Haha thanks mate. Hashtagthefoottap actually started as a dumb joke at work between me and a couple of mates. I put it into videos cos they were pretty much the only people that watched them at the time, then it just became a thing. @@rodneyhull9764 not one I fancy doing again, but would have been so much easier if I hadn’t lost me hose clamp tool, the cable type that fits into spaces

Why do they make things so difficult to get to, it was a nice easy job on my last golf mk2. The auto choke used to rot on the mk2 and the temp sensor always played up
Guessing the process is the same for the cfgb engine then? This always tends to happen in the winter too. I literally searched for this video and this was posted 6 hours ago lol 😂
Yea I think it’s the same job on the CFGB, but please let us know if it is when you do yours? Yea winter definitely shows up bad thermostats, especially in diesels. I changed another one today on a Renault Scenic dCi that was also running cold
@StupidBlokeStupidVideos what's the average time of this job? Isit an all day one and what's the average cost you'd be paying for it via trade you reckon?
@ I’m not sure to be honest. I was filming it so it took 10 times as long as it would have. If I’d have had my hose clip removal tool and wasn’t filming the job, I reckon it would have taken me a couple of hours

Not that I know of, it still appears to regen as usual, it seems that these cars idle higher than usual when doing a regen and it’s still doing that every now and again. That was my main concern about it actually. Should get it done really, not keen on finding out the cost though

Yes VW make things that will need changing stupidity hard. Especially thermostats. The 3.0 tdi have 2 one is really easy the second is in the most ridiculous place possible.
