A very, very good exception to that is a performance of I Will Always Love You from 2004 in Bangkok. You can look it up on RUclips, it's here. The key was lower, she took it slower as well, and it's a very sweet and emotional performance. I love it

But Whitney's real brilliance can better be heard live than on her albums without any doubt (and the only official live album is subpar).

The beautiful intro melody sounded a bit like Whitney's covers of "Don't Cry" or "In Return," both of which were originals of CeCe Winans. I so love this woman. It's so hard to watch her videos, and Whitney was always my most beloved and favorite vocalist. I grew up with her starting from the 80s. I was there with her almost from her humble beginnings. Whitney exuded such grace, elegance, class, and beauty.
