I cannot count how many interviews I've seen with this fantastic man. In every one he is genuine, insightful, in good humor and accommodating. And he can pick a bit too, can't he.
WOW!! @19:00 as Tommy commenced playing "Waltzing Matilda" I immediately broke down,, could not catch my breath for quite a few seconds. I wondered WHY? Finally it hit me,, hearing Tommy play that great song reminded me of a time in my life wayyy back,, long ago, the mid 1960's (I was a teen) when I used to scurry to the record store and buy (with lawn mowing money) the latest of Chet Atkins LP's,, scurry back home and with the greatest of anticipation, very carefully que the needle of my Mom's steryo (mono was being replaced with a NEW thing called STERYO) and I heard that tune,, it never left my psyche,, it just never did. Kinda like the first time I heard Telstar on the radio,, I'll never forget those wonderful times as a pre to teen growing up in the 50's and 60's. Thank you Chet and Thank you Tommy. 🙂
I was one of the crazies who watched in cold rain the night before. What a pro! Small crowd, cold, humid. Cold fingers, guitar going out of tune, people hunched under umbrellas in rain suits. No bother to him, he played like he thought 'These are my most dedicated fans - make a great show'. That's a real pro.
Tommy, my magic man with his guitar 🎸 I have two guitar heroes in my 78 yrs on this planet. Mr Chet Atkins and 🎶🎼then came Tommy. God bless you both for giving so much pleasure with your musical talents 🙏
Tommy makes it all look so easy. He and brother Phil inspired me to play guitar after I saw them playing in a travelling country music show as youngsters. I made a living for thirty years until arthritis forced me to quit. I never attained his level of skill and now I make my guitar sound like a tennis racquet. But I live vicariously in the joy he displays playing his music. Thank you mate.
Brilliant guitarist. Just so smooth. Makes it seem too easy. Little wonder Chet liked his playing. "The day the finger pickers took over the world." Great album.
Tommy is a friend - he is such a great human being. I have been a fan friend following him for over 20 years. Richard Smith is a friend also. I am lucky I play a little bit and got involved with the Association of fingerstyle guitarists here in OC California. back in 2000 or so I met Tommy and Richard and many of the other great players. Seen Tommy maybe over 40 times live and hung around with him back stage and green rooms. My heart broke when he told me about Phil and sister Virginia passing away. I pray my friends stay safe. He is like my brother and my wife and I are honored to know such a force of nature the Master Tommy Emmanuel. Also go see Richard Smith what a great guy and player as well. I think Tommy likes me cause I am engineer like his dad. LOL
True delicatessen, the real deal. Tommy always always brings tears of joy to my eyes when he plays. He is simply impossible to imitate or to reach technically with the acoustic guitar, even with the electric he is truly a monster player. However, after years watching him playing or in interviews, it is difficult to think of someone more humble or down to earth. God Bless you Tommy, the earth is a better place to be with you and your guitar around. Much much love !!
This guy Is a maniac with a guitar...son of a gun says it all. Go TE. One day you might do something really unusual and play a slow song. If and when you do l am sure it will be just as good as your regular style.
The greatest acoustic guitarist that we ever seen and heard thank GOD he still playing today so amazing words can't describe Tommy Emmanuel only your ear can
So true,, so true indeed. Tommy's last breath will likely be with his favorite Martin in his hand. We can revel in the knowledge we have been alive in his time. Just as many of Tommys fans were so blessed to have been alive in the time of Meryl Travis in his late years, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Richard Smith and with exception of Nokie who is no longer with us "The Ventures" and Dwayne Eddy. Thank all these wonderful guitarists.
Tommy re-recording old song with 20 years older hands.. idk how I like that. Maybe write something new, slower, more delicate. He’ll have accuracy for another 5 years, should take advantage and write the last original album.
Tommy please get a Gretsch electric guitar. Your playing will sound so much cleaner and better! An acoustic just does not cut the mustard except on blue grass songs. A fan!

Yeah bit of an understatement 😊
Just a bit....

Blown away ….!!
That advice about listening back to yourself playing is 🎯 I hate it 😂 because it's so true! You become your own worst/best critic

It looks very challenging from here.

Tommy Emmanuel & Molly Tuttle will be sharing the bill at Celtic Connections in Glasgow, Scotland on 19th January 2024 🤩
Aye Jawney. Very impressive. Cheers.

He’s such a gent but also depressingly skilful. I will get into even a fraction to this level of playing 😫
He was just the same at his camp. So personable and real.
Tommy fantastic!!!!!
TE always brings happiness on my face.... God bless you man.... Hope I would see you someday in person 🌹🌹❤️❤️
I like the happiness business. And business is good 👍
There's nothing to stop Tommy and his fans!...🤩😍🤩
I closed my eyes and saw Thom right here. I was so blessed to have met him and shared a few Margaritas with him.

As always Tommy Emmanuel leaves us amazed with his wonderful life stories and his mastery. Quintessence of guitar and sympathy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Tommy! The new song sounded really nice! The words "My little girl" came to my mind from the melody :)
He lights up playing electric guitars as well!
Is she really using a 77DX microphone? That's cool.
Oh yeah. Tommy is exceptional as always.

RIP Thom Bresh. Like so many, alleged cancer. 💉💉💉
Ouch!!)
Any one can sound as good Tommy. All it takes is about 100,000 hours of practice. Nothing to it.
Son of a Gun : great picking : sounds like Merle Travis not Keith Urban : NEW CD Tommy Immanuel
👌👍🔥😎👋
and yet I cannot buy a maton in America? Why
