I’m not used to seeing Jack be serious in a video. It’s freaking me out.
Dude same I feel like I'm in the matrix, for the first minute or so I will still confused on if it was satire or not.
I honestly don't know if he ever had a main channel video where he never made a joke. Such a surreal experience, but I'm here for it
Dude has one real passion in life. He loves him some foldy phones.
DEEPLY uneasy waiting for a bit that did not happen
@@namenamename390 The Mario movie review.
I’m amazed how far Apple has come to make the new Nintendo Ds. Thanks Samsung
Nintendo Ds nuts
@lShowSрееd shorts 🅥 fooling literally no one
@lShowSрееd shorts 🅥 bro seriously thinks saying (making fun of bots) will make him not a bot
And the new gameboy sp. Guess in the future we will have a gamepad tablet

We’re in the video-essay era of Jacksfilms
4 min essay?
@@p3t4l wasn’t thinking when i wrote it. but if he does, he’ll get ever closer to making those “films”.
well he is white
Someone else would drag out this news to like an 12 min video, that's why I love jacksfilms he gets straight to the point
@@Aaronnh Jack to the future was a (bad) film
Yes. Tech-Talk Jacksfilms is always quality Jacksfilms.
His lenovo vid is my favourite ❤️
We stan tech talks

@@nakulkp jack to the past?
Some jokes but not even remotely comedic and I still love it
Waiting for the new Jackfolds telephone
I really hope you continue this series, Jack. It’s how I’ve actually gotten my phone news because I don’t exactly go out of my way to find cool new phones.
It’s weird seeing Jacksfilms talk about phones but damn honestly he’s pretty good at keeping me interested.
Ive actually found a practical use for the small flip phone, my manager uses it because it fits in the front pocket of her suit jacket.
That's so cute honestly... That also feels like a spy move to me for some reason. Pocket square? Nope. A phone! And the camera is pointing right at youu!! You don't even know!!
Looks pretty useful for checking what song is playing as well, I'm always turning on my screen to see what song is playing and to add it to my liked songs to put in a playlist later, so I imagine it saves more battery just having that small display to do simple tasks like that
thats exactly why id get one, so it can actually fit in your pocket!
@@biancana An unexpected solution to the women clothes pocket problem.
@@anhelaanhela4996 an *expensive* solution
Greatly enjoy whenever Mr. Jacksfilms talks about tech because for reasons I am completely unsure of, I find it greatly entertaining
I unironically love candid tech Jack. Just up front and honest excitement and speculation with minimal snark. It's refreshing every time one comes out
I genuinely miss these tech talks and wish he did more of them.
That's on the tech industry
I’ve followed Jacksfilms for 11 years and in all this time I’ve come to love his absolute obsession with foldable phones
I love Jack's delivery, I could and would listen to him read or explain anything, even a phone book
Normal phones folding into smaller sizes is good: it’s making it more compact.
It needs stuff to be worked out, as do the big flipping phones. But being able to half the height of your phone to double the already super thin width of a phone can be a useful trade.
We need more Tech Talk from Jack, no cap. This is refreshing and fun to see.
You have nothing to apologize for John, we love your Nintendo DS talks as always
I actually like the clamshell foldable phones. I'm good with the size of my smart phone screen, but it's too big for my front pocket. So a normal sized smart phone that becomes smaller actually appeals to me.
Is it worth paying the same amount as a flagship phone for a smaller battery and worse cameras though? In the end the price might get cheaper but I dont think the battery and cameras will ever be as good as "normal" flagship phones, and thus I think normal flagship phones will always have a market. But the battery size problem at least might not matter if the rest of the phone's components get efficient enough for the phone to last 2 full days regardless.
Can’t you just get pants with bigger pockets instead of dropping a grand on a phone?
@@liamsz A grand is too expensive for any phone, so yes that's a problem and why I haven't bought one yet. But I still like the idea behind the phone and I don't like bigger pockets on pants.
@@utubekullanicisi The price is too high which is why I don't own one. However I still like the idea behind it. Also I don't care if the cameras aren't as good, phone cameras have been really good for a while, so I don't need the best cameras. Battery life not lasting is a legit issue though. If they can make the battery better and when they lower the price, I do plan on getting one.
@@liamsz you are actually paying ~200 usd for that feature. You question still holds and I'm not bashing it. But try to make a more reasonable comment please.
Loving these serious videos peppered in between the funny ones. This channel has changed so much over the years, an while I loved some of the earlier stuff, it’s still really fun to watch something entirely different today. You are one of the few RUclipsrs that has stayed interesting to me for so many years :)
i didnt expect this to be so genuine but im actually glad tech talk is back! one of my favourite things you do on the channel. been wanting a fold phone for the past 2 years now yet that price is still way too unaffordable. You can get a whole gaming laptop for that price
honestly, I would love MORE of these Tech Talks/Tech Tangents, as it's neat to hear from a more analytical/thoughtful side of you in terms of opinion on the latest tech news
Please tell me this is a serious vid, I fucking love hearing you nerd out
i love that jack will randomly drop a serious tech talk video
Love when Jack acts like some new device is "big news" while simultaneously being the only person talking about it.
