No Amaroks - but we’re watching anyway 👍
Yeah there's a reason for that 😅
when's the collaboration of the two best 4wding shows ? 🤣
Amaroks are for site supervisors and not the bush 😅
@@danthewookiechewy9555 waiting on it now hey
@mightycarmods ye bought the wrong car.
Should bring the Jimny, and show that Disco how it's done.
And maybe the Hijet (complete with bucket air intake 🤣). Not sure it'll drive all these tough tracks. But than at least there's one little nugget sounding absolutely mad 😉
Love that you guys have discovered Jeep and Land Rover, definitely a nice change to only Nissans and Toyotas
FACKEN yeah!!! I'm die hard Landy lover
Landrover is goat
I'm living finally seeing a Disco 1 on the channel. Can't wait to see what Jock does with it and how you build it up.
😏 Faaaaacken yeeaah! I've been hardcore Land Rover lover all me life
Disco 1 is so underrated. Love seeing one represented on the channel!
Agreed,own one myself
My dad owned a Range Rover classic when I was a baby. He then sold it and bought a Disco 1 when I was growing up. We took that car in some unreal places up here in Cape York. Would run into so many hateful LC and Patrol owners who'd despise us just for going places they wouldn't dare to in their precious rolling home-loans.
When did this car debut?! Like when was it first shown?
Nvm. I’m dumb. Should have watched more.
No one talking about the 79 breaking down on first obstacle. If it was the Jeep though it would be getting crucified in the comments 😂
Ikr 79's r so over rated and over priced!
@@oldgophers3668😂p
Or it'd if been an ifs rig. Comments would be FULL of people chanting the 'objective, outright' superiority of the sfa

This RUclips Channel is what I was looking for a long time. Different 4x4, mechanic stuffs, amazing technic knowledge and good friendship. That's lovely, I don't need TV anymore 🥰🤩
Thank you ! Keep up the good work !
best episode this year... love to see a little more than toyota/nissan trips. seeing a raptor, gladiator, disco and zuk all in one vid going hard. hell yes.
will be even better when you blokes actually give the zuk some mods.
Lockers for zuk :)
Yessssss... And 31's and a decent lift. Much potential
The raptor and the 79 r probably the worst in the convoy
79 probably. I like the raptor. That's a mean looking rig. Everything has is weaknesses
@oldgophers3668 how can be the raptor is the worst it eat all the challenges that they give to it..
As a first Gen 200tdi Disco owner, the first minutes did hurt my soul. But I am happy there’s finally Land Rover content here!
Absolutely love the Land Rover content
Got a 2005 td5 disco with over 700,000kms on the clock runs like a charm. Only had electrical issues
Lucas electrics, prince of darkness lol
@@outintheboondocks1466Smoke, smoulder and on fire. The only modes of Lucas electrics 😂 (Coming from a Land Rover owner)
Great seeing the old rigs out on the tracks, Disco 1 and 2s are brilliant, I love them.
Disco 1 had open front and rear diffs. No traction contol like all newer vechiles. Twin lock it and see how she goes.
Zook got none of that shit and prehistoric suspension.
@@evoemperor3776 and half the weight.
@evoemperor3776 yep good kit. Uncomfortable but good. Very different vehicles. My 95 V8 D1 was factory rated to tow 4000kg. Cheers
Nothing like a good Rollover I mean landrover
@@AdmissionGaming all wheel drive and the lowest centre of gravity of any 4wd thanks to solid chassis and alluminium body. Cheers
79 series. Most overrated, overpriced tractor ever. There I said it.
Bang for buck, the worst performing rig ever.
If they were 30k less they would be a good buy, imagine the profit Toyota makes on them considering they've barely changed in 30 years
@Jacobtheunwise 💯
Hell yea lol, glad someone else can see it to, had a 79 with a lift, tyres, bar work, full canopy and all the bells and whistles, but I was young and dumb with a lot of money to spend and honestly they are sooooo overrated it’s not funny, compared to my Chev 2500hd with a tray or my mothers ram 1500, with what’s on the market now if you want a big ute I still don’t get why the Land Cruiser is still held in such high regard or a status symbol for so many young blokes especially around where I live that almost go broke trying to buy one just because it’s a “”79 series cruiser”” and yea I have a sticker on the back of the tray of my chev that says “aww cute 79 series you got there” and my 79 that had all the bells and whistles almost costed as much as my chev and even more than my mothers ram and even her 1500 ram is better in my opinion and has a interior that’s not back in the 80s or 90s and far more creature comforts
75 series. Most spine smashing, cheek busting ride u will ever have in a tractor
Im a serious landrover guy, this is best episode you guys have done! Would love to see the big defender 130 you had the other day with this d1. More relatable than the usual 100k+ rigs. Love every episode!
