      If you see the results! It's worth the 2.5k it cost me for the engine bay and underbody, all I had to do was rust proof underneath and it looks and is like new👌

Where they send it on every track, cause they know they can afford to get towed home and have 4 other vehicles they can drive and at the end of the episode tell you to just get out there and do it? Or do tracks on the other side of the country and get it shipped home again…

    Wow! Your 80 came up a million bucks! It’s great that you showcase these small businesses, because I had no idea dry ice blasting was even a thing. I will need to take my 80 there. Have to hire a car for a week, but it would be worth it! Keep up the great work guys.

    Mate my 80 is going in, it seriosly needs its bum cleaned, so those oil leaks are the two seals in the transfer case, nust did mine and perfect. I was also given a tip from top Toyota specialist always replace the aloy washer with a genuine new one and torque the bolt in to spec, over tension can crack the case easy.

    Does the Dry Ice blasting remove any existing bitumen coating?

    Im seriously impressed. My 31yo Range Rover Classic is in Melbourne at moment having engine management system overhaul thanks to Stafford at Kitsetperformance and I’m now thinking maybe carbon blasting underneath would be great to do while it’s over there (im based in Adelaide).     hi guys. have to say i never heard of dry ice blasting.it sure does a good job.very informative video. Now a QUESTION..im in ringwood,just in from Brisbane,i have a 2004 landcruiser with 5 speed box.pretty standard. need transfer case rebuilt. or replaced.recomendations for reliable repairs would be appreciated.

    I've started seeing dry ice blasting being advertised but was sceptical on how truly effective it is. But after seeing this, I'm mightily impressed. As you've said, it looks like it just left the factory. Do you have a rough estimate on how much the blasting and the coating cost to do an 80 Series like yours?

      I hate to say it, it's definitely expensive. It pretty much has to be, your bill has to cover that blokes labor for multiple days + the dry ice cost + the Aegis (which is $500 according to a quick google) + whatever margin allows them to keep the lights on and pay the rent. It's definitely not cheap because it logistically can't be.
      However a wise man once said, just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's overpriced.

    l've always wondered how effective dry ice blasting was, now I know. It's brilliant. Just curious, dry ice blasting clearly does not damage rubber, metal, paint etc., why was your car covered with plastic?

      Thousands. Just a dry ice clean is around $1200-1500.
      I'd dare say another 1500 for the coating applied

      From my research, the engine bay is about $1000 just for the clean, so this whole package would be well over $3k.
