Bayside Drive 's store also rents kayaks and bikes. Plus the water off the shore of Bayside Drive is shallow for about 40 yards out. And the water is warmer there than the ocean side.
@@indomablelinares6536 They don't allow other 4x4's. The only 4x4's they allow are cars or trucks. No ATV's, side by sides, golf carts, gators, dirt bikes or anything else are allowed.
We just took a car ride there yesterday while our little ones were napping. We didn't get out or anything but we definitely will be heading back come spring/summer. The place looks amazing and we cannot wait!

It's my understanding you can't hunt turkey on Assateague. I think I may have mentioned in the video you can. but it's not correct. It's only the ones listed in the hunt plan.

Best crab cake...there are a lot of good places, but my favorite is Fratelli's in Salisbury. It's only about 20 to 25 minutes away and the crab cakes are amazing!
I’m headed down to camp at the federal park in assateague. Do you know if there is surf fishing allowed near the campground or would I have to drive to another section?
Hoping to make it down a couple times this year- but with gas being 4.50/gal - it may put a damper on heading south- Route 611 to Assateague is my wifes favorite road to travel- on our trips to OC, we get the 7 day pass and go to the National Park all hours of the day- driving around at night is fun and see more ponies, deer and turkeys- I tell my wife we need to have our own RUclips channel and do these types of videos- Keep up the good work- we enjoy watching!

Thanks for the insightful videos. How's the OSV crowd during the week in June. Will be there with family of 4 next week just want to get the timing down to get in without much hassle with two babies in tow. Also do you recommend any good lunch/dinner spots in Berlin?
During the week the crowds are much less. You can always check www.osvcount.com it's a self reporting site that helps to see the count before you go. Lunch/dinner spots....Boxcar On Main is pretty good, Sterling Tavern seems to be a fan favorite (I've never tried it). If you get a chance to go out without the babies, Blacksmith is excellent, but it's a little pricey and not very kid friendly.

The bay is real shallow, it's the perfect spot for kids to play! Come on warm weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI... Veterans can get entrance to the park for free. Still have to pay for camping and other amenities.

Car pass on the federal side is $25 for 7 days, not $25 per day.
What is the fee for crabbing??
No fee as long as you only use dip nets or hand lines.
