cobra intake was just installed and i was told my washer windshield needs to be remove and now my car doesnt have it.
It’s actually hard asf to get that tighten down because the plastic part is so pressured that it don’t even allow the top bracket to be put on correctly, if it wasn’t for my ocd of having everything perfect I Would’ve taken some short cuts

Damn idk if my screwdrivers suck but they would not grip the phillips head applied pressure turned and they would fling off. And the map sensor how the fuck did you remove the wire bracket?

No issues with sustained acceleration. It's just while under wot that you will hear it go off

I have it the same way. Both bolts didn't seem to line up so I just used one bolt on one hole and it worked just fine. No issues.

Yes. This intake can be run with no tune. However for best results a tune is always recommended for aftermarket parts

Nope. All the bolts were used correctly. Double checked with prl.

Just make sure you get the street version. The race version will throw all kinds of codes cuz it needs a tune

I recommend tsp stage 1 tune. Let them know you have the race version and they’ll make the tune compatible

That means you got the race version. You need to tune for that one.

You can use this with stock tune. You have to make sure you get the “street” version of the intake though.

it sounds like the boomba blow off valve, my Si doesnt sound like that and its stock.
