Mourn Watch without a doubt. A good aligned necromancer is such a great protagonist for a game. Especially one who hunts angry spirits, perfect story for me.
First playthrough is easily gonna be a Crow! 🐦⬛ I just love everything about them. Second, probably a Lord of Fortune just for the chaotic pirate vibes. 😂
I'll be an elf Lord of Fortune. In my head canon he is from a Dalish clan and he decided to rebel against his own culture for despising any kind of authority so now he only wants to go into adventures, smash things and gain a lot of money (but deep down he is a sweetheart). He will also love the Shadow Dragons because he hates slavery.
Does anyone else feel that the grey wardens have been made less and less effective since inquisition? Now in veilguard they need help fighting a dragon even though thats part of their whole thing. Maybe its just me.
Wonderful video! I'm definitely playing as a Lord of Fortune for my first playthrough. I just love the idea of being a mage adventurer. I'm still thinking about what faction I'll try for my second playthrough.
First run will be Lords of Fortune! I actually really liked that backstory for a rogue dwarf. Before I saw all the backstories, I wasn't sure which background would be best for my character idea, but now I know! Second run will be Veil Jumpers because elves. xD
I like the way they are doing origins this time around, and it kind of has me hoping that if we were to get any DLC companions, that we could also get new origins as well to suit them.
I'm of two minds right now. I want to play a Dalish veil ranger that is the son of a keeper who's clan has been driven out by the anomalies in the Forrest. He volunteered to join the Veil Jumpers to find a solution. I also wnt to play a Qunari slayer who's parents left the Qun to give him a better life. Now he has joined the Lords of Fortune to rescue them from poverty.
1st playthrough I'll be a Grey Warden.....of course. I've been waiting years to be able to be a Grey Warden again. No way am I skipping past that. I'll probably play as a dwarf and romance Harding as well so that I can experience whatever it it that is happening to "us" (dwarves) since the veil has weakened. I'm also hoping that something is going to cause that lock on the dwarven character model in mage gear to unlock at some point, perhaps like a new game plus? It seems if they were sticking with lore, there wouldn't be a dwarf in mage gear and staff showing at all, just a message saying they aren't available to dwarves. ....a lock suggests that there's a key to unlock it in my opinion. (I may just be a conspiracy theorist though)
Wow, thanks for that. I already know which two I will decide between - Veil Jumpers and Shadow Dragons. Although the Fortune stuff is not so bad either. I wonder if it's possible to be the SD rouge romancing Lucanis.
Definitely Lord of Fortune. Not sure what class but i love pirate/adventurer vibe. And most likely qunari. Shadow dragons seem pretty interesting and grey wardens are a nice choice for those nostalgic for DA:O.
I think my first will probably be a Lord of Fortune, because it just sounds so different from anything else that we've done in the series to date. I also feel really pulled towards doing a Qunari Grey Warden, mostly because previously most things dealing with magic seem to effect Kossith differently so I would hope they would have done something similar, at least lore wise, with Kossith going through the Joining. The least interesting to me seems to be the Shadow Dragons, and I think that's because it feels like that's been built up to be like the "default" faction of the game, since you would have the most prior knowledge of Tevinter and connections within Tevinter.
First playthough is warden as a dwarf warrior. He chooses to dedicate his life to killing dark spawn and using his talents in fighting them as his ancestors did for centuries. Second playthough is easily mourn watch qunari mage
First Rook, Elf Shadow Dragons, Mage. Second Rook Elf Veil-Jumper, Mage. I'm also trying to see if the backstory of Shadow Dragons Rook being adopted into a military family still works with my headcanon of him being a slave earlier in his life 🤔.
It's gonna have to be Grey Warden, elf, warrior, champion. It was always going to be an elf. What cemented it, was what you said about elves being grey wardens, because of their low standing in society.
I'm leaning in on my first playthrough being a Lord of Fortune rogue because they feel like a match for that purple Hawke, "I'm about to be a problem. You're welcome" energy.
Crypt baby Rook is a wild backstory, can't wait to play them 💚
I had a mourn watch rook in mind that was probably going to be a later playthrough but now I'm more interested!
Mourn Watch without a doubt. A good aligned necromancer is such a great protagonist for a game. Especially one who hunts angry spirits, perfect story for me.

