I have to chuckle a little bit when people can't tell the difference between lip-synching and singing. It's because in the last 20 years it's become SO common-place. To me, they're as different as speaking and singing. This IS 100% LIP-SYNCHING. No if's, and's or but's about it. And, that's ok. I have to chuckle a little bit when people can't tell the difference between lip-synching and singing. It's because in the last 20 years it's become SO common-place. To me, they're as different as speaking and singing. This IS 100% LIP-SYNCHING. No if's, and's or but's about it. And, that's ok. The little difference in the "you" at the end, was probably changed w/a button in the studio. Whitney acts TOTALLY different when she 'lip's vs. singing; she 'acts' rather than just 'feels' the song
She totally lipped this performance. I played this performance and the studio version at the same time and it was identical. She must've been forced to lip sync, because Whitney has always been very honest with her singing. Just listen to the Nothing But Love tour performances. I will always love Whitney regardless.

singers have to have lip sync just in case something goes wrong before the performance and the singer is unable to sing. some singers abuse this policy. we all know plenty of singers who lip sync every time
@kmaur21 lip-synched. It was 100 percent the studio version until that last "you", which was shortened a bit (an easy studio 'correction'). I'm sure there is more than one studio version, anyway.

Folks, this is lip sync all the way. Notice how her throat doesn't vibrate when she hits the big notes. Plus it's way too similar to the recorded version.
most of the shows in europe make your lip synch because they cannot support live performances. they do not have the equipment to do so. its not cheap!
