What happened at Penn State was 1,000x worse than what happened at SMU. Everyone did what SMU did. But what happened at Penn State was unique and very, very bad.

The most overblown situation in the history of sports. Sandusky's crimes had nothing to do with PSU football or anything else. And Paterno had no idea he didn't build a career covering up anything let alone a pedo.

You do realize that paterno DID cover it up? He knew about it for 10 years after McQueary reported it to him in the early 2000s and they allowed him to keep running his camp on their facilities. Coach BOB and the players should not have penalized, but that doesn’t mean it had nothing to do with PSU football.