Warden all the way
Once a warden, always a warden
Antivan Crow 100% as my first choice :D
Then perhaps a Shadow Dragon/Warden play through
Also just heard that we can choose from 4 voices (+ pitch) just like in Inquisition, I´m soo happy 🥳

They all sound like great backstory that I’m just gonna have to randomize my character in the creation on my first playthrough.
Definitely Shadow Dragon followed by Veil Jumper and Mourn Watch.
Shadow Dragon City Elf.
Watcher, Shadow Dragon and Warden in that order
This helps me get my Rooks up for now thanks, as for fav and least fav, Fav= Veil jumper/ least fav = Morn watch
I heard Araani (probably not spelled right) and got so excited!
Does anyone else feel that the grey wardens have been made less and less effective since inquisition? Now in veilguard they need help fighting a dragon even though thats part of their whole thing. Maybe its just me.
Definitely feel the same way. Not just less effective, but also lost, somewhat clueless and a bit annoying (Inquisition).
First run - Shadow Dragon, second run - Mourn Watch or Antivan Crow. I think the one I vibe with the least are the Lords of Fortune.
Wonderful video!
I'm definitely playing as a Lord of Fortune for my first playthrough. I just love the idea of being a mage adventurer.
I'm still thinking about what faction I'll try for my second playthrough.
Veil Jumper first for the same reasons as you. I have other Rooks planned out too, one for each faction.
Just remembered Cassandra said she was from nevarra
Great video , keep up the great work 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Torn between the Mourn Watch or the Shadow Dragons for my first playthrough! Think it would be an interesting dynamic with Lucanis 🥰
Zevran: "Killing my former brothers-in-arms is oddly satisfying."

Female Rook, Human, Rogue and definitely Grey Warden. I love this order so much.
I will probably do the Tavinter origin and the Wardens first.
First playthrough will be Shadow Dragon. Second will be Lords of Fortune. Maybe?
First playthrough will be antivan crows, but I am also super interested in the Mourn Watch! That will be my second playthrough.

My Rook is going to be a Mourn Watch elf mage romancing the “Mage Killer” Lucanis. Brings me fond memories of romancing Fenris as a mage lol
Bioware dubbing a companion 'mage killer' essentially daring us to make mages to romance him 😅
Definitely Lord of Fortune. Not sure what class but i love pirate/adventurer vibe. And most likely qunari.
Shadow dragons seem pretty interesting and grey wardens are a nice choice for those nostalgic for DA:O.
Mage Rook and LoF ! 🏴☠💰✨
I'm definitely starting as a Shadow Dragon Mage, specializing into a Spellblade - a Mage Assassin to help bring down the Venatori.
I think Mercar is pronounced with a soft c, like Mercer. My first playthrough is going to be a Self-insert Shadow Dragon evoker mage!

My Rook will be a male Mage in the Lords of Fortune (first Rook anyway)
I am stuck between Lord's fortune or gray Wardens
Both so SO fun for a mage or Rogue
First playthough is warden as a dwarf warrior. He chooses to dedicate his life to killing dark spawn and using his talents in fighting them as his ancestors did for centuries.
Second playthough is easily mourn watch qunari mage

I'm going with a Lords of fortune 😆
It's gonna have to be Grey Warden, elf, warrior, champion. It was always going to be an elf. What cemented it, was what you said about elves being grey wardens, because of their low standing in society.
Mourn Watch first then Crow second 😊
I'm torn veil jumper elf, or human in dorian's faction, not sure whichnis first till enter cc lol.
8:00 Sounds like Isabella - DA2
I'm leaning in on my first playthrough being a Lord of Fortune rogue because they feel like a match for that purple Hawke, "I'm about to be a problem. You're welcome" energy.
Shadow Dragons or Crows for me 🤔
I have no idea what I wanna be, I wanna play as a Qunari but I usually always play elf and I’m so TORN 😢
The Venitori.
That is the Faction I wish to join.
Shadow dragons it is
