I´m still waiting for an episode between you two with some a selection of kei cars, you know the cars, they know how to offroad, it would be so perfect
I did the Island in 2009 In my Cross8 Crewman, Should have seen the looks I got especially as I had no recovery gear (clueless) Dropped the tyres to 7psi and drove most of the island. I did work out quickly the sand is best first thing or after a bit of rain. The Fantastic knowledge and experience is on display in every episode, Would be great to see Team 24/7 do a Eurobodalla trip. You are officially invited.
You guys make amazing context and watching your Thursday and sometimes tuesday episodes is definitely One of the best parts of the week. Let’s go the 200 is back!
I may be US based but your program has been essential in my weekly viewing! You guys have great content good people on camera and you guys joke around and show the human side to what really happens on the trail no fluff besides the cooks food tasting good hha 😂 keep it up fellas
@@4WD247 I have a 69 G-Wagon group I am encouraging to hit the road with me. I invited other 4WD owners and numbers are coming up. I am faithful, available and teachable. Ready to be guided by you. I have never gone camping but I am excited. Ready to explore The Pearl of Africa with your teachings.
With my 4wd in the shed getting a new engine and 2 weeks off, all I can say is thank god for thursdays and a new 4WD 24/7 episode so I can live my dreams while stuck at home 😂😂
I had one over the holidays to try. I picked it up in London and drove 300 miles home. It took 2 hours just to get out of London but I was as fresh getting out after 6 hours non-stop driving as I was getting in. Really loved how well it sat on the motorways. I never gave that lump a second thought. It goes to show that depending upon the person driving it you’ll have different experiences. Zero back pain and no hamstring ache that I get from my Jimny after 100 miles. Throughly enjoyed my time I it but it’s too big an investment for my use case. I just pop to the woods for a steak and beers for some downtime. Overlanders in countries that can really put it through its paces will have a blast.
Maybe a 1960s challenge, then a 1970s, 80s 90s etc. top gear style. You all get x amount of money then a bit more for mods. Each has to be a different make.
I’ve had the same experience with our US friends, I was in the US a few weeks ago in my mates gunshop, when we were introduced to a customer. He then quipped “from Australia hey, man there’s a lot of animals there that can kill you right?” I replied, if you’re in the wrong place at the wrong time. He then turned to my mate and said he needs a large calibre rifle because he had two grizzlies and a mountain lion hanging around his block. 🤔
New to this channel and absolutely loving it. It’s better than any TV show eva been on, and I laugh & laugh so much. You lads are tickling my desires to play more with my D Max 😁👌🏽♥️
Something I've noticed not many tourers have is a welder installed. I know Australia in general is very fire conscious but I would think adding one on at least a couple rigs in your fleet would be cheap insurance, make great content, and be trip altering if necessary. A couple battery's and some rod might have made the knuckle fix a bit more secure.
Now we have the inverter welders i carry one, its the size of a lunchbox, will do tig and runs off my 2000w inverter. I mainly carry for trailer and van repairs, Very hard to weld repair cast though and most steering components are very hard to weld
I know the feeling. I went to K'Gari a few years ago to try out my new offroad trailer. Fully loaded Troopy & trailer weight: 4.2 ton. Inskip point, the end of the bitumen part, just getting on the sand. I forgot to air down while I was talking about the trailer with a few peeps. The sand was soft with deep ruts leading up to the barge. Crawling along in low 1 lockers on and, zoop! my troopy sinks down to the axles halfway to the barge. People watching as I get out with the dunce cap on and start airing down. Fellow walk's over and states to obvious, "Want some help airing down"? "Nah mate, I've got it covered, thanks for the offer though". (So embarrassed) Air'd down to 16 psi added maxtrax, lockers on and drove out with a lot of people watching.
Wouldn’t be a 4WD 24-7 video without a Toyota break down or roll over!😜 Well Done guys, hopefully Jesse will get the almighty GU out a trip soon! Cheers Pat
31:36 Here in the USA we carry portable welders for repairs like this. They don’t take up much space. Welding a cast spindle isn’t for beginners but I’d trust my weld over a hose clamp.
@@Jyden_Carmody It's all fun and games bruv! I still find it funny how Shauno and Jocko both praise Daryl for being such a nasty beat up GQ yet comes on top on the most technical tracks. Then again, you have it being wheeled by none other than Jesse himself.
I’m a Toyota guy but we did Fraser years ago in a 130 defender, with 8 of us in it🤣 we were driving around Toyotas at Indian head, blew us away!! Awesome vid🤘🤘
I think a small inverter type stick welder and some 6011 rods can help out on the bush fix on that steering. With the massive 12V systems on your rigs, I think it can handle a small welder. In my opinion, stick welding is a very valuable (and easy to learn) skill to have when doing trips like these.
Beautiful scenery, awesome trails, here in Nova Scotia we are not allowed to drive on beaches, looks awesome,. I notice how much equipment everyone has, do you have an onboard welder in your rigs, they can help out for temporary repairs.
Those amazing rain forests exist because of a fungi that grows on the forest floor. It's where the trees get their nutrition from. I do miss the brumbies although they apparently caused a lot of damage
I've seen almost all of the video's even in working hours 😅. You guys are the best. I lived in Canada and up north we have great 4wd beast. Here in Portugal we have lots of Toyota's and Nissan's some Izusu Dmax and Ford Rangers. I own a Nissan Terrano II. Year 2000. 2.7 Turbo Diesel 💪
I’ve only been to Fraser Island once and that was about 6 years ago now, love the place, will be back one day soon I hope, love your content guys. Cheers and beers.
Another fraser trip aye? Done and dusted. Love that place. (Postans logging camp is a new discovery for me - added on our list for the next K'gari trip. Thanks).
Had a good time for a bush welding technique there. Two or three batteries, jumper cables and few welding rods. A few of that type of repairs I've done are still holding up, one I did on a trailer is still holding up twenty years ago.
I’ve been all over Fraser in an old ford courier with no issue I don’t understand the carry on and why your getting stuck.. is it because these rigs are so heavy??
Another good one for pipes is pipe fritters the task good and go along way with a big hungry crew brother good team work pulling the guy over the hill and to camp top blokes
Looks likes the 40 PSI club are back 😂 I guess it doesn't make for captivating content if no one gets bogged to their backside in sand 😋 Looks like fun lads!
Looked like an epic trip as always boys. Reach out if you need any tips 👌
When are mighty car mods going to join shauno on a trip?

That Defender is pretty cool, it looks like a 130 single cab with a tub tray, don't think I've ever seen one like it.
was a awesome looking rig!
Long Land Rover with a little TDI just walks through first try, love to see it
is it a tdi? got balls if it is. thought it might of been td5 with a bit of a tickle

Shaunos cooking gets me every time 😂
Awesome video as always 4WD 24/7 Crew. Fraser Island is one epic adventure and having all your mates along for the ride makes it even more epic.
Defender In these vids changes the game!! Best ever!
Love it how the flash Toyotas break and the old Defender keeps on chugging away 😂
many thanks. You inspired me to start a 4WD experience in Uganda. I am using a 1995 Mercedes 290DG. I hope to keep learning and being metored by you.

Cool to see the defender making it look easy
with the air down enough you dont even need to rev bomb to get through
The fraser island videos always rock! I'd like to hear some more focused audio on the exhaust sounds in moments like the ngkala rocks!
Its soo good to see a land rover on the channel finally.
Anything to break up the boring nissans and constantly broken toyotas 😂
Great to see the Land Rover in action again! Great trip, lads!