Also, as a small uk channel focusing around a disco I almost wet myself when this popped up! Great video lads! I loved every second of it! Thanks!
Finally a disco!
Jessie at full noise in the zook is absolutely hilarious 🤣 love the Jessie Jocko combo vids. 😂
Finally a new Raptor
I wish they'd get those winch bumpers over here in the states already
Im probably going to get hate for this but you would have done a little better in a disco 2. The traction control would have got you up the first hill (assuming it stays working the whole time😂). Front and rear lockers and your disco 1 will be unstoppable 💪 love the Kandy content
@realguy268 for sure mate. Never had the D2 traction control overheat. I have heard the hill decent control get warm on very long downhill sections when you don't use first low but uphill gold, especially with centre diff locked. Cheers
Love that Jeep. But seriously, it just works. Cheers boys, great ep!
Thanks mate! It's one of our favorite cars too. Absolute monster off road. Maybe we'll put together a build video on all of the mods we've done to it!
Loving the Disco content. The Raptor was a surprise how capable it was. Jesse and Jock are so good together. All about fun. Lovin it!!
As a classic Defender owner (Tdi 300) its goid to see a D1 doing what it does best. Secret to one off-road is to use 1st low locked centre diff and crawl over obstacles. Plotting your line of course is paramount and you'll be fine.
There is an agenda.
Finally a Disco being featured! I’ve got a ‘99 Disco 1, but being Stateside, I have the infamous V8, not a reliable turbo-diesel. Been waiting forever for you guys to get one!
And I thought we put our Disco through the ringer 😂😂 Great work Jocko
My favorite wheeling channel by far. Those tracks are almost as tough as my driveway.. 🤣
While i do miss Graham and Shauno, you kids really are next level. Cheers
🍻
Straight up this is the best content other 4x4 channels are no where near as good,
Been waiting to see a disco 1 on the channel! Cant wait to see what Jock has planned for that beauty. Camel cut, bigger tires and some flex mods maybe? i own a 97. thanking the gods that one of the 4wd 247 guys is a landy guy.
Good to see some other brands being added into the mix
I really liked the Raptor representation. That car is really capable and Dave is obviously a very skilled driver as well - he called it for the jeep and he nailed every single challenge. I know the Ford Raptor is a bit cliche, but it's nice to see how it compares to the other cars. Same with the jeep and landrover content, it's good to see some variety apart from Toyotas and Nissans for a change.
I know the theme of these videos is to thrash the stock zuk and disco to see how much they can take, but I don't really like how the cars are abused for entertainment. It's not a good example of how you should drive your car and if some viewers go out and attempt to drive similar challenges in their stock vehicles (where they realistically do not belong) it's likely result in damage to and closures of tracks. You should do some low cost mods (similar to the pony) and show how that improves the capabilities of the vehicles and how that transforms the driving experience.
Hello from the USA we do alot of rock crawling over here in our jeep. Just a bit of advice that I noticed in the video, on the jeep to make it alot more capable I'd recommend front swaybar disconnect. It'll give you way more articulation.
And make it much less safe/stable on the road or highway. In many of their vids they have to drive large distances to get to their most iconic destinations (1000+ km in some cases) and that jeep is also kitted out for overlanding (with that tray and canopy on the back). If this was a vehicle built for tracks only, then that might be a good idea, but in this case I'd say it's more worth it to keep the sway bar and have a more stable vehicle on the road than the 10-20% increase in articulation you might get out of it. Another thing to consider is that that jeep is a show car and T.C Boxes most likely drive it all over the country to show off at trade shows as well, which means that the majority of the car's life is probably spent on the highway anyways.
