As a Penn State Alum it was great having O'Brien for those 2 years. Perfect coach for that time. Hated to see him go but understood why he needed to go to the NFL. Will always root for him when I can.

Will always respect and like O’Brien for how he navigated Penn State through this. Was sad when he left for Houston, but never blamed him for it.

As a Michigan fan, all respect to Bill O'Brien Penn State. Leave it to the NCAA to punish those student athletes that had nothing to do with Sandusky.

BS. Numerous admins at PSU enabled the whole thing for decades

@@KNR6292 I get that but punish the admins not the athletes. The admins barely got anything. Maybe some easy jail time but mostly house arrest

Freshman Saquon behind Nelson and McGlinchy would have been fun as hell.

Adam, can you give a rundown of the guys that were onboard to go to PSU before the sanctions hit? I know you mentioned Ryan Switzer and David Johnson. Were there any other big name guys that PSU missed out on?

What happened at Penn State was 1,000x worse than what happened at SMU. Everyone did what SMU did. But what happened at Penn State was unique and very, very bad.

It never happened. Research John Ziegler. If Adam has any credibility he would interview Mr. Ziegler but he won’t. They all know it behind the scenes but it would take balls for anyone who wants access to the PSU program to pursue the truth.

You might want to read the end of the story. Said the attorney who prosecuted Sandusky "I see no evidence that Joe Paterno participated in any coverup." ESPN did not tell you that because there are no rating there. Google it!

Too bad football is apparently more important than punishing folks who cover up child abuse

The most overblown situation in the history of sports. Sandusky's crimes had nothing to do with PSU football or anything else. And Paterno had no idea he didn't build a career covering up anything let alone a pedo.

Are you serious?? “The most overblown situation in the history of sports. Sandusky’s crimes had nothing to do with PSU football or anything else.” You do realize that a former coach hosted a camp on PSU football facilities and raped underprivileged boys for decades? You do realize that paterno DID cover it up? He knew about it for 10 years after McQueary reported it to him in the early 2000s and they allowed him to keep running his camp on their facilities. Coach BOB and the players should not have penalized, but that doesn’t mean it had nothing to do with PSU football.