Idk, my recommended page is full of techtuber talking about this.
It's all about which circle care about what
Pixel Fold has been making headlines before it was even out, what rock do you live under?
@@MobikSaysStuff Idk, the one where I don't have to listen to tech bros rambling about phones more expensive than a college kids rent
As someone with a zflip 3 right now, I'll never go back to a non folding phone if one is available, I'm excited to see this pixel come to fruition
I always lover seeing tech-talk jack, because I know he's completely serious and talking about something he's passionate about.
I've always respected your take on tech/gadgets and the straightforward presentation was a nice change of pace. Don't get me wrong, I love your comedy, but I think you also do pieces like this very well. Nice job.
Good video! In my opinion, you simply talking to the viewers about something (like this video and the mario movie video) is some of your best content, seems very genuine.
I tech channel from jack would be incredible. I love his genuine care and love for tech shows and he wants his audience to be in the know. I have the Zflip 4 and I absolutely love it, the crease is super noticeable after about 8 months. The best phone I've ever had, and for $1000 cad (after trade in) was great. I like it because I only wear shorts and when it's folded in my pocket I have more room for everything else I like to carry. Yeah it's thicker but I also don't have to worry about the screen getting scratched. The main reason I bought it is so that I would use my phone less, pretty fuckin stupid but it's worked. Being able to see the notification and be less easy to open it and check everything has made me more in the moment! Anyway great video, love you man! Been here for over a decade and I'll be here until it's over
I actually really like tech talk. Yes it’s a different step to the usual content but it’s still entertaining while also getting the main point across. Would love to see more!
This was genuinely an interesting video. Many of the points made were very well thought out yet their explanation remained simple and logical. Well done.
The innovation of Jack's creativity always surprises me! Whether it's his other series with content that comes all from his own head to remaking an MKBHD video that came out close to a decade ago, he's always bringing new commentary to the forum!
This video is super immersive on my galaxy z fold 3. I can really feel every time jack folds and unfolds his phone.
I was expecting a parody but this was actually informative... honestly useful. I haven't much cared for the foldy phones so far but any time I upgrade I do weeks of research :P I still got a chuckle out of the silent congratulations text and party poppers too lmao.
tech talk jack is definitely one of my favorite jacks
I've been waiting so long for tech talk jacksfilms to return
Just recently switched from an old iphone to the Flip 4. The fold may be better in some ways but I like my lil gameboy phone. Phones used to have so much personality to them they were a practically a form of expression in the early 00's I can't wait to see how else we break the brick mold.
Nice, it's the next episode of the "Jack talks about foldable phones"-series!
Great video Jack. Proud of you. Much to think about.
Been subbed since the golden age of 2016. I love the new mature JacksFilms lately.
I'm too invested in this topic and in Jack's take to actually even be the slightest bit upset about this being a 100% video. Keem em coming king.
Why is this an honest and earnest take on the pixel fold. I genuinely love this. I agree with you up to down. Competition is awesome, and although I kinda like the thinner cover screen of the fold for one handed use (if you use 2 hands, why not open it), I am so freaking happy. Google supporting foldables natively on Android means manufacturers won't have to spend as much effort to build features that are missing from the platform for their foldable phones. Competition competition competition.
Calm Jacksfilms, talking about phones is...great. I wanna see more of that. Not just phones -- games, movies, etc. Its really good content.
I wasn't expecting Jack to make a serious tech video, but I love it.
i quite enjoyed this serious review yet humorous- please do this some more when ya feel like :)
i actually appreciate these more serious vids
Love the Tech Tangents, Jack. Keep em comin until this turns into a tech channel.
I like how Jack's videos over the years are the only reason I ever hear or know anything about phones. I would otherwise be living under a rock. Thanks, Jack.
You have not only failed to convince me to buy this phone, Jack, but also you have repelled me from doing so. Thank you for saving me money 😊
I just got a galaxy z flip 3 refurbished. There are a few little scratches but it was under $400 and I get great joy from having a touch screen flip phone. Would enjoy more options for smart flip phones next time I get a phone. It’s not about using it closed lol. I do not care about practicality it is no more or less usable than my iPhone I had before but it’s cuter and when every phone is as you said about the same in size, camera, and capability, that’s what makes the difference.
Gotta love the background being SEGA's Original Xbox 360. I'll always cherish that OG foldable console from Sony.
I think the scary part about all this is
once it does skyrocket to being mainstream, it might do the same loop of "being boring" all over again and, we might have to delve into more ways to reinvent the phone again, which honestly, one day might have its reaching end
i would unironically love to watch tech videos from jack
Love the tech talks!!
I have the z flip 3 and i love it so much. I've had it for over a year and I've had no problems. I'm a big fan of these foldable phones and I'm looking forward to more types.