Disconnect not delete. It's super common here in North America to disconnect your sway bar for the trail and then reconnect it to get back home. Most kits are just bushings with cotter pins so it's super easy and takes about 10 minutes to install
that’s illegal bro
Well that sucks for you guys
@@eright4208I've got a sway bar disconnect on my Wrangler (base model). It's passed the pits with them on in WA. Like one of the comments said disconnect for off-road use but reconnect them once back on the bitumen. Rubicon spec have electronic sway bar disconnects.
Everytime Jesse asked Jock whats thats noise an jock said its the engine i screamed with laughter ........one of the best you guys did in awhile .....the Ford and Jeep were very impressive
Nice to see a good variety on the show for once. Land Rover, Toyota, Ford, Suzuki, Jeep and a Nissan camera car.
Keep it coming.
Stoked to see the Gladiator on the channel and keeping pace. I've been curious how it would compare. Wasn't disappointed!!
I like after all the ford bashing jock and the channel does seeing a raptor walk all over it 🎉
That Raptor got absolutely sent. There's no other way it was making it up. I give it 2 trips like that before the entire front end leaves the chat.
@@reddog4x4Matt the guy driving the raptor is for sure heavy footed agree that something is bound to give out driving that hard up big rock stepping terrain. guess we will see
@@reddog4x4Matt That 79 had front and rear leave the chat and wasn't even being beat on. Beating the heck out of that raptor and it just took it like a champ.
@@Z287899 yup. 79s are crap
@@Z287899 the 79 was definetly sent, the weight and torque of those soon break things, they are built on a good platform.
I had a Disco just like this. It was the best 4x4 I've ever came across. Even did the Budapest Bamako rally in it there and back (18000kms) it did it whit no issues. 🙂 Loved it!
A Disco 1 V8 is one or the most reliable kit around. Seriously. Simple and very effective offroad.
The zook and the disco are my two favorite off road vehicles. Can’t wait to lift my disco and take it off road a bit. Hopefully I’ll come across a decent zook in the future too. Love this content boys
I love these videos!! Jesse brings me right back to my memories of me with my Sami back home in Barbados. Living in Northern Alberta, Canada, I miss those days!
I bet 50% of the people are coming to the comment section to say shit about the 79, but you got to remember it's a heavy vehicle with all those mods and a shop full of tools 😂😂 a 79 will outlive any jeep or land rover, the jeep and rover are both awful to work on and usually have to lift the whole engine out to access anything 😂
Hi Robbie, l also have the same problem with 7 discs playing up, the advice l can give you is keep walking everyday at least 1/2 hour, lm was on a lot of pain killers and now on lirica 150 mg twice a day they work , they relax the muscles, good luck and think positive.
The raptor impressed me for sure, what size tyres is it running?
Looks like a 35
Jocko Welcome to the club. No doubt you have learnt the secret handshake, the discrete Disco Nod and the wave to other Landies on the road! People see a land rover on the side of the road with the bonnet up and assume that they are broken down, but really this is just a call to other Landie owners to stop and have a chat and a cuppa!
Love this. Got inspired so bought a $4000 Rodeo and got out with a couple of mates. So much fun
I think one thing that make that Ranger Raptor so good is the fact that it’s flat heavy so once it gets those front tires up it kind of just follows
I like what you did there Jesse. Saying Jocko might roll up in a tank and couple videos later he basically does with the big army vehicles.
So many people here for the disco, a lot of people would love to see a disco build as they’re so common on the other side of the pond in the uk, especially with a td5inside remap, a disco series would take over lads 😎
I've been subscribed to you for a while, keep it up!
This is seriously one the most entertaining episodes y'all have done
Gotta say that the Ford and Jeep looked pretty capable. Disco too. Only problem is the maintenance required to keep them going...
Landy power. Keen to see the Ranger in 26 years time...
Not possible unless you look in the tip after 10 years!!
@@robertjohnston3658 You see 79s on the road plenty, if people are willing to keep those things on the road then the raptor will have no problems being a common sight
Stick around, you will see them.
@TimeMariner haha. Cannot imagine it mate. I hope to be be here with my then 50 year old Land Rovers but Ranger...no chance. Cheers
19:00 is good

Such underrated vehicles. We only got the v8 in the states sadly.

