Love my trekking poles. Black diamond brand. On our Philmont trek last year I used the same feet for mine. It was a great tip. My poles were useful on all the rocks. Also liked how it saved the trails by not leaving holes all over.
The bottom needs to be extended all the way or it will vibrate. It vibrates way less when the bottom is fully extended while the middle one you can adjust to whatever height

Yep. The holes get really bad in some areas. When did you go? I was with a 618 crew in 2022.

I've not experienced that. And I like to extend the smallest section the least amount because it is the weakest section.
Are the carbide tips replaceable?
Yep. But in nearly all cases it is better to remove them.
