Huge fan. I have a question that might seem a bit unusual: Is it possible to install a mid-mount turbo on a 350Z HR while keeping the catalytic converters? I currently have AAM Competition high-flow resonated cats on my car and would like to retain them. I'm thinking about a PTE 6266 turbo build and would prefer a mid-mount setup over front or rear mount. However, it seems the only way to keep the catalytic converters is with a rear-mount setup, which I’m not interested in. Would it be better to consider supercharging instead? Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't remember what BOV this car is using, but the sound you hear is a little bit of compressor surge at the end since the BOV isn't releasing all of the air in the system.
It’s gotta be heavier than a Evo 3 😂 I think 3200lbs but your car going 4.5 60-130 (American units) with 550whp is very hard to believe unless it weighs 2500 something.

It's been making over 600WHP for nearly a year now, I'd say if you keep it around 600WHP it would last you a few years of hard/enjoyable driving. 700WHP is uncharted territory for long term use and could be considered "for drag racing only" :)

Yeah, you would need a custom midmount manifold that had cats in it, or install a GESI cat in the downpipe with a standard midmount turbo kit.