That's a clean disco 1 300Tdi. The Tdi are quite rare to find in good shape now days and they're the best version! Pity you caused some panel damage. Hope you get it fixed up.
Finally more land rover content, bring those inglish rigs to those tracks
Greetings from Honduras 🔥
Of course the 79 blows an axle straight away. Toyota reliability...
Loving the better variety of 4bys lately!
Awesomeness.
Love the spread of vehicles. More of these type of uploads please.
GO THE MIGHTY ZOOK!
Constantly getting told LC’s are tough and reliable , and then constantly seeing them snap driveline components. 🤦🏻♂️
Now Clifford needs a few upgrades and the cheap truck challenge would get more interesting! Budget build up and challenges!!! Wicked fun episode as always Jocko and Jesse!
Love seeing videos from my back yard born and raised in coffs and cut my teeth on both bike and in 4x4 on these tracks
To be fair, the D1 cills are probably long gone anyhow. I've replaced them with 4x2 box section on my old one as it can handle the dings. But the biggest thing is too big a tyre and no trim, or as I'm used to, standard tyres and best wheel placement. shouldn't be a real issue on a lot of things.
Oh, those cill covers are just plastic plugged on, they fall off when you look at them.
The zook is light so a benefit, as we always said, the little jimnys ride over the top and the Land Rover's sink in, to ways to get most obsticles done.
Give the tool guy a massive 50 MINUS points for not bringing Axle stands!! Safety first! it keeps you alive.
Also worth noting that the 300tdi D1 manual states the CD player should be removed before performing "arduous off road driving" I hope Jock did this.
I abused my D1 to the hilt, and never broke shafts, there needs to be some driving tuition I think. 😞
Nice to see a couple of different rigs on the trip gents.
Great content 👌
Was just doom scrolling RUclips and this vid came up. Night saved
That kinchrome rig sounds mean.
Not a massive fan of jeep and raptors but wow they can preform well with some mods

What an epic episode 🔥🔥🔥🔥 that raptor given hell in the beginning 😭😭😭😭 and that Kincrome 79 just screams🔥🔥🔥🔥
Keep the LandRover content coming lads!! 🙌🏼 chuck a bit of time, effort and money into that disco then take it back out and see what it can really do 👌🏼
Good old “Morbid Trail”, is the real deal and after a Coffs wet night, it is really tough.
Have driven up and down it about 500 times, when I lived in Coffs, as well as the other tuff tracks like commando, up and down and the rest of the trails.
Not easy stuff!
Jesse looks so much happier on 4wd247 with jocko than he does with Simon and Jase 😂 Jase is a grumpy dawg. Beautiful video lads
The edit showing jock just abusing the Zook was hilarious 😂
The Zook needs 33x10.50r15 MT tyres, etc for this trail and the Disco 1 needs 35x11.50r17 Nitto Trail Grappler MT tyres.
The zook will need a bigger engine or reduced gears for 33s.
@reddog4x4Matt Agreed and a stouter drivetrian.
yeah Jock the problem with the landys is the sills in landrovers hang down you gotta protect them!!! Do you have the landrover bug Jock??? It bit me years ago:)) ?? 👍👍👍
My first off-roader was a discovery. I was always scared I was going to tip over. I’d did have that delicious central locking though so it was super capable. Wish I still had it.
23:53 Jocko: May have to take it easy on the Suzuki. Jesse: Hold my beer....
Way to go guys, can't wait to get back home and watch it on my 60 inc TV

WELL DONE!
There are a few upgrades I would recommend for the Discovery 1 and aftermarket the temperature gauge is needed with the 300 TDI because the factory ones are useless the engine will cook before you get a reading on the temperature gauge and you are going to want to armour the diff pumpkins rocks and the disco pumpkins and rocks do not mix I've got a massive dent in my Discovery 1 diff pumpkin the covers are only sheet metal and you might want to get a skid plate and put on the front of that if you like your steer bar
Whats the wheel and tire combo on the zuk? Like size and all, and does it have spacers? Just wondering, my 86‘ SJ410 doesn’t have that wide of a stance.
I have put my 2015 f250 through hell and back and it has never given me a problem. It would eat that up