Love this thanks jack. I appreciate real shit like this
Good insight into the future of phones. Keen to look back on this in afew years and see if it's relevant. (Seriously, long term sub here)
Always love it when Jack makes a serious techtalk video, he's a wonderful at comedy but I can't get enough of his thoughts on the techworld today
thanks for the video essay Jack, will watch again while I'm having dinner
I love Jacks tech reviews
Very excited about today's video!
We need more Jack Tech Tips. I like this.
It's fun(ny) seeing Jacksfilms upload an actually legit video, you delivered on the why should I care that you presented at the beginning of the video.
A huge thanks to Lenovo for giving me their amazing, brand new phone, the Phab 2 Pro: the world's first phone with Tango
Where would the world be without your insightful commentary.
Please please keep doing more tech/movie/song reviews please this is great
Glad to see Geopold doing some tech reviews.
I ended up going with the s22 ultra over the zfold4 when I signed up with a new carrier, but I tell ya I really am interested in some day converting to a folder.
i really like this video, thank you jacksfilms
The only tech review I follow are one by Jacksfilms.
Top notch content.
Man I was waiting for the bit
Unironically love the tech videos
Can't wait for the next installment of Jacks Tech Films Tips
This is so in character and lore accurate, it wasn't event weird to see jack being serious
I love my Z Flip4, when folded it fits in smaller pockets & purses, & you can use it as its own camera stand w/ the smaller screen as a viewfinder
i love tech talk, this was so interesting!
Appreciate you explaining why the Pixel Fold is such a big deal to an audience of people who might not otherwise know or care. Thanks Jack!
Wow I had no idea you still did vids😅 now Alot to watch
I bought a preowned Galaxy Z Fold 3 earlier this year, and it's by far the best phone I've had. The foldable screen gives me a tablet, and the cover screen is easy to use quickly. I even bought an S Pen and use it to write down quick notes when giving piano tuition since it's more convenient than using paper, and I can never bother to type out quick notes like that. I live in Australia, so I'm not sure what Samsung's competition is down here, but the idea of foldable phones, or I guess hybrid smartphone/tablets getting more popular is really cool because they're just kinda handy! Although it would kinda suck not being the only person I know with a foldable, I think anyone who could use the novelty of a foldable phone should be able to appreciate it.
Also, if I had a disposable income, I'd definitely buy one of those flip phones because they're dumb and I kinda love that. My Fold would be my actual phone, though. Flip's more set dressing/backup.
Great video, Jack
I hope to one day have an audience like Jack's, so dedicated that he can go off on entire tangents and have viewers watch all the way through because we love him
MORE OF THESE PLEASE!!!
Nice video! It's also nice to see google optimise android/other apps to a large screen form factor which lowers the barrier of entry for the competition.
Another major thing with folding a flip smart phones is the failure rate for the crease in the screen. In the handful of Zflips I sold every single one has had its screen fail at the crease.
he's genuinely good at breaking down this tech space lol better than some people that do it full time
So glad TechTalk is back 👏👏👏
HELL YEAH I LOVE TECH TALK JACKSFILMS
Yesssss I had forgotten you like tech lmao. I’m your age and also a novice phone tech enthusiast who always has 2-3 phones in rotation. Lifetime android user though I’ve had 3 iPhones over the years (always in rotation with androids) AND I’m a pixel stan. With that being said, I doubt I’ll be getting their first foldable device, I’ll wait until they work out the kinks. And I just love your point. More competition here in the US is going to change the game much more quickly than things were previously moving. Also, I own the z flip 4 hamburger and love it but it is solely from a nostalgia/aesthetic standpoint. All the “how I decorated my z flip 4” videos got to me 🥴
I love you out of the blue genuine videos lol, always a nice surprise
I'm very happy about this. I love my Zfold3, and I'm not sure if I can go back to having a non-folding phone. Some good competition will absolutely push new innovation and improvements
I was waiting for a joke to land but then I realized you were being serious, then I realized I actually liked it! Keep it up man
Wow, who knew John was just a good tech reviewer. You have a bright future ahead of you.
Exactly, competition drives innovation
Jack is already a better consumer technology youtuber than anyone else on this site
I love hearing Jack agree almost word for word what I believe about foldables. When I tell my friends, no one cares. It's good to know Jack's in my corner
I appreciate Tech Jack. Pretty cool seeing him speak in a serious tone for once!
What excites me about the pixel Fold as well is that it's compact when folded. In a world full of massive, chonky smartphones that I can scarcely use with one hand, and with the more up to date compact models being some of the more pricey ones, it's a welcome change to see a phone that's less than 6 inches in height leading the pack and hopefully inspiring a return to more compact phone sizes across the price spectrum
Okay you've convinced me, I'm intrigued
I unironically hope we get more Tech Talk, more often.
I like when u get informational with it
I was a pretty early adopter to the DSi, should i keep my eyes out for an upgrade or am i still good?
